Hello guys, i am having trouble, I've purchased the game yesterday. And i ran into trouble well actually let me state this first, i had the trial game first and loved it, so what i did was buy a key, then enter it in the game, and its showing as if i am still owning the Starter version :'( now i cannot create a second character or even do anything that you could do inside the retail game. I Would say how much i been a fan of the series but i'll save that for another time, i don't want to take up anyone time! Also forgot to mention that this is the digital version bundled with Reaper of Souls.

Sometimes, it can take a little while for the game to update... up to 72 hrs; the important part is that your Battle Net account is showing the right info.

On the top of this screen, to the right, you will see you userID with a down arrow; click the down arrow and select Account Settings. After you log in, you will see a list of games under your Game Accounts. Click on Diablo III to see the info Battle Net has. Hopefully the information is correct.

If you purchased Reaper of Souls (or the Battle Chest), you needed to enter 2 codes in the old days... one for Diablo 3 and another one for RoS. Nowadays, don't know. There's a button to add a Game Key in the summary tab.

Sometimes, changing your Battle Net password can help the game reset... you can do that under "Settings" tab.

Edit : you will know that RoS is activated when you can create a Crusader... Crusaders are only available under RoS.

I checked your account and on my end it shows up as being upgraded to Reaper of Souls. Restrictions on digital downloads can sometimes take up to 72 hours to be completely removed since we have to wait for bank authorizations to go through. I didn't see any orders on your account that went through us. Did you buy the game key from us? Are you still experiencing this issue?

Hey bro :) everything is good sorry about the little delay, had to degrag my system and all too while the cleaning processs was going on strong!
I as well having issues with game showing that I now have the "Starter Edition" after installing from a Full Store bought "Standard Edition - us" with the 26 Key code Which I did play to hard level 60 almost 4 years ago before managing to recover my account from a hacker and now not being able to upgrade to a Gifted Reaper of Souls because of this Starter edition State I'm stuck in. I Contacted Support Via Email Ticket And was told by a dude named Specialist Game Master Bethshadd that" I checked and it does appear the only license on the account is the Diablo III starter edition". wtf!! he suggested live support to help resolve this issue , looked for the live support tab under "Support" none Found. I need support to resolve this issue! Ps I have both saved Email reply's from Blizzard Entertainment in regards to the recovery of my account at the time I was Playing Diablo 3 back in 2013.

The Game Master may have been referring to Live Chat which is only available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific Time or Phone Callback which is only available from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time. Not sure why they couldn't help you through the ticket, however, nor what the other modes of contact can do that he can't.

If you select "Account hacked" under Account, you can see the 3 available channels for contact, or you can use this link where I did use those settings:

There isn't much more that we can do here.... the Blizzard support agent can lookup your account but they will likely see the same thing that the Game Master saw. Not sure what else they can do, except to recommend that you contact the account people directly as you have already done.

Bought the game a few years back and downloaded and registered the game with battlenet. Then I deleted a while back and had to wipe my machine now I have tried reloading it and can only get the started pack.

You would think one you bought it you should be able to up load it and deleted it as many times as you want.

You can as long as you use the same Battle.net account.

Try using your other Battle.net account that you have with "GMX.CO.UK".

I haven't played D3 in a few years, just re-downloaded the game on the same old computer and using my old blizzard account, yet i cant play full version. help.
Same problem here as several others above. Bought retail copy of Diablo 3 from local Gamestop franchise in 2012. Built a new computer since then and trying to go back to play the game again. Still using the original battle.net account, have the original install dvd w/ code, have tried to copy/transfer install folder from the old computer to the new. Still saying "starter edition" and only allowing play to skeleton king. Nothing shows up in battle.net account history, authentication key activation says already used (as expected). In short, I can't figger this one out on my own, so... help? (Same issue with Starcraft 2 but don't have original dvd and not sure if bought retail or digital.) Am willing to buy the RoS expansion, but would like to play the games I paid for.

This Battle.net account from which you're currently posting was created in June 2015. It couldn't have been the same one you used when you bought the game back in 2012.

If you submit a support ticket or enter into a live chat session with a Billing rep, if you can provide the authentication key they can see which account it's attached to and if it appears to be yours based on the contact information, they'll let you know what it is.

Actually, I do believe I may have found the account but you'll still want to talk to a Billing rep as if I have the right one, it's had Diablo III closed on it due to a compromise. You'll need to work with the rep to see if it can be reopened.
