Jun 17, 2012 Ati radeon hd 2600, all sorts of problems I am having no problem loading the game no issues with the cut scenes they are actually perfect to be honest, all of the menus and tabs work fine, even my character hub in game works fine, but the characters in the menu are missing chunks,(looks like they have holes in them) their skins are skewing and stretching in weird shapes, like the monks look as if they have shark fins on their arms, the wizards look like the cupcake paper folded in half then pasted several times, and when I get in game my character and my ally are White like they are missing their skins. the back ground/field I am in is visible expect a few lil white lines, but as soon as I move the white blotches and spreads and only parts and bits of everythings pixels show up. I have sent a report with my specs MSinfo32 file and my DXDiag file, but I wanted to create this post and let people with the same issue know if theirs any changes, or if I get an answer/solution I can tell them. I do have another pc that I can use to play the game, but I was planning on giving this pc to my friend so he could play as well. Thank you in advance, and I hope to all who have similar problems, we can get it fixed and enjoy this game ^,^Ziar21 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 My experience installing D3... First off I'd like to say my firewall is online armor, and my AV is avast.... Figured I'd post this hoping that anet does something about agent.exe... odd thing was I was able to download all of the files without a problem.. it's just when the installation took place that the problems started occurring. I'm not sure if it's a glitch with having the wow beta installed or half downloaded, and trying to install this game, but I currently have about 8 gigs left of the wow beta left to install... I'm currently running WinXP SP3 so my bnet folder is c:\documents and settings\all users\application data I've deleted the battle.net folder numerous times all leading to the same thing... the same thing would be, whenever I would run the installer and it would hit to the point where it wants to download files ~68%, Agent.exe would start up.... This took the troubleshooting as agent would suck up 100% cpu and cause my system to hang ... took alot of reboots and watching task manager to figure this out. So I read the support threads, and tried some of the.... advice. What eventually worked was starting the comp in safe mode, and finishing the install from there... I'm not sure if this is something unique to me but I have all 3 installed of the main blizzard products at this time, wow, wow beta, and d3... Just something for the admins at bnet to think about... don't force p2p on us.. if you want to patch have your servers ready....Memnoch1 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 "C:\Program Files (x86) Diablo III\Udates\d3- The error msg I get is: ERROR: The file "C:\Program Files (x86) Diablo III\Udates\d3-0-9991-Win-final.MPQ" appears to be corrupt. You may need to download this file again. This file doesn't appear in the location listed, nor, indeed any location in my D3 files. There are no directions as to how or where to instal it from. The game will not play, or even load. I am very disappointed. The product is disappointing on a lot of levels from meta-gaming (absolutely linear quest structure, ridiculous levels of difficulty starting as early as second boss mob etc).Furious3 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Weird problem, d3 is causing pc to freeze This started just a day or two ago, at first I thought it was only with Diablo 3 (have checked and it definitely ONLY happens when I am playing Diablo though) but it seems to be my entire computer. The game will freeze for a few seconds (sometimes up to a minute, or longer) and it happens when in combat, out of combat, casting, running, or whatever. It seems to happen more frequently when something is happening in the game (IE: casting a spell, player or mob speaks -- havent checked cutscenes) and when I alt tab my computer begins to have the same spikes. Sometimes the mouse freezes, sometimes it does not. A few times I had to manually shut off my computer because the freeze would not go away. I have 8gb of ram, running win7 64bit, intel i5 3.2ghz, radeon hd 6670, using nod32 AV nooo clue what is making this happen and it only started happening a day or so ago. not very long at all. all drivers are up to date, i have tried turning the video settings on the lowest setting. of course restarted pc a few times. after awhile it will stop doing it and it won't continue to do it for a long time. it's happening right now and it was 24 hours ago the last time it happened. odd it seems last night it was around the same time that it happened. anyone else having these issues or know what could be causing them? no other games cause this (i play MW3/BF3/SC2/kingdoms of amalur reckoning/league of legends) except diablo.Heretic0 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Upgraded To CE and Want My Standard Ed. Key I upgraded to the collector's edition of D3 and I was told by others that I'd be able to message blizzard and get the standard edition