Jul 10, 2012 Questions to trolls or QQers I see some people saying "game is dead it's too late" or "people are leaving this game sucks". My questions to those unhappy players are... 1. Do you want the game to get better? Trying to leave feedback to support blizzard 2. Are you just leaving the angry message to blizzard, hoping they will listen 3. Trolling to entertain yourself 4. really unhappy, never buy blizzard game again. Never means never ever ever, even if blizzard makes greatest game of the year and everyone's hooked to it, you still NOT gonna buy it. 5. getting more frustrated by those QQ/whining posts, and now you are one of them. 6. none of the above.Dudebag28 Jul 10, 2012
Jul 10, 2012 Why is our sole game playing time is limited When I buy Diablo 3, I am under the impression that I can play the game on my time schedule. However, the all too frequent game patch update killed by game time. I am from Asia, but to be able to play with my friend, I create the character in USA server. However, I am forced to log off the game server due to these maintenance, for the whole night, which effectively is my whole day of playing time is killed. Thus I am play a game which I can only play 6 days out of the week. Please consider this one minor complaint, out of all of the mountain of compliant your company is receiving, and try to come up with a solution to make players happy. Making players happy should be important to your company, right. I mean, your company is now not only making money out of the retail copy of the game, but out of the auction house. Jul 10, 2012 Over/Under on the possibility..... of Blizzard fixing the broken economy. I thought DRM was designed to stop bots and hackers yet the economy has been flooded by them. Jul 10, 2012 Level requirement on Gems. This is seriously need to be added. A level 10 barbarian with weapon with 1 socket, adds radiant star Amythest for 600 life per hit. Jul 10, 2012 Inferno act 2 is just stupid So I thought maybe I was just getting really unlucky before and decided to give act 2 another go. At this point I don't think luck or RNG has much to do with how stupid act 2 is compared to act 1. Barbarian with 15k damage, 60k life, 8500 armor. I can breeze through act 1, die maybe once, never skipping a champ pack. Step into act 2, and first it takes me way longer to kill anything. Then I run into a champ pack of bees with frozen, reflects damage, fire chains, teleporting. I don't even try to kill them. I just kite 'em away and move on. Next an elite Lacuni Huntress with horde, frozen arcane enchanted fast. died 3 times dealing with that one, but finally got it down. Next was a champ pack with illusionary, firechains, jailer, reflects damage. Tried 5 or 6 times to kill them and failed, usually dying when I had 10 or 15 of them surrounding me and no where to go. Then I all the gold I made in act 1 plus some went to repairs. This is supposed to be fun? I can tell you right now, it's not. People who are willing to throw themselves into that fire must be masochistic. If Blizzard really wants to smooth the transition in difficulty from act 1 to act 2 (which I thought was their goal when they "nerfed" inferno the first time), then they need to nerf act 2 mob health by about 25% across the board. Also, they need to adjust how much damage bees and lacuni mortar attacks can deal--it's still too high. Lastly, as has been said many many times on here already, look at those champ affix combos and put some kind of restriction on them.Soulseeker7896 Jul 10, 2012
Jul 10, 2012 Feedback on Followers and their "Auto Attack" As a long time WOW and warlock player, I have come to re-experience the HORROR of my pet being on aggressive and barreling into a pack of mobs I didn't want to attack yet. Now my memory is a bit hazy from my D2 days. I cannot tell you how many times I have cursed at my screen because I've seen a treasure goblin, moved to clear around him, didn't see him in the upper corner where a random mob from the pack I was killing ran to, or got just too close depending on the attack range of the follower I'm using to not being able to kill them because of the follower attacking before I was ready or could respond. At this point the only workaround that I have figured out is a quick dismiss of the follower before they attack the Treasure Goblin and this is highly undesired and not good when you're battling an elite pack in inferno. I would like to suggest some sort of follower control option, much like the pet bar for the WOW pet classes to allow you to set their attack status. Ideally it would be some sort of combination between aggressive/assist, defensive, and passive since the WOW pets went from aggressive/defensive/passive to assist/defensive/passive.Frack0 Jul 10, 2012

