3h tall+ shorts mands rings ? hello there fellow WD's :) i have been testing and lvl up many WD and the 2 rings can drop from 31 and 34 and i have never seen a drop while lvl up. are they verry low drop rate % on them 2 items ? nothing i love more is a tall or a short mands finger while i lvl op the first day in season 10 .11. 12 etc etcCode1870 3h

15h Resource help for 2p/3p Arachyr comp grifting I've done some runs with my arachyr firebats doc lately. It's been doing well, but I seem to be running out of mana a decent amount, and I'm not sure how to fix this. It's especially killing me at the RG fight, but sometimes in the middle of large mobs when there's too much bleeding that didn't quite die, I also run out. The 2p/3p setup uses the poison spirit instead of the one that returns mana, and I guess it's not competitive without it. Either way I'd like to know what I"m doing wrong before we attempt more runs today, so I've used Shadowplay to tape my most recent runs. 22h Looking to push into mid-80s solo My seasonal WD here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Cupelix-1806/hero/78849717 My Arachyr set isn't great but I can do GR80 with it. Not very consistently. I have a better HT set that I managed to use to clear GR81 with a little luck. 75s I can do 100% of the time with 5+ mins left on either build. Looking to do the same in the mid-80s. With HT I survive easier but the damage output is too spread out. Arachyr feels really squishy in comparison even with Unity. I feel easily at risk while "setting up". Is it down to better gear? More paragon? l2play? Or am I at a point where I need to start rift fishing to push higher? I feel like I do okay in pub groups with Arachyr. What level should I be able to run in groups? Should I find such a group and build up more paragon?Cupelix1 22h
1d Want to get rdy for 2.5 I have not played this game in years. I recently watched a video on youtube that showed the armory and that is something I wanted. It was never fun for me to have to manage items the way this game required. Few questions I prefer a pet build, the only viable one from way back was darts/zuni. (from reading posts it seems zuni is ironically the crap set now) I would like to see some of the new pet builds. Looks like something with Helltooth is the way to go now. I think even have a set that I never wore because that set was terrible. I actually never liked the zuni set as much as using my Garg, and dogs, and it seems now there is a way to do that. I am reading up on it but wanted to get some input here also. Did pet AI ever get any better? Another thing, Back when I was heading out of the game there was a hot debate about character creation predetermining parts of RNG. For instance the number of people whom never saw a SMK then Plvled up another WD and got them very quickly. I was curious if anyone remembers if this theory was ever resolved. I know my main WD never got one, and think it was 2 alt WDs then got it. But you never know, could have just been luck Looking at the leaderboards... does anyone remember when WDs would use the Skorn and Bats. It seems that kind of play has been reincarnated with the new spider set. Is that how that set plays? I still preferred pets, but just curious. Lastly what is the rule of thumb now? I am not sure what torment I should be in, looks like that has changed also. Should I do some regular Rifts and shoot for X time to get an idea of where I should be? or is there another way to figure out what is your optimal difficulty level. Speaking of progression... Blood shards should they go towards missing set pcs or is the best possible thing to get just weapons for that elusive best possible roll for biggest bump in power. 2d How do you open doors with Helltooth Pet build? I like the Helltooth pet build the most so far i'd say, sadly, no Arachyr top GRs hype for me :), i just dont like the playstyle . But whats bugging me, how the hell you open "destroyable" doors? Only thing that do direct dmg is Piranhas and thats pretty long CD, not to mention sacrificing its CD just to open faking door annoys me. Its even better when you have it on CD and you stand in front of a door with 7+1 pets of yours and wainting, jesus :S Harvest, Wall of Death, pets.... nothing will open the god damn door or clear the obstacle in corridor. 3d WD Build Critique Hi All - first post but I have been playing since original Diablo. I never got serious about making a build that could really push until 2.4 so I am sure I am missing the finer points. I cleared a GR 78 with this build (barely) but haven't been able to clear a 79. Biggest problem is that I lose my soul harvest stack while fighting the guardian and then survivability drops too low and he just keeps killing me until timer runs out. Other than pushing paragon until I am stronger - I can't think of what else to do. Would appreciate critique of my build and any pointers about what needs improving to push higher. Thanks! 4d Locust swarm falling off monsters I have been noticing as of late that locust swarm has been dropping off its targets for no reason while i'm spinning to win with firebats. I have the passive creeping death naturally. You can clearly tell when it's off due to monsters taking crap for damage. Then I reapply and all the sudden they take heavy damage. This happens at random, and I see locust swarming around to everything on the immediate screen, take heavy damage then stop till I reapply once again. Has anyone else noticed this as of late? It's making it rather difficult to push higher rifts when things aren't taking the damage they should be. I used to run in pre-haunting monsters then get up close with a locust to the face. Then I tried locust first then haunts to firebats still happens. I just cannot pinpoint when it happens you you know when it happens.Vortechtral3 4d

