Would probably take 750 Vit or 10% CDR over 35% CHD. 35% CHD doesn't compare favorably when compared to the value of those stats in other item slots - gloves and rings, for example.Maybe even 7% IAS for easy breakpoints.I think more people would use Chanon Bolter if they had one - it can be tough to get a 2600+ one like mine.

I have one with similar damage(slightly less), but with a perfect taunt roll.It's pretty great, no doubt.

I think it's between the Enchantress and Templar.Both provide some nice CC. The Enchantress has more, while the Templar has heals and a taunt. The Enchantress and Templar can also equip weapons with very useful effects(Thunderfury, Furnace and so on). I really like Templar with Ess of Johan, too.It's a shame Windforce Scoundrel doesn't work with Strongarms.

The Chanon Bolter taunt is far more powerful and reliable than Hellrack's root, at the cost of having to put Spike Traps on your skill bar. The on demand control provides a defensive and offensive boost.You'd have to cut your hatred generator for it from the looks of it, though.

Yeah, oh well.It'd fun if they made another item that actually made spike traps relevant from a DPS angle - till then, though

I love my Chanon Bolter personally, the taunt proc is really strong - but I'm not going to bother telling people it's a really good crossbow after all the unnecessary rage that went on in some threads recently about it.I just don't think the 35% CHD is better than competing mods. The thing that makes Manticore useful is that it's preset, meaning as long as the base damage is good, you can roll the socket to % dmg and use the legendary consumable on it for a solid weapon.It's a convenient weapon, but I wouldn't say the best.