Jul 10, 2012 Dear Blizzard: main reason that D3 is failing Diablos 1 & 2 were so addictive for the item hunt, and always feeling that the next ph@t l3wt would be just around the corner. Gambling psychology explains why people are getting bored and leaving Diablo 3. 1. Partial reinforcement You don’t have to be a psychologist to know that reinforcement strengthens behaviour. Reinforcement may be provided on a continuous basis, such as when a child gets $1.00 every time he wins a game of Scrabble, or on a partial basis, as when a person wins at the slot machine after 6, 20, or 100 tries. As counter-intuitive as it may seem, behaviours tend to persist longer when they are partially rather than continuously reinforced, and this is a major reason why casinos are hardly ever out of business. People don’t expect to win every single time they gamble so when they encounter a loss or even a string of losses, it comes as no big surprise. It’s simply counted as part of the game. Nevertheless, gamblers do expect to be reinforced some of the time and it is this expectation, this belief that “I’ll get lucky next time” that motivates them to continue. They can never be sure which bet will produce rewards but they believe that if they play long enough their patience will eventually pay off…literally! Basically, we're not being reinforced for our gameplay. For working hard to push through the levels the drops frankly suck. Your attempts to tweak the drop rate in order to have players use your precious auction ("shut up and give us your money") house mean that actually playing the game no longer triggers the part of our brains that gets excited when we get our 'big win' i.e. awesome loot. TL;DR we're playing a slot machine that is rigged not to even give us a few pennies back. Gamblers i.e. players need that stimulation to keep us motivated to continue playing. Jul 10, 2012 I just found Development Hell I just managed to find Development Hell, on Hell Difficulty, on my third try of looking for some Haunts that I haven't found yet. What do you think happens? Battlenet Servers disconnects me about 100 yards into the dungeon. What were the odds of finding it? What were the odds getting disconnected before finishing it? What's the over/under on the server? Jul 10, 2012 Hardcore PvP Suggestion The team has stated that if HC characters do PvP, their characters will not be permanently defeated. This is fine. However, I have an idea, kind of similar to wagering. Let's say you have a L60 HC character. You can either queue for "Normal" matches in which you don't die permanently, or you can queue for "Risky" matches. In these, you and 10 other players would have a FFA. The map would be huge, and it would be kind of similar to the hunger games. Anybody who dies, dies permanently. However, the winner of the match could get a large sum of gold (over 20 million) and a cool title or something. I thought this idea could add a lot more benefits to making a HC character. Jul 10, 2012 Oh, look the servers are down again... (Tues) How can a game need such constant maintenance? How is it not possible to allow offline play, and update your stats and info as soon as the server comes back online? Some of us don't really care about RMAH, or online play. I just want to play the damn game, and it seems like every time I sit down to play there is some kind of update going on. Broken game. I want to like it, but it is broken. Jul 10, 2012 Act2 & 3 loot broken again? Atleast EU ACT2&3 loot seems to be broken. Because most of players have quit and there is too much stuff on RMAH? Last few days there has been really terrible drops, im not talking about the quality, talking about ilvl. ACT3 drops just low lvl items for example Asmodan drops ilvl51 1h, ilvl56 2h, ilvl59 chest - not once, not twice but multiple times. These numbers might be between approx drop rates, but something has happened to rare drops. Had to kill 29 packs before first rare ilvl63 dropped. Think about these numbers without any MF, just NV stacks... would be closer 2*2+23*1 rares than 56. ACT2 is pretty much same as ACT3, i was finaly going to get some sample data but got totaly frustrated after 30 packs (this incl Kulle and Belial). This is definetly not good sample, but there might even be more ilvl63 and 62 than i got recently: 30 Packs (2x boss, first 5 packs incl, MF 317%, 2 packs with extra 25% MF) ---- Rares: ilvl <60: 18, of all 15,9%, ilvl/all 31,0% ilvl 60: 10, of all 8,8%, ilvl/all 15,0% ilvl 61: 14, of all 12,4%, ilvl/all 25,7% ilvl 62: 13, of all 11,5%, ilvl/all 20,4% ilvl 63 1, of all 0,9%, ilvl/all 8,0% Magic: ilvl <60: 17, of all 15,0% ilvl 60: 7, of all 6,2% ilvl 61: 15, of all 13,3% ilvl 62: 10, of all 8,8% ilvl 63: 8, of all 7,1% ------ Total items 113Rush0 Jul 10, 2012