5d Pets should attack what you click Or have a manual command to force all pets to attack where your mouse cursor is. Some people may dislike this, because they feel that the current petdoctor requires skill to compensate for poor AI( Running off screen to reset attack+position of pets as an example) but by allowing players to have more control over pet attacks could also require skill to use, the difference between a good doctor and a bad doctor rigth now is a matter of how they know how to reset pets and group enemies. Later on it could be how well a person can control their character and pets, positioning and point of attack could matter and be 'skill' in that sense also. It seems only logical to be able to control your pets, you can already summon them. and it's 2016 now people can't say they don't have the ability to implement a control mechanic, they could do this in the 90s.Breezybombs13 5d
6d Blood Shard buys? I am back in the game new from a long time. I am having fun with my zuni+garg set in the high 40s Grifts but I don't know what to spend the blood shards on. I knew I had to get a zuni helm or jerams so I could have the set and cube the tasker gloves or jeram I ended up getting the zuni helm so that's solved. Issue now is, I have the fetish syc passive, but I guess people are using a leg belt to generate fetishes and that does seem like a big upgrade to free that passive, but I also don't have a furnace... never got one, but also don't have a sacred harvester but do currently have one cubed because I got an awful one... I do have a decent weapon but it's not really useful for build just the stats. So what is most important, Roll for Belt, 2 hander, 1 hander but in what order? I am thinking belt for passive change, then 2 hander for furnace, then 1 hander for a usable harvester... Then can equip the harvester and cube the furnace Or is the furnace a much bigger difference so much so the belt should be last? Thanks for any input. EDIT just realized or figured out you can just reroll your legendaries but luckily I got another soul harvester last night. So it's just a matter of the furnace and the belt and ever getting a good reroll on the soul harvesterRy51 6d

Feb 11 Element Type for Deadly Rebirth? Hi, I have a rather specific question, if anyone knows the answer. Does the Rain of Corpses rune for Grasp of the Dead, when used with the Deadly Rebirth dagger, do physical damage or, if using the cold rune Unbreakable Grasp, do the corpses do cold damage? It seems like for an LoN Grasp of the Dead gear loadout, you want to use the cold rune to be able to spam Grasp, but prioritize physical% damage, as the corpses do large physical damage + AE damage? Or do the corpses do cold damage, as I'm using Unbreakable Grasp rune? Do you see what I am asking here? It's kind of important to know... I'm trying to figure out which element to prioritize on my gear, so if anyone can definitively help, thanks! Edit: No responses yet...I guess in simpler terms, when I use deadly rebirth it gives the falling corpses rune. And I use unbreakable grasp for my chosen rune. Feb 11 LoN issue Hey guys currently playing a seasonal WD and have had my Litany and wailing host drop for me so i went about to collect ancient pieces to incorporate with the 2 set bonus. My understanding of this set bonus is for EVERY non set item ancient legendary that you have equipped while these rings are the only set item in use u gain a 100% dmg increase per item and a 4% dmg reduction per item now as my rings are not ancient yet but every other piece of my gear is ( 11 items ) the math should work out to be an 1100% dmg increase and a 44% dmg reduction, am i correct?? If i am correct then the issue i have is i am not seeing these numbers either on paper stats or in combat the only significant change i have seen is with the equipment i have on my toughness has risen to over 100 million from the normal 20+ mil that it sits at but my damage output has not increased accordingly. By example one of my clan mates also has a WD running the JH set he has a feew ancient set items but is not running Litany and Wailing his paper stats are significantly less than mine and he is able to run a lvl 62 greater rift solo yet i am struggling to complete a lvl 50 greater. Can anyone give me any insight on this? is it a bug , am i just a complete noob and have no idea how to play or what. Feb 11 Modify the Vision Quest passive Actually, each class will have tons of garbage passive but i think for near end passive like vision quest, it's totally useless with modern game when WD will never go out of mana and rarely use Primary skill. Feb 10 Lakumba's Ornaments stacks I have always assumed that Lakumba's Ornaments give you max of 60% damage reduction with Sacred Harvester. However the