Diablo® III

D3 coming to PS3/4

Not sure if others have seen it (on home page, cant link bc im on my fone), but as title says our fav game is coming to PS3 in march. I think its a great step personally.
I wonder if you would be able to use the same account. I cant imagine why you wouldnt be able to. But i wouldnt mind playing on PS3 to see how it plays in comparison. Also, playing in HD on a big TV would be far better than a 20inch monitor :p

Why would you want to pay $118* for a game you are already playing?

*Current advertised price on EB games

Can you not just download the client to your PS3? just like if you want to play it on multiple computers?

This should be the case, but I doubt it. I have the purchased the mac version but have downloaded both PC and Mac clients - I think they will somehow not allow this though.

Id D/L a demo first to see how it plays. And if it were on par with PC id def consider buying it (once the price had dropped) just to b able to sit on a couch n play on a big screen. I imagine spamming keys/buttons wouldbt b so tough on ur hands either

I don't think they will do cross platform play at all, would surprise me if they did. I don't think that PS3/4 players will be able to play with PC/Mac.

Anything that brings Diablo more players is good I think and the concept of having a friend over or playing with the GF on the couch on the big tv is awesome, the UI looks good for it too.

Not enough to sell me on a PS4(maybe consider it for my PS3) but still very cool.

Yeah I don't think that PS players will be able to play with PC players. This is ture with other games that have come out in the past i.e. Halo 3 i got it with out doing any research after i got it for my Xbox and then found out that you weren't able to have the same freinds list, it seemed as thought it was a completly diff server. but, IDK. I hope this wont attract more to go to PS then we loose all our PC friends.

I wonder how many people will make the move for a fresh server if that is the case Narull.

That's the trick, it would be very appealing to a lot of people. Even I'd love to start a new with all the fixes that have been put in place since launch. I wonder what the econ would be like...

I would love to know what servers are going to be used and wether or not the Auction house is going to be on this platform

There has also been a hint that this game can be played offline on the playstation, well it would have to play offline, Sony haven't got the best record for good servers....hmmm perhaps this is what has attracted blizzard lol

I wouldn't be surprised if diablo 3 ends up being on ps4 only- last min change in blizzards quality control.

Well we will see, but I can tell you this I am not spending another $900 on another playstation I don't care how good the hardware is and having d3 on it

It's been confirmed that their is no RMAH on the ps version, but I don't know about normal AH.

They have also said you can play 4 player local offline and that there is no cross play between ps and pc.

I can't see them making it only ps3, more money if it's on both ;)

We are going to have too, no reason to think otherwise since there is no interaction between pc/console.

If you're a PC player you've already paid for the software. Requiring a customer to purchase a second copy to use on a PS3 is almost the same as requiring licensing for more than one computer. I don't think that's a good way to take the industry and I think that's the consensus among those familiar. So, are you charging for licensing or just charging a current customer to purchase a modified or updated version of software they have already purchased?

Nexium? Please clarify. This is a more than worthy successor of Diablo; I at least am willing to support whatever you require if it allows you to continue to produce quality like this.
