Loot Boxes w/ chance of Primal

There's a huge disparity in player power/rankings in this game based on time played.

Considering you're (hopefully) paying for a game to actually play it, that sounds like it is working as intended. The teams that put in the practice tend to do better in the games. Those that play and work on their skills will get further ahead. Sounds about right.

I just don't see how having the same disparity based on money spent would be worse, but I can see how it would be better - the money paid could help with new content etc etc.

This is the carriage ahead of the horse. They should make new, completely optional things to purchase like content to explore, new game modes, new equipment to find in game with stats/abilities on par with existing gear and players will pay for that content. Not because they feel they have to just to get ahead of the competition, but because it has value to them.

I wouldn't necessarily be against cosmetics in normal circumstances. I don't agree with them, but I wasn't against them overly much, but Blizzard would have to show me they intend to use money earned to improve the game before I would buy fluff. I supported the Necro with the belief they would use the money to create even more content for Diablo 3 and that didn't happen. I was quite aware the Necro didn't do anything to really improve Diablo 3, just add another class for more variety, but it was at least a start. Or so I thought. I won't fall for that stunt a second time.

Now I'll have to see further goods before I would put money into supporting this game in the hopes it would improve.
I know blizzard is in trouble from not making $100k a day from wow character changes anymore but a p2w lootbox, that is desperate.
I loled

Apparently this game is already 'bot to win',

Nope. bots are not allowed and is bannable. Even if they can and get away with it, it doesn't change the fact that it's not allowed. Therefore, any argument arising from your "bot to win" statement is irrelevant.

Why would I play mobile games when PC gaming is essentially the same? PC is better in every way and many PC games have the same pay2win model I love.

...I enjoy being able to buy things I need in video games, rather than grinding for them. ... I want primals for my classes and am willing to pay for them.

Clearly a troll post, and not even a very well constructed one. Please, don't feed, just ignore him...
Loot boxes are a cancer to the gaming industry so no thank you. If I wanted to gamble I would go to a casino.

What I would pay for however are QOL stuff like extra stash tabs/more character space, new content in patch form (IE Necropack), hell even cosmetics I'd pay for but to hell with the damn lootbox system.
Probably the best post since I used to troll the D1 forums. Well done. :

that the DSF was not the best place for him to post his fantasies

I enjoy being able to buy things I need in video games, rather than grinding for them. I spend too much time at work and too little time gaming. I want primals for my classes and am willing to pay for them.

If you don't have time to play a game then don't play it. We don't want game to be changed because nobody bothers to play (we had that with auction house before- you should be blamed for this)

If you want more time to play game you can always look for different job instead of changing whole game
Your a few years too late OP. When diablo 3 launched there was a real money auction house...it was actually something better than gambling with loot boxes...but it still ruined the goal of this type of game. Finding rare loot is always fun...you actually treasure it....whats the point of the game if all you have to do is pay 20 bucks to get all your bis perfectly rolled gear.

Why I play diablo 2....rares and epics are actually something to celebrate about if it drops.

Make D3 pay-to-win, no thanks.

Agree of course.
But what we do with boot-to-win? www.ros-bot.com ?

Hello all,

I enjoy being able to buy things I need in video games, rather than grinding for them. I spend too much time at work and too little time gaming. I want primals for my classes and am willing to pay for them.

Could activision please introduce some type of diablo 3 loot box system that has a % chance to drop a primal for your class? Maybe $2 for bronze, $5 for silver (Guaranteed ancient) $10 for gold (guaranteed primal).

Us whales, who keep video games going and keep you in business, would appreciate it.

I have nothing against that...
But only if they make Different REALM for it..
So one normal realms (like its now) for us normal people.
And additional - buy your primal stuff - pay-able for you rich bois and grils.
And same content for both realms...
Yeah sounds wonky and is probably a bad idea, and probably I know i get truck loads of dislikes, but this SHOULD bring more money to blizzard...
and yeah, it separate us to two "camps"... ^^
I actually got nothing against that.
But the realm separation is needed.
