battle.net launcher WoW update

Mac Technical Support
My battle.net Launcher tries to update WoW everytime I quit WoW.

The AgentError logfile contains these lines:

[W 2018-05-28 10:35:29.0018] Process does not have permissions to path - '/Applications/Games/wowEU/Cache/ADB/deDE/DBCache.bin'
[W 2018-05-28 10:35:29.0019] Unable to validate permissions, setting playable to false - wow_dede

Deleting the cache folder doesn't help.
File permissions of the parent folders are correct.
found the problem:

WoW writes the file "Cache/ADB/deDE/DBCache.bin" with UNIX permissions 600 (octal) on exit.

The Agent cannot read the file and does a full update, and changes the UNIX permissions to 777 (octal).

I think the battle.net Launcher has an error in the permission check function.
The AgentError logfile has the following line:

Failed to download url "http://eu.patch.battle.net:1119//versions?nocache=1301715304"
The bug is not fixed yet, but it's a different file now.

[W 2019-03-20 08:13:34.0161] Process does not have permissions to path - '/Applications/Games/wowEU/_retail_/WTF/SavedVariables/Blizzard_Console.lua.bak'

Heya,

Lets be sure that FileVault is disabled. It may also be a good idea to make sure third party software is allowed on your device.

If your system is compatible with it, a combo update is another good step to try.