product key returned to me. Jun 17, 2012 Server deficiencies will hurt you later. Dear Blizzard, Please stop being complete cheapskates and purchase high quality servers. Your completely dishonest claim of making the game online only to make it a "better experience" was something I consciously overlooked because I was aware your company became a lot more profit focused after the merger with Activision, but I didn't care as long as the games were still great. That said, when you have become such complete cheapskates that your game runs like crap on high end systems due to the deficincies of your paper-clip and bubblegum servers, it makes an extremely bad impression on your paying customers and long-time fans. If the servers remain as is then I cannot see myself purchasing anymore Blizzard games in the future. Some may think I'm full of crap, but when the games lag so badly it's barely playable, when rubber banding is so rampant hardcore is a joke, and when the consumer is treated like a pinata full of money that Blizzard beats with a stick, the experience is no longer enjoyable. If you are going to make a game online only, please make sure you have the necessary equipment to support it. I am a long time fan, and it pains more than just my gameplay experience to watch such a once great company slowly begin to slip into mediocrity. Sincerely, AnonymAnonym0 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Can't play all the sudden? Okay I've played enough to beat normal with no problems whats so ever. Now since I hit Nightmare I can't play more than 5-10mins then I freeze and d/c. I have no idea why this is happening since normal mode had no problems like this. I know its not my actual internet since all other games work fine and I don't d/c. I would really like to continue playing but this is forcing me to stay put. Anyone else with this problem?Kallaway0 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Corrupt Files While Trying to Install Diablo So I've been trying to install the game for awhile now. Doing this through the battle.net site on my account by downloading the game client. I'm able to download that, and I now have Diablo-III-Setup-enUS in my downloads folder. I run that, it checks for updates, then it opens up the download. However, a few seconds later it pops up with an error saying "ERROT: The file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\DiabloIII\Updates\d3-0-9991-Win-final.MPQ' appears to be corrupt. You may need to download this file again". So I delete the client I had in my downloads, and try again, to no avail. I have down a lot of searching and found some solutions that all appear to be about the same. However, they all involve some sort of Diablo III files, but I don't have any files for Diablo at all. Any help?Rancor1 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Weird graphics issues on a laptop I have the following going on when I try to play the game on my laptop: http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx36/ophidia/Screenshot000.jpg I've updated the drivers to 12.4, installed the hotfix, and the same results. The graphics card is an ATI Mobility 2600. I haven't tried playing on it before, but the card isn't on the unsupported list, so it seems odd that it's all jacked up like that. Thanks for any ideas! Jun 17, 2012 Failed to read a required file. Once again I havent been able to play diablo 3 for over 12 hours, and once again, its after a patch. Launcher "patched", clicked play, went away, wont open anymore. Restarted PC, tried launching again, nothing, waited a while and tried launching and it gets stuck "Updating tools 0%" Restarted PC, tried launching again, starts at "Initializing 0%" then an error comes up -> "Failed to read a required file". The fact that this seems to be happening ALL THE TIME makes me think this will have to be my last blizzard game for sure. Im afraid to restart my PC again cause everytime i do i get a new problem with this game, next time i'll probably loose all my D3 data or something. Can we get a FIX please. This has been a full day of nothing working, some results or feedback would be AWESOMEPooter36 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Radeon 4890 FPS Problems Greetings, I have recently started to experience severe frame rate problems while in game. Around May 30 is when the problem first started, right after patch 1.02 was deployed. Right after the game launched I was consistently maintaining a stable frame rate of 95 to 100. However, as of right now my frame rate just constantly, and I mean constantly, bounces around from 1 to 200 nonstop. It is impossible to play the game when it is this choppy. I have tried changing all of the settings in game to the lowest possible, and the problem still persists. I have tried updating my video drivers, creating a profile with Radeon Pro, setting the game to run on one processor core, and pretty much every other possible fix I have seen on these forums. Nothing has helped. My relevant system specs are below: AMD Phenom 2 X3 720 Radeon HD 4890 6 GB DDR3 RamAneren14 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Any chance to disable water effects? my computer is only a month