diablo4, last diablo game ?

General Discussion
any thoughts?
We will have a better understanding after Blizzcon. We will either see a rebirth of D3 or the final nail in the coffin for the series.
Diablo will never go away as it is the best selling game ever in any place in this world next to chess, which has been played for centuries.

In one form or another Diablo will be played, joyfully by tens of thousands of humans all over this great world!
They said a long time ago the vision for Diablo was DIII, two expansions, and DIV; then the Diablo universe is done.

Is that still the plan? Who knows, maybe they will provide some insight during Blizzcon.
I think Diablo is over. Unless they start a whole new story with brand new lore. AkA the original game and the sequel's never happened.

Just because something sells it doesnt mean its worth the money(can give you way too many examples). Most people who bought diablo 3 are between the ages of 12-20 and 90% of them havent even played 5 min of d1 or d2 and have no clue what diablo as a genre is about and probably never will. Blizzard sometimes makes a mistake looking ahead and adjusting their product to be what a new generation of humans would expect.

Would love to see your data source for this.

I agree. Feel like that's total BS considering recent data show's that the average age of a gamer is like 30 or something.

what jay wilson actually said at the time was d3v 2 expac then " the diablo main story arc is over but chris metzen has lots of lore knows where the series is going..."

look it up those are the exact words there was NO mention of Diablo 4 just because YOU want Diablo 4 doesnt mean it makes sense for Blizzard financially to abandon Diablo 3 with 150+ M sunk in with development/ marketing of Diablo 3 and expansion on all platforms
add to d4 lore a necromancer who revived deckard cain
then deckard cain becomes the final diablo in diablo4
impossible to be killed unless you grind for items for like a year or even more

here you go blizzard
Diablo 5 -> full VR *confirmed*. :P
When graphics are so good it's hard to tell between the real world and the virtual world. VR is going to be so very cool.
