Aug 8, 2012 Lagspikes from 50 ms > 800-900 When playing, and i know this is a common problem for many people. Even as MAC user and PC user. When playing and fighting against mobs or even just standing around there appear lagspikes, all the time. It varies from 50-400+ and up to 11-1200. Since i started to play Diablo III the game was flawless running smooth at _ALL_ times, there wasnt a issue about lagspikes, never (maybe when joining a game at most) I got a good computer, and a very good stable ethernet connection with cable. I got Telias net here in sweden, and as far as i know its Telia hosting your servers if im not wrong. Anyhow, i would like to KNOW if you have found out the real problem in the patching, because this started after like patch 1.02b or something, dont remember wich it was, and was hoping after each mainteance it will be fixed. But it havent, im very tired that you create a amazing game wich runs smoothly, then make a change from a patch wich totally !@#$s up maybe 5% maybe that got this issue, i dont know. My computer stats dont really matter in this issue, i just want someone to clarify if this will happen soon or when it will be fixed, hotfixed or whatever. I seen many post about this and im demanding a answer. Im looking forward to play again, the most i can do is so sit by the AH and roll my thumbs, because i dont want to play when i die on every pack because of the spikes. They vary from 10 seconds to 1 minute and sometimes even lagging out(error 3007) and loosing all NV stacks wich aint so fun either. Best regards BluzzeBluzze1 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Audio output device selection please Hey Blizzard, I really like my audio and have multiple audio devices connected to my PC and I use them all for different things. One of my biggest pet peeves from video game developers is when they neglect to add the ability to select audio output device in options, as it's very frustrating to me to have to swap window's default audio every time I start an application without proper audio device options. Could you please add an audio output device option in the audio menu?Bayya9 Aug 8, 2012

Aug 8, 2012 Strange Graphical Glitch! Please help! The glitch starts as soon as the sign-in screen. The crows in the background are see through in parts, and the news section is just a bunch of golden lines and dots (the color of the font). Then, when I get into the game, there are triangular patches of see through areas all over the ground. Like with the crows, parts of myself, and all NPCs and enemies also have these see-through spots. Then, inside buildings, things will be stretched out, and the objects will block my view and I cannot see inside the buildings. This is so frustrating, please, someone help me.BawlzOfGlory10 Aug 8, 2012

Aug 8, 2012 NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB decent enough? Sorry if this has been answered already. My Macbook Pro runs on a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, and being a laptop, upgrades aren't an option (I'm told). What settings would I be able to run D3 at? I can comfortably run SC2 on Medium and WoW on customized High, so I imagine I'd be able to run D3 at at least Medium, or something comparable. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.Aemonn15 Aug 8, 2012

Aug 8, 2012 Suddenly black screen every few seconds Ok so I have played Diablo since launch and have never ever had any technical problems whatsoever in approximately 200 hrs. I haven't played the game in the last 2 weeks. Today I logged in for the first time and after playing for half an hour I had to give up. The game sort of freezes with a black screen every 10-30 seconds most of the time lasting 1-5 seconds, the sound continues to work but there is no picture. When I alt-tab during that, the game completely freezes and I have to force close the game. My CPU and GPU temperatures are not abnormally high(I have liquid cooling and an aircon), this happens right after bootup as well. My PC works flawless for anything else. I have the latest beta drivers for my Geforce 560TI. I have adjusted graphics settings(full screen mode etc., frame rate), nothing helped. And like I said, on this very setup was able to play the game for 200 hrs without a single problem. The only thing that is different since before problems started is that I had to install the latest Diablo 3 Patch before I started playing today so I have to assume it must be related to the patch. Here is my dxdiag file. Aug 8, 2012 GPU extremely hot, anyway to limit GPU load? While monitoring GPU temps I notice D3 makes my GPU run on around 90-95C. This is not very comforting to me. I also realize that D3 makes my GPU load often near 99%. Now the weird thing is, performance feels similar when I change settings from 1900x1080 to 1440x720 to 1330x880, FPS remains okay even playing on 1900x1080, but GPU temps and gpu load are always same at the extreme high levels. I tried downclocking the GPU from 900mhz to the min that nvidia inspector lets me to 775mhz and I still get similiar GPU loads and temps. I notice that if sometimes the GPU will stay cooler at various intervals when GPU load decides to stay around 50-80%. So I figured if I were to somehow cap the GPU load to around 70% while playing D3 it can keep my thermals to a safer level without it often spiking up in temps. I dont care if I get seldom FPS spikes or play with crappy resolutions. I just dont want my computer dying within a few months. Anyone have any suggestions? My setup is actually the base line macbook retina, nvidia gt650m 2.3 quad core. Running on bootcamp windows 7 64bt while playing D3. I know its not optimum to play on a laptop but really dont want to get a PC just to game =/.Linsanity7 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Stuck on Updating Blizzard Launcher at 0% When I opened Diablo this evening, it began patching. It then restarted and came up with only an option to install it. When I clicked install it gave me an error. When I closed it and reopened it I got stock on Updating Blizzard Launcher at 0%. Any ideas?Karterius4 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 [Possible] Compromised, want to Confirm I gave the comp to my dad to check emails and such, may or may not with D3 logged in. He is not a gamer or anything so he wouldn't touch the D3 in any way even if it's on. Next day, I got both of my barbs (softcore and hardcore) deleted and a SC witch doctor too. Still have both my monks, 2 DH, and a HC 60 wiz perfectly intact(DH is the most geared) None of my other gears or gold are lost. 1. What could have happened in this scenario? If it's a hacker i'd touch the gold instead of the characters for sure. 2. Is there a way to find out if the 3 characters are deleted at the same time? If so, could i find out how long ago were they deleted? The comp was left turned on for a bit, so there might be chances that my dad was browsing dangerous website while D3 is on Thanks BlueMelonade1 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Can't see my character profiles I can't see my character profiles. I always get redirected to US if I clicked D3 or character profiles even if I login in sea.battle.net. Changing the us url to sea doesn't work either. The devs don't include a direct menu/link to access character profiles, you're always redirected to US forums or US D3.Obz3 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 I Need RMAH Help - Setting Up Paypal Hey guys, I'm trying to set up RMAH usage, more specifically, depositing into Paypal. Do I HAVE to use a new credit card/debit card with Paypal? When D3 redirects me, it says I have to add a new CC/DC, but I just added my debit card to my Paypal account last friday. I have a TD Canada Trust debit card, and when I try to input my account numbers it says it doesn't recognize the card (even though Paypal has confirmed usage of my card), so what other options do I have? Do I have to use a credit card to receive money on the RMAH?TerrorisT6131 Aug 8, 2012