Jul 10, 2012 Thanks for the ninja maintenance change... Just for the record, if you're going to change the maintenance times, could you please use the bloody system announcements in-game? Your posts said 6 AM earlier, and then at 4:55 AM I get greeted with a "shutting down the system in 15 minutes to pick up an update" message. Huh? Funny, I thought, "uh, when does 5:10 AM = 6 AM??" So I was like "oh well, got time for one last run". Nope. Error 300008. Can't make any more games. So not only did you change the time from 6 AM to 5 AM while players were playing and well after the thread was up and most people read it, but the supposed 15 minute window really wasn't (the game servers got shut down immediately without warning). You might want to take your right hands away from the collective crotches and reintroduce them to the left hands. You can use sock puppets if you must to facilitate a friendly get together. Either way, you need to at least get that much done, because obviously your departments aren't communicating with each other, thus causing misinformation for the end users. Note: When I logged in at 10 PM PDT Monday night (when I restarted my play session after dinner was done), my login screen showed no info at all (no message), so I figured it was still 6 AM for the maintenance window starting time. Man was I a schmuck for ever thinking it would go smoothly. Kind of makes me wonder what else you're going to ninja change today... The question is, Has anyone gone from 1-60, and beating inferno with gear they looted themselves, without ever going to the AH and RMAH, and can they also farm all acts in that looted gear? Jul 10, 2012 Diverse Builds are fun until... stop ENRAGE! I have a blast stacking skills that aren't typical. Making a class that uses mostly one skill branch instead of diversifying can be a ton of fun. However, I start feeling cornered when I play in inferno ACT 1. (Haven't spent much time in ACT 2 and dread the optimal play style requirements there.) The problem isn't so much with gear and weapons. There are some really cool weapons that have lower DPS. I would love to use them and excel with a dagger that has some killer stats but dismal DPS. But I can't... Why? Because I have to kill the stupid monsters in 5 minutes or less. I have had very survivable builds on 4 different classes and have had to modify due to this stupid enrage timer more than once. Why do I have to kill elites and bosses so quickly? What is the logic here? If I want to take 10 hours to kill an elite pack then why can't I? Somebody please explain?!?!?!?!Moose4 Jul 10, 2012

Jul 10, 2012 Add Charms Ideas.. Why not add charms to the game? Like make a new inventory page that is for charms only, that has like 3v3 = 9 slots or 4x4= 16 slots to put charms in to get addition bonus? So it doesnt take up your inventory spaces. there is like 3 different size of charms that takes 1,2,3 slots like d2. Grand Charm is skiller(+1 earthquake with +1 specific rune) takes 3 slots. Medium charm is for stats, takes 2 slots. A small charms for magic find/gold find takes 1 slot. Remove all magic find/gold find on all gears and transfer them to charms.Azaroth0 Jul 10, 2012
Jul 10, 2012 Linear Progression/ no incentive to keep play Blizzard is tying to force this linear progression model of gamplay into everyone throats. The whole point of a good game is the variety of gameplay it offers the player. For D3, the developers are trying to go for "there can only be 1 way to beat the game". Why? Because the base mechanics (small item base/ no variety in items/ drop mechanics dependent on chances) are so poorly designed and thought of, blizzard was forced to take that road. - Like other players have said before, there is nothing to do after beating diablo in inferno. The only thing left is farm some gold and then farm some more gold and hope for an occasional good item. I don't think the player base will last until PVP comes out.Phreaks8 Jul 10, 2012

