No, they won't stop, it's their world, their game and their rules.

The real question is, if it's them managing their game that pisses you off so much, why keep playing it?

Why does it not piss you off?
Or you can just run bounties and run into 4-5 pairs a run.

Except there was nothing stealthy about the 'Nerf' (which btw was clearly a fix).

Basically this. I've been working on the hotfix list for a while, which has now been updated, but sometimes it can take some time to verify everything. There were a lot of fixes that went out recently, and we make it a point to double (and sometimes triple) check to make sure they're accurate before we post them.

The Vault is meant to be a relatively rare and fun interlude. We want it to feel extremely rewarding when it's encountered. When we implemented on the PTR, in order to facilitate testing, it had a much higher spawn rate. A zone like this can be frequent or it can be awesomely rewarding, but not both or it dilutes both its purpose and how great it can feel. The idea is for it to be memorable and a special experience rather than another place to farm regularly.

In addition, Treasure Goblins themselves are meant to be a rare occurrence, and no zone should have a 100% spawn rate for them. Any additional instances of this should be reported in our Bug Report forum.

Seasons starting with less exploits and cheese is awesome. Thank you for the fixes.

Im curious as to how rare you wish to make the vault? Somwhere along the lines of the cow level, (which is a lie), rarity?
If you wanted it to be so rare and a treat maybe you shouldnt have made it so one of the coolest and most useful legendary gems in the game DROP FROM IT!!!! I have farmed over 400 gobs (800 with the buff) and have not seen a single portal.

And don't get me started on this friggin Gift to add sockets to weapons. Havn't seen that either even though they seem to rain from the sky for the majority of people. So sick of RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG. If I wanted this much RNG I'd go to the casino. Have a better chance of hitting a slot machine jackpot than actually getting anything out of this patch.

I would just like to jump in here and say 2 things.

First thing, job very well done on The Vault. I think this will make Bounty Farming seem a lot less like a chore and more of a rewarding experience even if you don't always see this zone. Just don't make it absurdly rare so that you never see it because I have still not seen the Lord of Bells on live Servers despite killing him countless times in the beta.

Second thing, the game needs more experiences like this.

You guys are actually doing an incredible job so far and I'm running out of things to complain about! That makes me INCREDIBLY happy!

Stop acting like an entitled kid. The whole point is the hunt. D2 had it, d1 had it and D3 has it. If you wanted every item you could possibly want why don't u just buy the ps4 game and dupe the !@#$ out of it.

Some things just shouldn't be handed out left and right. If everyone could get any of the special actions within a few tries, then it wouldn't be so special.

I've only made it into the treasure realm maybe 6 or 7 times (2 of those were in 1 day, while split farming act1 for RoRG) out of the entire time the PTR was up. At first, we farmed for the goblin in some cellar in Old Tristan, and Blizz fixed that. So we started farming the goblin in HoA 2, and after while, that too got fixed. And I was ok with that, because this isn't WoW. We shouldn't just go to one place and expect things to drop in our hands just because we were being tenacious.

That being said, I'm rather enjoying my new boon of the hoarder gem I picked up last night. :)

I agree that The Vault should be rare but as is not many people will ever see this level. There is two reasons to do bounties, RoRG and rift fragments. But after one gets a RoRG they'll have enough fragment to last a lifetime. I think a better solution to this problem is allow The Vault to spawn in rifts and lower the chance to spawn to balance it all out. That way everyone wins.

I agree that this it classless and tasteless. The odds of the portal were still low enough to make it a non-issue. These devs need to comprehend what kind of a game this is. People farm. For everything! A lot. Stop %@*%%@#@!! all the farm spots or no one will play anymore.

Actually they want as much useable content so people WILL play more. Not all of us like grinding the same spot over and over for the best drop rates.

Quit crying it really is sad. They made a mistake. It happens. This is why they wait a bit for seasons.

If it was low enough for it not to matter why were people running it over and over and over and over again? Because of how fair it was? Give me a break dude.

You should've thought of that before you made goblins spawn in pairs, or;

it dilutes both its purpose and how great it can feel.

The idea is for it to be memorable and a special experience rather than another place to farm regularly.

Then why, in heaven's name, did you only make the goblins spawn the portals in adventure mode?!? You do realise, that no-one is playing adventure mode just to slay goblins, making it NOT a special experience during regular game play, but INSTEAD another place to farm? It's precisely the opposite of what you say!

I mean, what the hell, what are you guys thinking? I can't believe what I'm reading!

In addition, Treasure Goblins themselves are meant to be a rare occurrence, and no zone should have a 100% spawn rate for them.

Then all zones should have a 100% possibility to spawn a portal.
So....you want goblins to be a rare thing, then the goblin portals...be a rare occurence, from a rare creature! FANTASTIC....F the casuals once again eh. I don't have time to sit here and spend 5-6 hours a day playing, I may get 2...guess I won't EVER get a goblin portal.

Thanks Blizz
So it gets "fixed" immediately after many people started farming it...Riiiiiiiiiiiight. If it needed a fix, why wasn't it fixed earlier?
It was fixed.. in PTR.

For some reason, that fix never came with 2.1 when it came out.

As for casual players, thats me, and I've already gotten the portal once last night. Probably because I wasn't really looking for it. I saw 2 gobs and whacked away. One got away and the one that didn't, spawned.

Ya they always run opposite directions!!!!!
You want the goblin rift to be a special thing, but it contains a Legendary Gem that makes gold a non-issue.

Think about the difference it will make in Seasons for Player 1 to get the Hoarder Gem on Day 1, as oppose to Player 2 getting it even just a week in. Some may not find it at all.

That's fine logic and all, but this was an awesome experience for farming, and even though I don't need gold anymore I still want to get in there because it is one of the most fun/creative things that the team has done. The problem is the devs made this so enjoyable that everyone wants to run it over and over. At the very least, this should have been fixed after the buff, or just not as quickly as it was.

If more content was as enjoyable as the vault, this wouldn't be as big of an issue and while the changes in 2.1 are great, I think most people are going to remember the vault as being the best. I even got lucky enough to get ramaladni's gift off the boss in my first vault run, talk about an enjoyable experience. Not so much luck or fun in the rifts/greater rifts yet.
