Barbarian
Do I need more IAS for breakpoint? I have 33% IAS but my EF is only 1.23 APS. I DONT KNOW THESE THINGS PLZ HALP
I meant to say .23 APS EF
omg 5 minutes go by
With a .24 EF, you need 4 slots two 9...two 8. 9/9/8/8.

With a .23 EF, you need at least 9/9/9/8 which is 35% IAS increase

You are off by 2%...

But what do I know about breakpoints.

It'd be much better if they were swapped...j/k. For the sake of Silverfire's blood pressure, don't do it.
LOL. Holy crap...forgot about the axe haha...changes base APS.

I forgot all these crazy !@# combos.

Yo...just use d3rawr and plug your crap in. Should tell you what you need.

I am so far removed from this gearing stuff.

Also if silver is nauseated you know you are doing something wrong lmao.

Theres this sticky thing at the top, and theres some topics within it, one of them is breakpoints, you can use that for references. Ladrus breaks down the efs/amount of IAS needed nicely.

2.00001-2.22222 aps - 6.67 tps
1.41 EF – 2 points of IAS
1.42 EF – 1 point of IAS
1.43 EF – no IAS needed
1.44 EF – no IAS needed
1.45 EF – no IAS needed

2.22223-2.50000 aps - 7.50 tps
1.41 EF – 18 points of IAS
1.42 EF – 17 points of IAS
1.43 EF – 16 points of IAS
1.44 EF – 15 points of IAS
1.45 EF – 14 points of IAS

2.50001-2.85714 aps - 8.57 tps
1.41 EF – 38 points of IAS
1.42 EF – 37 points of IAS
1.43 EF – 35 points of IAS
1.44 EF – 34 points of IAS
1.45 EF – 33 points of IAS

2.85715-3.33333 aps - 10.0 tps
1.41 EF – 63 points of IAS
1.42 EF – 62 points of IAS
1.43 EF – 60 points of IAS*
1.44 EF – 59 points of IAS*
1.45 EF – 58 points of IAS*

* The interesting thing about these 3 breakpoints is that you only lose 1 level of tick speed without WOTB – while this is not too common, it is useful nonetheless.
@Raging K

Do you know if these breakpoints are applicable to ROS. Is WW dead in ROS.

WW is the whole reason I have a barb. WW is just a good in there and get close fighting skill. It's the best fun.

It's the fray rune that has been changed, so there is a generation issue in Ros. I'm importinga decent full IK set from live to at least mitigate this issue a little.

I'd be interested to know if it's worth it. You lose a lot of dps and ehp with the full IK set. The alternative would be to use a fury generator. I saw recently that Nubtro is going this way - at least he was trying it in one particular post. Of course it ties up a whole skill slot, but it gives much better fury gen than IK 5, with no stat compromises.
Fluidity and functionality are worth much more to me than stats ever could be. I intend to go into RoS with IK5. It makes things much smoother. Don't know how long I'll stick with it, but particularly for blasting through the campaign the first time around, that fury gen is going to make things go quicker.