stacks are actually multiplicative with themselves, not additive, and the max damage reduction you can get from the bracers is actually only 46.12%. The other similar item in game is DH's new companion belt Zoey's Secret, which combined with Cloak of the Garwulf for a total of 9 companions gives you 81% damage reduction and the stacks are apparently additive with themselves. Feb 8 Survivability Problems w/Arachyr in GR 75+ I'm having alot of trouble staying alive in higher level Grifts with the typical firebats build seen on leaderboards. I've found that to stay alive I need to swap pain enchancer out for esoteric alteration, dump my paragon points to vitality, and swap CotE for unity. Wich kills my damage and slows me down alot. Gear and stat wise without the dedensive swaps I'm similar to the last 3 pages if leaderboard, ~14k int, 4-5k vit, 60% crit, 350+crit damage, ~90% Area dmg, unbuffed toughness 21m. I'm keeping 10 stack of harvest, using hex on CD, keeping a few haunts and locust applied. Still without the defensive swaps i just crumble in both solo and group. Is there aome aspect of the playstyle I could be overlooking that helps keep you alive?Pankratios17 Feb 8

Looking at the gif for Summon Skeletons in the Necromancer overview blog post (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/20324407) you can see the player has control over what creature the skeletons should attack. My questions is, will this ability to control pets be available only to the Necromancer or will a similar mechanic be introduced for Witch Doctors? Unfortunately I think this mechanic will be limited to the Necro only, based on this excerpt from the blog post (emphasis mine): ... Feb 5 Extended Patch Info: The Barber Alright so this should be the one stop spot for other people to avoid tripping all over themselves. The barber changes how Spirit barrage works, and thus changes how some of the runes work with it. What we are about to do should be blizzard's @#$%ing job to do but hey whatever. eventualy one of them might take notice. Firstly I had to back out of my high torment and dropped it down to T1 just to see if damage was being applied at all. Turns out yes, it is. You cast the spell and after a short delay it explode doing whatever damage it has built up. Confirmed working. Secondly i found that runes behave weird with the ability and it may just be better to have no rune on there. *Premature Detonation - Alright so ANY time your spirit shots hit they are absorbed and start a small timer. if the timer is up before they receive another spirit, they explode, This is an important disntiction because a rune can cause other spirits to fling off onto their own targets causing many early derpy explosions.... 60% weapon damage over 15 units... wooo.. Anyway sarcasim asside, Storing up enough energy into a target to kill them outright causes explosions * Manitou - It applies damage build up to one target but causes a release any time it switches targets, the damage is slow, and unreliable but it frees you up to do litteraly anything else for 30 seconds. Regardless it isnt your primary spell spam * Manitou + Phantasm = Fail - So Phantasm if gained from the mojo, only applies when you first pop phantasm down so there will only be one, not a new one every time it lands a missle (dont ask me why i thought it would work any diffrently) *Phantasm - Eh... so a few weird things here. It will probly explode if it causes something to die, but it explodes for sure when something has been in its reach for a time. The longer something is there the more damage it does, but thats only if you stop casting at one or three, If you cast again to make one go up early, it explodes early, starts a new one. No useful at best, unusable at worst... My guess is if its being spammed we are looking at about 150% damage as the 1 second its alive to do damage, maybe and hopefuly not less, applied to a bubble that is 15 units wide instead of 10... Its extra damage but i only just started playing with the Extra Phantasm thing *Well of Souls - Probly the most important one and likely the saddest story. IF and only IF the extra souls are shooting off and hitting other targets are there premature explosions but only the ones that are extra and not on the same target... if for some reason they keep on the same target it isnt going to explode and will keep building. * The spirit is Willing and/or Phlebotomize - The mana one is hard to test so its really Iceing on the cake, but Phlebotomize appears to be functioning normaly... And by normaly im not entirely sure how it is doing it. point is you get HP when casting and it looked like i was getting HP on Detonation. Voo Juicer is untested but there shouldnt be any reason it wouldnt work (dont have one either) Lastly before i open this up to be a proper discussion, I leave you with my view on this situation and the fact that this test was done on Torment 1 the damage is alright, but it is only alright, it is not amazing and you apear to be unable to do billions of damage if your damage wasnt able to do that anyway so it is INSTANTLY outclassed by things like Jade harvest which pulls damage out of thin air almost and has nearly exponential power surges with the two other items that work with it. Now that said just a cobbleing of items together and having a set that has nothing to do with spirit barrage... the damage was meh. It might do ok with that ancient legendary build and no sets but reallly lets think about it for a moment. 