Hey all,

Just wanted to jump in to say we've heard reports of people attempting to roll back their rollback. We've looked into it and seen no cases where people are actually trying to do so (regardless of claims in chat channels), but we'll keep a close eye on it.

guys :/
wouldnt it be way easyer to say, this could have never happened, coz we ensure things before to prevent it :X

this looks like ... "damm we never thought about this possibility"

coupled with the fact they removed the button on the site (means it was possible). you will see these gems pop back up but the exploiters will be smart and not post LB clears with them too soon so they could be reasonably expected to be maybe be legit.

"Always Online" they said.
"We'll protect the integrity of the game from cheaters" they said.

Always online is to protect the game from 3rd party cheating programs and have nothing to do with ingame bugged mechanics.

this has worked well hasn't it?

There are people with 140 gema rolledback from the rollback.

Can you do your job correctly just one time? And also botters dominated season 10 leaderboards, wheres the banwave ?

It actually happened previously during the Bloodshard exploit.

People used the account rollback to negate Blizzard's forced rollback. It's literally history repeating itself.

I've seen no armory links from anyone. I looked myself and found none. Blizzard says there are none. That's more than proof enough for me that this theory is a myth.

But the mob on this forum would rather believe rumors from General Chat and their own wild theories. Go figure.
Keep rolling back till the game turn back to Vanilla. Then, start again.

Not the point, Perhaps Blizzard doesn't feel they can afford to ban that many players possibly losing a great % of their playerbase

Why does it matter to them? They've already practically abandoned D3 and barely give half an !@# to actual development. They already got their money from the players, the least they could do is give them the value they paid for.

When was the necromancer released please ? 2 weeks ago ? So you're telling us that Blizzard suddenly abandoned the game in 2 weeks ?

Every player they ban is a player that will not buy any future DLC or maybe a virtual pass for the blizzcon. Business is business, Blizzard has shown more often than needed that they cared more about their money than their customers. That's been their policy for years, we have accepted it for years. That's sad, but that's the way it is, regardless if you like it or not.

Bet you don't post about exploiters not being banned for cheating after they were specifically told not to.

Bit too sensitive to touch when you know your wrong.
You're giving the impression that you're "unable" to identify all the players who might've leveled up their gems to an otherwise unobtainable level.

.. yet all your data is stored in tables and is dated, too.

You keep letting players get away with such things and it's not acceptable.

wait wut... blizzard saves their data in tables?

my data is stored in my hard drive...
no wonder they have issues, they got like some guy with a carving knife just etching the data into his work bench.
I can just picture what his table looks like after he had to store the data for their maps:

Can you rollback the game to the time the Mirenae gem wasnt nerfed please :(
Just to bring up another way to avoid the roll back

Did Blizzard also looked into the last deleted char of an account?

You could have created a level 1 char and put all the 140+ gems in the inventory.
Afterwards you will delete that char.

Later on you can restore the char with the gems.

To do so, we will be issuing temporary suspensions over the upcoming Bonus XP weekend to those who are found to be the most egregious abusers, with a focus on those who continued abusing this exploit after we originally issued a public warning.

yet i don't remember if they "encourage player not to use this" or if "they strongly told ppl not to" in the message they posted

A bit of clarification on how D3 data is saved. Under normal play circumstances they save account snapshots. They do not keep a log of each characters individual actions second by second. They don't actually have that kind of data. That is why we have no GMs for D3 and they can't do individual item restorations for the game.