old, anywhere with water i am lagged massively, mobs just appear next to me and i definately cannot progress in watery areas in inferno mode, is there any way to shut off or remove water affects so i can actually play inferno without dying so often. also before i get trolled i did ask for someone to invite me into act 3 to skip act 2 entirely only to be ignored, so if i cant pass act 2 on my own im pretty much stuck. there are quite a lot of trolling jerks in general chat.Lotherein31 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Hero List Carry Over? I did not find an existing thread that covers this so forgive me if this is a repost. Anyway, here's the problem: I originally installed (and mainly play) D3 on my iMac. Recently I tried installing on my terribly old pc laptop with success. The start up screen loaded and everything! However, none of my characters were brought over from my account. My friend has been using my iMac and his pc laptop to play without any issues. So I'm wondering if there's some setting I have to set in my account or am I just doing something wrong?misterpond2 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Nvidia Geforce GT 240 Don't know why but my fps is extremely low when I maximize D3 after having left it minimized for 30 mins or an hour. It's so low everything freezes and starts to skip like it's choppy. It only does this for the first few minutes and they everything goes back to normal. How can I stop this from happening? Thank you for any help. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/16/2012, 12:07:04 Machine name: ERM Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120503-2030) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: p6710f BIOS: BIOS Date: 01/18/11 07:40:53 Ver: 6.05 Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4096MB RAM Page File: 3841MB used, 4347MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 64bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ Display Tab 1: No problems found. Jun 17, 2012 Severe lag with strange behavior I'm playing from Asia so I always have 200 ping or so, no big deal. But recently I've been randomly getting severe lag. Once this lag kicks in it will persist until I leave the game, after which it will be completely gone, until it randomly kicks in again. This completely ruins games and is incredibly frustrating, so does anyone have any idea what might cause this kind of latency issue with this specific strange set of behavior?Biske0 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 How I fixed my graphics issues I had been seeing issues in D3 very similar to what many other people are seeing: crazy changes in framerate disproportionate with on-screen activity and gpu/cpu load (I have a AMD Phenom Quad-core processor, Radeon 6870, 8 gb ram, non-SSD HD, Windows 7 system). My CPU and GPU were never taxed over 50%, and my core temps were always in the 60's when I saw fps slowdown. I felt that the game had previously run fine as I made my way through Act 1 and 2 during the first couple weeks of release, and thought that it might have deteriorated with patch release, as other people seemed to be having those issues. I did leave in the back of my head the option that spell effects and mob numbers were increasing heavily in the later part of the game and my performance drops were due to this, but with new characters in Act 1 I still saw poor performance. There is one other small detail that I did not play into the equation though. My computer, while running other games flawlessly, did see momentary "hiccups" in all graphics and audio playback, whether playing a game, or listening to music. Basically whatever I was doing would go from flawless, to standstill, for a half-second or so, then immediately back to flawless. Really a minor inconvenience, and very different from the overall Diablo 3 issue, though I did see the "hiccups" there as well. After researching the issue, I found the culprit: McAfee. I had always known that anti-virus programs are huge resource hogs, and that McAfee was worse than most, but I had a free license, and a pretty solid system, so I figured any resource hogging could be compensated for with extra RAM, a multiprocessor system good at multi-tasking, etc. Not so. It seems that McAfee is worse than I thought, and was causing not only my "hiccups" but also a great deal of the fps issues in D3. On a side note, I have also found that controlling the graphics settings in D3 through the Catalyst Control Center also gives me a much more steady performance (and cleaner AA to boot), though from what I've read other people had the exact opposite experience, so take that with a grain of salt. So, if you, like me, underestimated the Evil that is McAfee... no more. Uninstall pronto.Quethas0 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Just Another Lag/Stutter Complaint. Ever since Diablo 3 was in beta, I was running this game just fine. Even when the complete game was released, I was still running this game fine, and I really enjoy playing it. Ever since this patch, I can't play anymore. The stuttering begins when fighting starts. It starts with just stuttering and drops down to 10 -15 FPS. After about 15 