1) Witchdoctors are squishy (and I personaly either dont have the paragon or secret item combo to push past GR50 with Jade harvest) 2)I play hardcore so I go at this with the mindset of 'really dont wanna die and start over' 3) LON is the only set that has a positive effect on the unique effect. At 9/14 items, Torment 8 seams pretty smooth Tip: So far it seams like you need a meatshield to make this weapon work, either another player, or minions. The cheap way to make it work with hardly any ancient gear is to have the 6peice set that gives you fetishes forever... Zumishis(?) haunt. Between the Giants and the fetishes that should be enough minions to keep mobs off you long enough to use the dagger. Tip: a rather average and almost helpful set of ancient legendary gear and LON with 9/14 of my items ancient... At that amount of bad optimisation and ancient legendarys... I got an explosion of about 280M... and it didnt take forever to do so yes LON can make this item work however you still should have a meatshield and push the stats around in your gear so that you can survive long enough to make a dent.Orncaex29 Feb 5

Feb 4 Drop Rates of Sacred Harvester and SMK Did they flip these and make Sacred Harvester the rarer knife? I play Hardcore and lost my main seasonal WD last night who was holding a pretty nice Sacred Harvester knife. It was ancient and 3000+ DPS etc and really really nice. Oh well. I had all these mats so I thought I would use the cube to make another one. Finally after converting like 50 knives I got one Sacred Harvester. I found 4 Smks though 4 Last Breaths and countless manajumas, anazazis, spider queens, renho's etc. I just thought it was weird that I found 4 SMK's before 1 Sacred Harvester. I have also found 4 SMK's off of drops this season but only 2 Sacred Harvesters. So I have found or crafted 8 SMK's but only found or crafted 3 Sacred Harvesters this season. Feb 3 RHEN'HO FLAYER No biggie. Just an observation. I can see that this weapon could possibly be really useful for the Witch Doctor. One part is that for it to be useful, it would need to be more balanced like the Wizard's Arcane Orb and rather than: "can explode twice" it would need to be: "will explode twice" It would likely need either bracers, belt or both, or a new mojo to compliment it in one way or another for it to truly be GR material above 60. Feb 3 Grusome Feast (Jade speed build) Hello! Im enjoying the Witch Doctor this season (S9), but I have two issues with him.. 1. The grusome feast passive is very very hard to maintain. Once I get my 5 stacks and the buff starts to count down, I loose stacks before it has counted half way.. I would expect the buff to count down a full round before it was reduced from 5 to 4 and so on. But this does not seem to be the case.. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a known bug? Or is this by design? 2. My second issue is simply survivability. Im doing ok in 4 man T13 and 60-65 GRs, but I always have massive problems in the start (before getting my 10 soul harvest stacks).. Any tips for improving the survivability in the start? Feb 3 Zuni wish. Hello blizz. I am playing with the Zuni set and think it is ok fun. I like the melee idea where my pets just run arround and attack what ever. I dont want to use poisondarts. So i wish for some way to buff the fetishes melee damage. How that can be done? Make a shoulder item that buff all fetish melee damage 300-500% damage. Atm it is so low. I know you think 23 fetishes is ok damage. But half is attacking mobs that dont have been hit from a spender. Plus 8 sek buff after hit from spender is not long. Feb 3 LoN Sprinter - Speedfarm build T13/mid GRift Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZedsiyUHiw Hey what’s up guys, OraK from clan ZE (EU)! I’m back from a long break after Era3 ending and in the very first days, I realised that I needed something fast to farm cause of the work I had to do, mainly grift keys, some mats and grift to lvl up gems up to 80/85! So I’ve made this LoN Sprinter build which basically has the same concept of a LoN Walker but it is definitely more viable on torment 13 and medium tier grift like 70/75! Atm, for this kind of farming purposes I believe this is the fastest WD build because it relies on a lot of boostes from items and skills. Pay attention to 1 thing, to be the fastest wd build doesn’t mean it is the fastest between all classes, cause we can’t manage trashmobs like other classes, we must focus on elites only or we would end finishing 2-3 screens away in case you are in a party. Anyway my medium average clear time for a torment13 or gr70 is about 3mins which is good considering my low paragon and no augmented gear. So this being said, this LoN Sprinter is for players who mainly play WD and had time to gear up all the ancient pieces. This “gear up” part is the most hard one, cause it will take some time and seasonal players may have some troubles at the beginning. Let’s make a backstep, as i said before, there are already some speedfarm builds for WD, the most known are LoN Walker, which is based on Locust Swarm + Gargs, then there is HT Gargs + Angry Chicken. Honestly, I don’t like the first one since blizz increased torments level. The HT Gargs in stead is the one that I use for bounties cause there are way less elites to proc the core item of every LoN speed build which is In-Geom, while the chicken is the right compromise to perform well for that kind of purpose. About the chicken, it has been excluded from this build for 2 main reasons, first of all cause manajuma set can’t be used with Legacy of Nightmare set and secondly because chicken form doesn’t allow us to cast other skills without interrupting our run and moreover it exposes us to dmg. LoN Sprinter, instead, it is all about refreshing our speed boostes without considering toughness thanks to perma Spirit Walk. Once you proc in-geom you will be refreshing your SW, Horrify and Soul Harvest over and over while haunting for the next elite pack and you only need to pay attention for 1 second when Spirit Walk gets ready again (for people new to the class you may have not noticed an internal cooldown between every SW cast) Now let's focus on the other stuff, like skills gems and items.. Another useful skill is Piranhado which is very good to help Gargs in the their job. Piranhado is also very important to avoid a weird bug affecting our pets, infact they don't attack enemies if pets are not provoked which means you don't have to engage a pack with Horrify, but you need to cast Piranhado first. In case you notice Gargs not attacking your enemy then just cast Piranhado to interrupt the CC. So remember, once you have seen your next elite, stop for a moment in Piranhado range and cast it, then go in (see the video). To make your gameplay easier, especially during long session of farming, i suggest you to help yourself with minor macro to refresh what you prefer, absolutely don't use programs like AutoHot Key which will cost you a ban. Now let's talk about the dmg boost. As shown in the video, LoN bonus is pretty much enough for t13, but anyway there are multiple way to increase your power through items, skills and gems. In a pet build you are obviously going to use a Mask of Jeram and Taskers and Theo. Your MoJ doesn't need to be capped at 100%, you only need it as ancient version, because the bonus granted by LoN is higher than the one given by the mask, especially considering that the Mask bonus goes into Elemental dmg calculation so it's not as shown on item description but is lower. Other items are Hexing Pants of Mr. Yang and the Harrington Waistguard for normal rift only. Other buffs will come from your active and passive skills which are Confidence Ritual, Gruesome Feast, Midnight Feast, Sacrifice, Soul Harvest and Piranhas ofc. Your gems will be the Enforcer, Bane of the Trapped which is self procced by Gargs also and Bane of the Powerful. Im my video my gems are about lvl 100, don't worry, the moment you collected all the ancient gear, i'm pretty sure you are already farming your gems to 100 or more with another set, every LoN build takes some time to gear up especially if you are on Season as said before! Another cool gem is the Boon of the Hoarder in case you want more and more speed. The belt is the Krelm's one, that will be always up thanks to our perma spirit walk. The bracers are the Nemesis to spawn elites and proc our In-geom, and also because you are probably going to be the fastest in your group and you don't want to lose time waiting for them. On the shoulders slot we use Homing Pads to come back to town quickly, you can use something different when farming speed grift because nobody will ever interrupt your recall.The chest is the Aquila Cuirass which is very good at the beginning of the game when you ain't procced your perma severance yet. The mojo is the Homunculus so we can Sacrifice (Provoke the pack) our dogs and gain dps, but keep in mind to do not sacrifice them while standing or you will incur in Hexing pants malus! You have to stutter step, so 1 step 1 sacrifice and so on... In the cube we obviously gonna put the gargs ring and a sacred harvester to increase our benefit from Soul harvest (armor or more movement speed). For the armor slot you have 2 possible choices, during normal rift i run Harrington Waistguard and in grift i use Lakumba's bracers. Ok guys, that's it. I know this is build is not that easy to gear up as said before, don't forget that every single item have to be ancient, your rings included. They do *almost* 100% of the WD damage. This includes buffs (PtV, BBV, GF) and debuffs (MC, Piranhas), +% elite, +% elemental. One exception: +% skill does not transfer to the mimics (so don't bother with the likes of +% Spiders) Damage is calculated based on minimum weapon damage number. For example: A Knife+Mojo combo has a damage range of 1556-2248 The mimics will always use 1556. WD average weapon damage: (1556-2249)/2 = 1902 Mimics weapon damage: 1556 In this case, the mimics do on average about 82% of the WD damage. To maximize mimics damage - look for high minimum damage on both weapon and mojo. Q: What's the deal with DoTs? The Grin Reaper Mimics do not have any of the hard caps on the WD dot's. This means you can have as many Spider Queens, Lob Blobs, Pyrogists, and Phantasm as the Mimics can cast. Exception: each mimic will only have one Manitou and it will go away when the mimic goes away.
