Timeouts and Disconnects

I just started playing my blizzard games after coming back from a mlk weekend vacation. I can't play Diablo 3 or Overwatch. Haven't tried Starcraft yet. All I get is a network timeout after 30 secs to 1 minute of play. I can't get on at all. This is really annoying.
Having same issue, on a weekend 14-15 january I played diablo without any problem... since than I haven't have time till yesterday, tried to get to the rifts and got disconnetion after 30 secund, but when in town I dont get the disconnection. When Diablo is online game you have to fix it Blizzard. Or just give us offline mode for god sake!!! Hate you for taking my money and gives me back only unplayable crap!!! That's like selliong me car that can go only for 2 kilometers and then stop. You can ride it but where is the point. You sell product that has glitches. Anyone else would have to compensate this. So please solve this!
Same issues here. I get onto D3 without much problem, start a rift or grift, but then, all of a sudden, I'm disconnected. Really annoying.

Blizzard, I know you're probably working on the problem right now, but throw us a bone, so we KNOW you're working on it, at least.
Same issues here, just got booted for the sixth time in the last 6 hours. This is getting to the point of being unplayable for the simple reason I can't start a rift or grift because more then likely I will be disconnected.
mine has worked fine for the last 2 weeks since i bought the expansion, no problem. I didnt play it much before that, it works fine all yesterday, never disconnected. I got up this morning and bam, i cant stay connected more than 3 minutes. I'm calling blizzard now, i want my money back for the expansion, they can keep their game. I know its something that is changed between yesterday and today. I am on holidays this week from work and looked forward to playing the week, now i can't. As far as i'm concerned blizzard owes me my money back for the expansion and ill go play someone elses game that can have theirs working... either that or when its working, pay for me to have a week off to play like i should be able to now.
I am having the same damn issue. The Battlenet loader won't even load my account info and no sign of my tweet to Blizzard CS or of a response. WTH Blizzard? You didn't fix a darn thing!
Hey all. Sorry for delay, have been on weekend.

There aren't really many similarities between the tests that were provided here, and the original poster never sent in a test either, which is what I was looking for here. Some of the posters have high packet loss in their tests which is probably the reason for the disconnections. There are also a few things that are not the same problem as the original poster being reported here. What I can do is point out a few problems I saw in some of these tests which are probably the cause of the issue. I can point out a few that do have some obvious problems.

Lostmessiah, you have packet loss that appears to start right after your router. You can see your router's IP address, and then about 30% packet loss which goes down the rest of the test. For your situation, I recommend power cycling your network hardware and contacting your ISP about the packet loss if it fails.

Vicodinz, this is the beginning of your test, and this packet loss starts between your computer and router. I'd also try power cycling using the instructions in the link above. If that doesn't work, if you're on wifi, you probably need to get much closer to your router or swap to an ethernet cable if that fails. You can also update your network drivers.

It's not possible for us to troubleshoot everyone's individual issue in this one thread, and we aren't aware of any server-side connection issues that would cause this currently. If we do see high impact issues, we post about them on the forums or on Twitter until they're fixed.

All we see in this thread is a bunch of one off issues with no common cause currently. You're probably better off starting your own thread or opening a ticket if I didn't address your specific cause here, or you are not the original poster. If you do start a thread of your own, we do need the MTR tests to be run to both IP addresses for Diablo III while you are having problems with your connection so we can try to find out why this is happening to you specifically.

If we do find some kind of issue on our end, we'll definitely post about it, but that is not what we're seeing right now.
Ok, so I ran the test. I do not see any packet loss for the first, I got disconnected after about 30 seconds to one minute.

Hi Sunny420,

Your log shows packet losts and high latency starting from first row all the way down.

OK this is utterly insane ! i just trialed SC season for 1 whole week no diconnect or time out and just now 10mins into HC (playing solo) i immediately dced while doing bounties explain please Admin. it makes no sense how this works ?

The internet is quite complex and your data takes 10-20 different physical hops before getting to a server. The path you take is different to every server, just like the roads to every city are different. It is VERY common that one of the hardware hops you take has congestion, at least some times of day :(
Ok, I'll preface this with what I do ... I am part of the team that maintains, supports and diagnoses issues on the very ISP I use ... an internal department of Network Specialists

192.168.1.254 1 0 % 804 802 3 5 953 5
10.145.184.1 2 0 % 803 801 3 6 953 6

198.233.244.166 6 0 % 763 761 50 51 961 52
37.244.5.33 7 0 % 763 761 50 53 461 53
* 8 100 % 0 0 ∞ 0 0 0
* 9 100 % 0 0 ∞ 0 0 0
37.244.0.103 10 0 % 752 750 66 68 440 67
24.105.30.129 11 0 % 746 744 71 75 953 75

Now it's not showing there just now as I didn't capture it the moment I got disconnected but ... right after disconnect yes, all rows showed packet loss

I am on Fibre Optic, there is ZERO packet loss from our network equipment to my modem. There is zero loss from anyhwere else using any data packet size from outside our network. So i watched and let the MTR continue and the packet loss was highest on 198.233.244.166, QWest. The packet loss was showing 1% for all hops, and after a about 10-20 more counts everything pre-198.233.244.166 had dropped to zero ... ie less than 1%, everything from QWest and on was still at over 1%.

You can blame this on multiple ISP's all you want, but the packet loss is NOT on our ISP's networks. I get this is a difficult issue to pin down, but from what I am seeing this is some sort of routing issue ... why on earth is my connection from Alberta to the Diablo servers routing from QWest 198.233.244.166 to somewhere in Germany (37.244.5.33)

Lookup failed: 37.244.5.33 No data
37.244.5.33 is from Germany (DE) in region Western Europe

Whois query for 37.244.5.33..

Did somebody just buy a new block of IP's and forget to tell everyone to update the Geo tables? In either case I'm firmly convinced the problem is @ 37.244.5.33

i perfectly understand the complexity of the internet. im just a venting HC player who just wants to enjoy that aspect of the game.... im doing anything and everything i can to try and resolve the problem from my end. things are just so conveniently time thats all and its frustrating.
So after playing with no problems for weeks since start of season, I suddenly am experiencing constant disconnects and drops. Regardless of what is said about it being an ISP issue, I think it has to do with the 64 bit client. How do I downgrade????
**new edit - tried switching to 32bit vs default 64bit and no difference, same incredibly often 3007 disconnects only this morning (vs entire season to date no issue)

Until this morning, my connection has been very stable. But starting this morning, I'm getting 3007 disconnects literally every 3-5 min, many times shorter intervals.

Of course I've had 3007 disconencts every now and then - but barely 1-2 per week of play. I call that as stable one can realistically expect in any online game.

But whatever reason, this morning is just unplayable as disconnects 30 sec to ~5 min max is game breaking. Did the bnet article suggestions (reset router, join general chat, enable secondary logon in Windows, etc)

Many attempts to resolve and nothing seems to be working. All traceroutes seem okay (no spikes or packet loss.)