seconds of this, lag kicks in and everything stops moving. I then either wait about 1 minute for everything to finally catch back up, (My character being dead of course.) and try to play a little more, or I wait 1 minute for the connection to drop. Blizzard Staff, please tell us something. Even if you don't have any idea what the problem is, tell us that you're at least looking into the problem. You may very well be trying to find a fix. You may even have it figured out, but none of your community know. I really enjoy this game and I want to continue being a satisfied customer, but only until this problem is resolved.Heimdall1 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 RMAH and my Paypal aren't mixing Just to get it out of the way: -I currently have an authenticator attached to my account. -I have a working Paypal account set up and connected to my battle.net account and set as my primary payment method. -I have the SMS Protect service signed up on my current phone and working. That being said, I still can't get the RMAH to allow me to list items with paypal as a destination. I get the error saying I haven't set up paypal yet (even though I have). I set it up specifically to work with RMAH I'm pretty sure......when I follow the link from Lylirra's post at http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5794789439 I just end up getting a page to add an additional (non-paypal) payment option. Just for kicks, I did add another credit card, but it didn't effect paypal and just got added as an additional credit card payment option. What can I do to rectify this? I just put my current auctions to battlenet balance to pay for wow sub, but if I got a big ticket item, I would run into the limit and not be able to sell anything elseGulruon10 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Blizzard charged me $ despite error messages Just a warning to those who intend to purchase funds for the RMAH. Today I experimented purchasing funds and was processed with the following error: An error has occurred. To complete this transaction, please contact Blizzard Customer Support. Alternatively, you may select another form of payment. Naturally, I attempted several times to troubleshoot the problem. Minutes later, my bank informed me via SMS that funds had been taken out from my debit account, totaling more than $1000+. Obviously, as a result of these purchases. Also, despite the deductions, Blizzard has not reimbursed me with any goods. Essentially, this operates as a scam. I am furious and disappointed. Should my debit account have problems processing GIRO payments, I intend to seek legal advice. At this moment, I am awaiting a reply from Blizzard. Has anyone faced the following problem and resolved it?Leonardo0 Jun 17, 2012
Jun 17, 2012 Issues with Diablo 3 Hi, i am having some issues with Diablo 3.. I am using the GT 540M Graphics card and my laptop is the toshiba F750.. By right, i am able to run this game with the least of 60fps however, i am unable to do so. When i enter the game, i check my fps using the "display fps" option in the game, my fps is constantly changing from 40-80. The problem comes whenever i encounter a large group of mobs or champions and suddenly, my fps would just drop to 10-20.. i really do not understand why this is happening and i literally tried almost every possible solution to this problem but to no avail... I really hope someone would render their help to me.. My laptop specs CPU i7-2670QM Video GT 540M RAM 8GB OS Window 7 64bitPotterHeads1 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Stuttering gameplay and poor performance. hi, I've had a number of bad problems with performance in D3. I'm getting bad framerate stutters when playing which in some cases are quite bad - at some points its smooth as glass and then it will start again when I move on. I'm playing in 1680x1050 res with all options set to max. I've tried lowering everthing down to low, and limiting the screen rate to 30 but nothing stops seems to stop it. To be clear - I'm not refering to Lag, as in that respect I'm quite lucky with about 155ms. I have the serial number and restore code, just not the eight digit code. Can anyone help?SimplPerfikt3 Jun 17, 2012

Jun 17, 2012 Please Blizzard, can you fix the warping Soon its going to cost us more to repair after death, so if your going to make it harder on us could you please fix the issue of warping or rubber banding. I have died so many times now to a champion pack because as I am whirlwinding, dashing or leaping from the multitude of death for melee traps on the ground, your server cant keep up with the position change and springs me back into the crap and suddenly I am dead. Speaking of death, its bad enough dealing with the living elites and all the stuff they can drop to kill melee, is it really fair to let them also kill us when they are dead. So many of your mobs explode and if your killing a few its just another thing melee have to try and dodge amongst walling, vortex. I wish I could still kill someone when I was dead. Last thought, have you considered moving the position of your town portal, its easy to click on it instead of your stash when in town.Daakist1 Jun 17, 2012