Aug 8, 2012 Can i "install" the game offline? I bought the hard copy of diablo 3 and i finally passed the "updating setup files" part and now it opened the installer. I have dial-up btw and i am stuck at 1% while installing the game, probably because my internet is damn slow. Do i need to be connected to the internet while installing the game, and why is it taking so long. Am i downloading the game while installing? need help please, thanks.Andrew19 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Diablo key no longer on Battlenet account My younger brother had diablo key attached to his battle.net account but now it is not. When he opens his account on bnet it shows the option to purchase diablo 3 and does not show that he owns a copy. He had purchased a digital copy about two weeks after the game released. Any suggestions to fix this? I really hope none of his character data is gone.DCLXVI7 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Auction House loss of item with error 3007 Currently won two bids on items in the auction house. Worthy Buckle which I spent 157,500 gold and sorcerous snare for some cheap amount. When I sent them to my stash the snare showed up the buckle did not. The only thing I can think of was during this whole process I got kicked from game probably 3 times within 10 minutes with error 3007, and something glitched in the process. Is there anything I can do to get the item back?Eragon0 Aug 8, 2012
Aug 8, 2012 Connection issues - Latency (Info included) Dear Technical Support representative, For a while now I've been suffering in-game lag or latency. The game flows perfectly and my MS meter is in the green around 130 until the game suddenly freezes everything except my character. A few seconds later my character will rollback to wherever it first froze, and I am usually dead from monsters hitting me during this period of time. My MS meter will hit the red and go up to 800+ MS immediately after I get "rollbacked" to where I was originally frozen. The game is basically unplayable due to this lag, which happens during all hours of the day. Furthermore, the problem is not limited only to me EU gaming. No matter if I play on EU or US servers, I suffer the same exact latency problem. Diablo 3 is the only program on my computer that suffers from this latency issue. I have tabbed into other programs the same second that Diablo froze just to check on them, and they work perfectly while Diablo is suffering heavy latency. Please note that I play mainly on EU servers, but I play from the US. I have followed all troubleshooting steps I can find, including power cycling my modem, disabling any and all programs, antivirus, ad aware, firewalls, etc that I run. I have tried bypassing my router to go straight to my modem (and yes, I do use an Ethernet cable at all times when playing). I have installed both EU and US clients to see if the problem lies there, but alas it does not. My firmware and drivers are all up to date as well. Finally, my ISP seems convinced that the problem is not on my end. Following is my ISP/modem/router information as well as speed test, ping tests, and tracerts to both EU and US servers. Aug 7, 2012 Graphics corruption? Diablo 3 runs fine for the most part on my computer. But every so often it will freeze up for upwards of 10 seconds. When it unfreezes the graphics are corrupted, most of the time to the point that I can't see what I'm doing. The most common corruption is the screen going black with random splotches of grey here and there. Sometimes I see bits of text in various fonts scattered over the screen. If I minimize the game and bring it back up it goes back to normal. Still, its irritating and has got my character killed once already. I tried changing some of the video settings. Turned off shadows and changed some other settings from High to Low. But I'd rather not run it on minimal settings. If I wanted a low graphics dungeon crawler game I'd just keep playing Diablo II. Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue and how I might fix it? Here are my system specs: Windows XP Service Pack 3 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz CPU Speed: 2.7 GHz RAM: 2.1 GB GeForce 9800 GT video card: Pixel shader 4.0, Vertex shader 4.0, Dedicated video ram: 1.0 GB Still have 400 GBs of hard drive space left after installationNarobi4 Aug 7, 2012

