How the hell are people still making this mistake?

No you aren't forced to do anything. People complaining about the meta aren't doing grift 100+ they are most likely doing around 70-90 in groups where having the strict class setup isn't required. Also I don't know why people are so shocked that the build and class pool is limited. This happens in every game with end/competitive game content
