I wish this game had endgame bosses

General Discussion
I mean what's the point of doing rifts for infinity just to get gear so you can do more rifts? This game really needs some big blowout boss fights with unique mechanics, legendary drops and movesets to give people something to work for other than just looping the same content over and over.

Anyone else think the game would be a lot better with three or four new big bosses to fight?
You mean like ubers when they were actually uber?
Before rifts, there was crater runs, and then targeted crafting mat hunting.

They had a mode already where the bosses in each act were targeted for items, but people did not like that, so they created rifts.

Moral of the story, people will always complain/want something other than what they have.
That's what Ubers were for, but now they are laughably easy. T13 in a day or 2 into season on HC.

But yeah this game could take a lot from what others of the genre have done over the past year or 2. Doubt we would see it in D3 tho.
You can play story mode. That's what we had before rifts.
Diablo dies when you sneeze in his general direction. He was hard long ago...

The campaign bosses aren't exactly mind-blowing in terms of mechanics or difficulty.

So what bosses do you suggest?

Even in PoE the bosses are pretty boring mechanically.

Diablo was tough back in the days. All bosses were.

Yeah, I was going to follow up with that.

I wonder how many people know about the 1h javelin attack speed build that was used to kill Belial?
Ubers need a rework...

Add GR scaling
Add new bosses and regroup them namely:
- Diablo, Mephisto and Baal
- SK, Butcher and Lazarus
- Andariel and Duriel
- Azmodan and Belial
- Magdha and Adria
- Ghom, Cydaea, Vidian
- SB, Kulle, Rakanoth,
- Urzael, Malthael, Izual

Gives some variety.
The bosses in D3 were tough back when all we had was Inferno mode and rares with stat stick legendaries were rare and sets a pipe dream.

It also did not help that every good build that people discovered would get kneejerk nerfed within a few days to try to slow down people's progress through inferno.

To be fair, Belial, Urzael, Malthael and even Diablo can be quite challenging with the appropriate balance. Even bosses like Adria will give you a hard time.

They have powerful attacks, but they can be dodged. Against Adria, the pressure is literally on you, as you dodge slime, AoE and try to focus on the boss while also dodging her attacks.

Uber Diablo is one hell of an encounter when you are not super geared.

Alas, the scaling in this game is totally crazy, so a lot of interesting content becomes irrelevant.

This begs to question, when the progress bar is filled in rifts, should we instead port to the games actual bosses that felt more, grand?
PVP is the end-game I really really want.

Like in D2!