Aug 7, 2012 Please Update us on performance issues fix I am trying with all my will to stay positive and polite reguarding the terrible state of this game. I want this game to succeed and rise out of the ashes of performance hell. There are hundereds of well documented threads concerning these performance issues that D3 suffers from and little to no blue feedback reguarding such flaws. I, and the rest of the community, would sincerely appreciate an update as to what is being addressed specifically to combat these problems. specifically... -Stutterlag -Camera skipping -Rubberbanding -Client crashes -Random latency spikes -New game entry lag/freezes Let me be clear, I am not delusional and I do not feel a sense of entitlement reguarding the state of these fixes. However, as a long time loyal, paying customer of all things Blizzard, I feel that an explanation/update is long overdue. Why the vague, ignore mode, damage reduction strategy? If you update the masses with honest, up-to-date information it will mitigate the speculative trolling that these forums are riddled with. If you give us some hope and confidence that "you got this issue" then you will retain MORE core gamers that are quitting in groves! Your lack of communication is hurting your company two fold...reputation-wise and monetarily. I sincerely hope that Blizzard can clear this air of angst with some transparency, honesty and even sincere apology as needed! We want this game and company to SUCCEED not fail--contrary to popular opinions of late! Please help us help you! Open the lines of communication. Update dev blogs. Update social media outlets. Stop deleting/locking relevant threads that question these issues. Lets work together for once and make this game great! Thanks in advance!Technoviking14 Aug 7, 2012

Aug 7, 2012 Unexpected Error I just tried to download D3 after some friends got me interested and it's not letting me. After I Agree to the terms, it tells me if I want to activate it so I say I already have then it pops up "An Unexpected error occured while trying to install. Please try again or contact Customer Support". And I've looked at other forums and I still cant figure out what to do. -_-''Midnightmoon9 Aug 7, 2012

Aug 7, 2012 Video Driver Resets At Least Once Every time i launch D3, I will at some point within the first 5 minutes (no matter if i am in the menu screen, the AH, or in a game) freeze, go black, then come back. My video driver will quit and reset which is why the game freezes, goes black, and comes back. Lately though, since the last patch, Alienwares Thermal Controller will also crash. Is this a known issue or is it just me?briarben0 Aug 7, 2012

Aug 7, 2012 Computer Shutdowns Related to GPU Clock Speed I've been having an issue lately where during extended gameplay, I would suffer from an unusual shutdown error. I'm assuming it's a BSOD minus the actual screen, but it is indeed odd. It happens quickly, too. No scan lines or other signs of an error, just an immediate shutdown, followed by a brief pause before my computer restarts. I had assumed that it was due to GPU overheating, but seeing as all of these crashes have occurred within the temperature ranges of 45 degrees and 61 degrees centigrade, I don't think this is the case. I run a very large laptop with a GeForce GTX 460M with the 301.42 nVidia drivers and an Intel Core i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz. Typically speaking, I keep the clock speeds at their defaults (1250MHz Memory and 1350MHz Shaders, running at about 9 volts during gameplay) and the crashes could occur any time between 1 and 8 hours of gameplay. When I underclock to about 1000MHz each, load times are abysmal, and some games (like Skyrim) refuse to load at all. Diablo 3 seems to work fine in terms of framerate, but gets a little shaky when rendering large packs of enemies, even with the settings lowered. Also note that these crashes are not exclusive to Diablo 3, but it happens to be one of the more frequently crashing games. Crashes only occur on the highest GPU performance level. Help would be greatly appreciated.TheIronSky0 Aug 7, 2012

Aug 7, 2012 Input Limit Reached : no games created. Hi, I was sitting on the 'Change Quest' screen looking at the number of people on each quest. I'm level 60 in inferno, so there's quite a range of quests available to check. I got the famous 'input limit reached' message and got disconnected. I had not created a single game today. I clicked maybe 10-12 different quests, looking at each one for maybe a second or two. Don't know if that helps. screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/TIBdU.jpgEpicFail2 Aug 7, 2012
Aug 7, 2012 Input Limit Reached After 1 game I keep getting input limit reached. I know blizzard implemented this to stop botters but I am getting it after 1 game. I bought something on AH, sent to stash, logged into game put item on, logged out and put old item on AH. Tried to join a game and got input limit reached. Is it really locked down to 1 game per logon at this point.Myrane1 Aug 7, 2012
Aug 7, 2012 entire Game Locked up I was playing my witch doctor last night, exploring an area in act 2. 1015CST PM. the entire game just froze. i could move the curser around, and there was the music coming through, but the screen and everything else was frozen. I had to use task manager to kill the process. 1st time that happened to me. I've had rubber banding happen last night also 3 times. 3 weeks ago I found a flying monster that would appear/disappear invincible. Overall a great game imo.drmikepooh0 Aug 7, 2012
