Timeouts and Disconnects

I play on the US server after having so many problems on the Asian server, I'm Australian and I've done everything Blizzard asked including port forwarding and turning off background apps. All websites and youtube load like normal although I notice there is one website that does have trouble loading and I have to press the icon multiple times before it loads and it's this one.

When the new patch happened in December my disconnects became so common so I tried the steps and it worked but the an update came through the other day and now I seem to be back at square one with all these problems. My latency 2 days ago got over 2000 msec (I didn't think that was possible). It gets worse when I play in a group.

Blizzard has assured me that their servers are working perfectly under all conditions but so many are having the same issue and it's only Diablo this happens to. Now they want me to run it as an administrator and other things but this is just becoming too much and I have better things to do than play with lag spikes for a short period of time before having a disconnection.
Me too... I just bought the game a few days ago. All was fine until today. Can´t f*cking play the game because it kepts disconnecting every 15-20 minutes. Rage quit. Tired of playing the same section over and over again. That's why I didn´t bougth the game earlier, because this STUPID always online bullsh*t. I BOUGHT the game and can´t f*cking play it, even now YEARS after release, this f*cking bull!@#$ persists.
Fortunately for me, the problem resolved itself after ~36 hours. The new IPs bliz deployed was not propagating fast enough apparently and after some delay (basically 2 missed days of playing or ~36 real hours), my connection is back to being rock solid.

So they've given me another list of things to do and it has helped, one was to turn off the xbox game dvr that microsoft installs.

My guess is that Microsoft and Blizzard don't work together as everytime things get better it's to do with having Microsoft programs being turned off.

Still I have to admit it's pretty silly how much we have to go through just to play the game.

Same problem here and mine just started today....random crashes about half way through quests, rifts, etc.
From Malaysia (Unifi 30Mbps), problem with high latency lags started since mid last week. Tried to route to ANZ with "OnlineService.Matchmaking.ServerPool=AU1" in the bnet command line, seems to work much better. Problem arises when anyone who does not route to ANZ joins my game, high latency comes back. So this mean I can only play solo??

Here are my looking glass results:

My question is (since i am not a technical person), where does the fault lie? with Blizz or with my ISP?

Hope CM or a rep from blizz could answer my question

Thank you
It been almost a week, I can't play D3 at all coz latency is always red.. In this case I think I better quit playing..
It's getting worst. Previously, It lags every 8 to 10 minutes for about 30 seconds. But it's unable to play at all now. Latency stays at more than 1k ms and you'll be disconnected after 5 minutes.
Even logging into battle.net website is taking a long load time. Now I play (when I'm able to login), constantly getting 300x errors, unable to connect to battle.net during load screen and even when it does takes ages to authenticate.

Sigh...
Same for me, i am from Malaysia and using TM Unifi service, it has been unplayable for about a week. Lag spike from 300ms to 3000ms.

I am not sure if this is Blizzard issue or our ISP issue. I am leaning more to ISP here. It seems to affect all Unifi user at the moment. At least from all my friends whom still play and is on Unifi.

yeah its UNIFI issue i guess.
I'm from malaysia too
Had the same problem few days ago
Was fine yesterday with low 200ms

But logged in today and latency spiked up to 1.9k ms

I think so too.. I am also having issues .. can't even log in.. it keeps getting disconnected. From Malaysia and using UNIFI as well.
KL on UNIFI. But I wouldn't put all the weight on Unifi as my mates in PG are running on streamyx and maxis fiber having the same issue ever since the last patch? And yet we have no blues commenting and looking into the issue ?

And you're surprised because?
Hey all,

Looking over the resent reports in this thread looks like most of you are in Malaysia or Australia. The connection test I have seen post are to the North American servers. If you are player in the Americas region the server, you would want to do the test to are the ones located in Australia. To help out find what may be the common cause here please run a WinMTR to the Australian server IP address 103.4.115.248.

WinMTR
    1) Download WinMTR - http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/
    2) Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
    3) Open the WinMTR folder and select the one corresponds to your version of Windows (32 or 64 bit version).
    4) Run the WinMTR.exe
    5) Type the IP address 103.4.115.248 in the "Host" field
    6) Click on "Start" while playing
& Run for at least 10 minutes then click on "Stop" in WinMTR
    7) Click on "Export text" and save to a text file.
    8) Copy and paste the contents of whole file here.
    9) Click on "Start"
    10) Run for 10 minutes then click on "Stop" in WinMTR
    11) Click on "Export text" and save to a text file.
    12) Copy and paste the contents of whole file here.
Unfortunately, my ISP, Telekom Malaysia (TM) block ICMP traceroute. So any ICMP related tools will fail. The only way to do this is by using tcp traceroute.

Hi, Eloemaz.

I am assuming 6) to 8) is while you are playing Diablo 3,
and 9) to 12) is when I am not?

If so;
here are my results:
