Server Problem

General Discussion
When we start Greaters 110+ and pull a few mobs the server lags and it´s unplayble. We got this prob with Jade WDs and Meteor Wizards.

Is it a server problem?

Some skills have been known to cause lag in the past but I am not aware of any current. I don't play at that level though so may simply not be aware.

Test it at the same GR level with a few builds and record it. See if it only happens with specific combinations. If so, then go ahead and post on the TS forum first. Rule out any issues with optimizing your PC graphics or settings. Make sure there are no connection issues or slow downs.

If that comes out fine. Make a post on Bug Report with links to your TS thread troubleshooting ruling out connection, hardware, driver, and setting issues. Also link to the video showing the issues only with those builds.

I don't see why it would only be 110+ though. Mob get harder, but don't use different spell graphics or anything than say GR80 or GR90.

We´re playing 116 and pull alot of mobs.
It feels like to play a supportmonk with area damage in a big group of mobs^^
The result, we got lags, the latency get up and somtimes the screen freeze.

I hope u can imagine what i mean.

Edit

Alot of EU player got this problem.
I´ve got 5 messages in the last 20 minutes about this prob ...
It´s not my graphic^^

I understand you feel that way. Tech Support and QA need you to PROVE that though. It is really just basic troubleshooting 101.

First rule out all the common stuff and prove that is not the case. If you still have an issue after that, then there really may be a problem.

If you don't give them the data proving it though, they are forced to start by asking you for it. Just get it out of the way upfront.

It is like going to a specialist for a medical issue. They are going to need the basic test results your general doc did, even if they came out fine. Otherwise they have to repeat them to be sure there is nothing they are missing.
ok, thank you.^^
We were experiencing the same thing last night on NA servers. We were running seasonal 108s to 112s, and all party members suffered through the same lag (i.e., not a specific player's computer) once we grouped large mobs. One of your typical current meta setups - zmonk, zbarb, DH impale, and wiz (varying between TR meteor and star pact). None of the Zs had area damage on gear or in paragon. I was running much higher preseason with a similar setup with no lag issues.

Noting you are an Americas player and the OP is an EU player. Different routing and ISPs.

You may be 100% right, but you need to take the same steps I outlined. Connection routing, drivers, graphics settings, etc. We have had skill interactions causing lag before so it could be happening again.

The best test to run when you are lagging is the WinMTR. It tests your routing, packet loss, and latency in real time over a time window. Not just a 3 packet snapshot test. Let it run about 10 mins when you are lagging.

That gets the request for network data out of the way.

Go ahead and do the rest then post it and the video results on the TS forum. The more troubleshooting you do the easier it is to show them where the issue is.
@MissCheetah knock it off, next thing you know people will be accusing you of helping. :P
the game is definitely a lot laggier than last season. Even just running around in town my fps will start to dip on the same hardware as last season with no issues.

There is one more major issue this season - Windows 10 update that seems to be NOT so friendly to many things. I have not let it update yet. RESIST!

I know this is really frustrating to everyone though. I kind of see it like this.

Patient enters a Specialty clinic because they have a really bad cough. Nothing they tried on their own worked.

Reception Nurse : Hello patient how can I help you?
Patient: I have a bad cough!
Nurse: Certainly! We have seen some bacterial and viral issues going around. Have you seen your General Practitioner and gotten some tests done?
Patient: No...
Nurse: Please go to window 2 where our Physician Assistant can set you up with an appointment to get these 3 basic blood tests done and a chest xray. That gives our specialist some information to work with and rules out certain common things.
Patient: STOP BLAMING ME FOR MY COUGH
Nurse: ... O.o? We just need some baseline data patient. Things to rule out so the specialist can focus on what might really be wrong.
Patient: You can't do your job and should be fired!
Nurse: Well then, hope your cough gets better!
