Please separate leaderboards by class

General Discussion
There should be a separate leaderboard for each class, since its quite likely that Blizzard will fail at class balancing.

edit:
Specifically, I'm looking at the conquests. Which sound like they are limited to top 1000 players (any class)
Greater Rift leaderboards will be split between both Hardcore and Normal gameplay modes as well as Seasonal and Non-Seasonal characters. To help encourage a variety of play styles and allow you to measure yourself against similar competitors, we've also broken up Greater Rift leaderboards into the following categories:

•Solo play for each class (e.g. top players for Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Crusader, etc.)
•2-Player Groups
•3-Player Groups
•4-Player Groups
In D2 there was a lot of filtering, so I am sure your wish will be granted in some aspect.
Really? What about this part?

Conquests are considered "first come, first served," and the first 1000 individuals to complete a Conquest within a given Season will be immortalized on that Season's regional Leaderboard. Right now, we're looking to provide between 10-15 unique Conquests each Season, and each Conquest will have its own Leaderboard. Conquests will also provide achievement points and will count toward your Seasonal point total. These points will be provided regardless of whether your character placed in the regional Leaderboard.

Only 1000 people (any class) get the achievement. Sounds like a recipe for class imbalance.
Greater Rift leaderboards will indeed be separated by class for solo play.

Season-Only Leaderboards will not, since the relevant data will be tracked at the account level rather than at the character level.

Some Leaderboards will be Season-only. For example, Conquests are only tracked on Seasonal characters, so these Leaderboards won't have a non-Season equivalent. The same will be true for Seasonal achievement points. In addition, because Conquests and achievements are account-wide, their associated Leaderboards will not be split between Normal and Hardcore (even though some tasks may require playing a particular mode).

Note that this is currently how Leaderboards function in 2.1.0, but that the functionality is subject to change before patch ships. :)
Thanks for the clarification, Lylirra.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Separate seasonal leaderboards by class too.

Limiting rewards to 1000 players of any class is a terrible idea. Whatever class is strongest will have a huge advantage. And, unlike the current game (where balance doesn't really matter), it WILL affect other people negatively.
There are technically two "seasonal" leaderboards:

One for Conquests (seasonal only)
One for Greater Rifts (seasonal, softcore, and hardcore)

The Greater Rift Leaderboard is split up by class.

Edit: The Conquest Leaderboard is only for Seasonal Achievements. It has no basis on class balance.
The first 1000 bots win the conquest achievements?
cant wait!!

Technically, yes, but why would they bother with achievements when they can be getting season-only legendaries?

How does this have no basis on class balance?

Conquest includes things like first T6 malth kill.

This sheds a huge light on class balance, since only 1000 people get the achievement. I don't expect Blizzard to perfectly balance every class. These conquests need to be separated by class.
No Paragon/Leveling-Ladder ? :( I am really disappointed
I think there is confusion as to what this topic is about.

Everyone please note that OP is talking about the limited availability of Achievements (CONQUESTS); 1000 completes per Achievement (CONQUEST); that will then be reflected on the leader boards.

--NOT the leader boards themselves.--

EDIT: BUT because " Conquests will also provide achievement points and will count toward your Seasonal point total."

What he is saying is. Because class balance will most defiantly continue to be an issue in patch 2.1 this will potentially give certain classes an advantage at achieving these limited available CONQUESTS -- THUS padding that specific classes overall score on the season CLASS shared leader board

I hope that clarify the post and moving forward this discussion can be productive and on the correct subject

@IQuit

You are 100000000000000000000% correct. If we look at the current state of the game and implement limited quantity achievements then we can see that most classes are going to have less of an opportunity to gain those achievements.

PS: to everyone else please read and think before you just copy paste without understanding what is asked or being said.
Sample: Q : What time is it?
A : Time is a function of longitude.

Only 1000 players get on the leaderboard for that achievement.

The 1001st player to kill Malthael on T6 will still get the achievement, but they won't get their name on the leaderboard.

Also, as Lylirra posted:

Achievements are account-wide, so they will not split up the associated leaderboards.

Patch 2.1 PTR will be in place to balance all six classes before Patch 2.1 is released.
Shameless bump as the issue of this thread has not been addressed

That's definitely feedback we can take into consideration and, of course, will be mindful of (if not actively looking for) during the public testing phase.

Can't you figure out a way to reward hardcore conquests vs normal separately?

Don't you remember back at D3V launch where the glass canon's death flopped their way to glory?

The same thing will happen with conquests, making it very tough for the hardcore character to place in the top 1000, if they have to compete against the death floppers.
Thank you so much for the timely response.
