Since the rainbow goblin is already fairly rare, I would think that the game should just slowly increase the odds of getting the wings after each rainbow goblin. I'm not sure where they normally spawn but you could also have them spawn more often in places where we are forced to play like in the bounty areas and in regular rifts to increase our chances of getting one.

I'm assuming that the game will be made but its focus will be completely MTX based to the point people will be unwilling to buy it.

Your graph is showing a bit of a bias, since you are showing one long line for upgrading all of your set gear to ancient and getting the regular and ancient versions of all of that gear rather than giving them there own sections. You also now have the ability to get all of that gear in a primal version which I'm guessing would add a lot of grind time to the chart which could actually stretch the time out to the D2 levels. It looks like unless Blizzard breaks free from Activision now and refocuses itself into putting games first, Diablo 4 and most other Blizzard games are now dead. The profit driven focus of most of the major game companies has pretty much reached its peak. The unlimited growth period is over and companies are now just fighting over the same pile of money which will result in the death of most of these companies.

The Twitch audience is driven more by the streamer rather than the game, also some games are more stream friendly than others Diablo and POE are going to draw in most of their viewers at the start of a new season and then the numbers drop off a lot. if LIRIK was playing POE right now it would have another 28,000 viewers and then tomorrow when he switches to another game those viewers are gone, the hope is that a few viewers find the game interesting enough that they give it a try. Ignoring your D2 over D3 bias (there are good and bad parts of both games), you seemed to miss the important part of the article. The new focus of the company is to make games that will generate revenue like Overwatch did when it came out every year without putting any time and money into creating the game and any product that doesn't have a quick turnaround time to market will be under threat of being cancelled. Early game the goblins can often get away from you and escape, also some of them are harder to kill than others. Once you get to a higher level you will have a lot easier time killing them. Hitting them with a power rather than a regular attack seems more likely to close the portal stopping them from escaping.

I'm guessing that the next announcement will be for season 16 in D3 and if that change needs to go the the ptr first then they will just wait until they would have normally made that announcement no rush on their part. If they think they need to say something earlier then I would expect to see another announcement that says pretty much nothing sometime this week or maybe next week, to hold them over until that announcement happens. I'm no longer holding out for any real answer from them anytime soon.