Jul 10, 2012 Suggestions/Feedback on Cydea IMO the Cydea fight (on inferno) is just as terrible as Ghom since patch 1.0.3 for non-overgeared peeps. I have only faced her on a barb and witch doctor each with 15k dps and survivability and LoH (barb more so). Their sets each cost about 2 million (which seems like little to the people who farm 10 hours a day, but I think 2 million for armor takes some time to get for anyone else). I used a 10 million gold weapon for both of them (LoH high dps socketed, most wouldn't have access to a weapon like this either unless they farmed a ton). WHY SHE SEEMS BROKEN 1. Cydea's timer to jump up and spawn spiders is constantly going, so if one takes time to kill the spiders she'll keep hopping up even though your not getting her health down at all. 2. If one focuses Cydea the whole fight and ignore spiders the fight takes 10+ minutes because Cydea runs after every hit (with no collision), or jumps up into the air and spawns more spiders. 3. Spiders hit crazy hard, and have messed up/large hit boxes. WAYS TO IMPROVE THE FIGHT 1. Make it so Cydea jumps up when she loses a certain portion of health 2. Make it so Cydea runs less or slower 3. Reduce spiders strength, fix their hit boxes, give them less hp Doing only 1 or 3 will make the fight loads better. And yes I understand this fight is cake if you have 50k plus dps or a barbarian, but for normal gears this fight is ridiculous and long.Vhigdo11 Jul 10, 2012

Jul 10, 2012 Introducing Anya The Battlemage! Introducing Anya The Battlemage! Just put together a video this evening of some Act 2/3 runs. Playing melee as a Wizard might not seem like the ultimate choice but I'm having a lot of fun with it. I started out like most others using all kinds of ranged abilities and I enjoy swapping skills around, testing new things but I've been playing this spec or variations of it for a few weeks and find that even though it's very gear dependant I feel it has potential. There's a second short vid for the obligatory gear/talent check. I could use some more AS and Crit Dmg for sure and well.. hey it never stops. Rome wasn't built in a day! Let me start by saying I appreciate your (Blizzards) efforts at taking in community feedback before changing the game drastically but yea everyone talks about all the options that blizz has laid out for mf gear swapping but honestly what is the real problem and who really cares? I want mf because the loot in this game is already terrible enough without it and killing act 3 and 4 stuff while wearing mf gear is nearly impossible and I don't want to farm act 4 without getting good loot. At the moment my group is about to launch a stream we 5 stack kill diablo for fun and are going to attempt to help the community gain access to the same content we kill aswell as have as much fun as we do killing it (which is a plus for you blizzard). Again what is the problem? Why can't you guys focus on something more important like community feedback and updates? What is even bothering blizzard about the mf situation? Jul 10, 2012 Inferno act 3-4 is a joke of the days It doesn't matter about the raise of drop-rate: - OLD ilv63 act 1 2% ilvl62 4% - NEW ilvl63 act 1 4% ilvl62 8% This kind of math is the same as more lower tier ilvl 61-62 drop more than ilvl 63, unless tier 61-62 is lesser % than tier 63 than we will see more ilvl63 item.. The point is ppl buying godly item is to test out high dps to kill inferno act 3 as the mob is million HP ( x5-10 time of act 1) but still we die most of the time as the elite pack is too strong with their spell freeze,stun,slow,wall and ensnare us even with 1.2k resistance.. (1 hit KO by arcane sentry) Everyone just saying kite or ask a tanker infront but as you know the elite packs can throw tons of spell and acane sentry or run faster than everyone of us.. I keep hearing that we build this and build that but end up blizzard will get red-eye and start to nerf out the ground of our skills.. XD The damage changes depending on what weapon you're using, is this tied into the overall DPS or the min-max damage? For example, with no weapon equipped it is 18%, my 700dps 231-788 dmg bow is 28%, and my 952.2dps 304-886 dmg 1h xbow is 32%. The bow has extra fire damage - the one hander has extra arcane. I'm curious, because it seems like 18% additional weapon damage is 18% additional weapon damage, and just does more if a weapon does more damage - but the skill is telling me it literally does even more extra damage with a higher damage weapon. I've never seen another skill change like this, and maybe I'm just confused (or drunk! - or fail at some type of math), but could somebody clear this up for me? I think I'm mostly confused because none of the other skills I've seen change their 'does xxx weapon damage' depending on a piece of gear I'm wearing. Edit: Orrr... it's based off the attack speed you get depending on the weapon. That'd make sense, since it is a DOT. Jul 10, 2012 This may be can "destroy" BOT Maybe we can`t destroy BOT,bur we can make BOT useless. Here is my suggest: Make the BULE,GOLD monsters and BOSS much more coin drop,and the normal monster very few coin. Use BOT can`t defeat the BULE,GOLD and BOSS right?So,we can make the effect of BOT useless. Just think WOW.In WOW,only the mission and BOSS give us much coin.The D3 has less mission,but have BULE and GOLD monsters.Alma9 Jul 10, 2012
