What's the point of more armory slots?

General Discussion
I'm a generic player why did they create more armory slots when inventories are limited, and stash boxes are as well?
To make it feel like they gave you more than they did.
Yeah, I never saw the point in that either.

They could have spent the time giving us a proper game selector instead of dumping us in games we can't play.
It would be great if the armory actually stored the gear you had slotted into it until you put it on. Then the extra slots would be a cause for celebration.
They was thinking in LoN builds, now u can save them in armory lol

I'll just quote my response from another topic:

It's absolutely useful, but not for the thing you have in mind. It's not for keeping all Wizard builds in 1 Wizard hero and delete the others.
It's for the slight variations of one or two builds, at most.

Example: Crusader's Akhan Condemn build. There is the solo push build (GR110+), which by itself might have a few variations (when you are playing around with different passives, or gear that focuses on AD or cdr, etc.), then you have the T13 fast/keys variation, the Sage/DBs variation, the speed GR70s and GR90s for new gems upgrades, and so on.

The new armory slots make it easier to save all these slight variations and not having to think "what ring was I using when I did T13 with the Gloves of Worship?" all the time.

If you were expecting to save builds for all the sets available for each class, with all their accompanying bracers, off-hands etc. you will be disappointed.
Let's say you play Impale DH (Shadow set). You can have a cold build and a lightning build, solo speed build, solo pushing build, a multiplayer allround build and a multiplayer specialised build. And then you might even want to run builds with other set(s) on the same hero.

because its what they know how to do it!
China can buy more stash tab! Developers in us\eu dont know how to make that.
China can buy cosmetics, developers from eu\us don't know how they do that.

So, they give us what they know. More armory Slots for nothing.
its quality content that we have all been waiting for, including an additional 0 when dealing damage
Really, you are bringing up a question about every character being able to have 5 extra builds saved? With LoN being viable now, those extra armory slots will very much come in handy, and already have, for me at least. If you are having trouble with space management, try using your character inventory to store gear as well. And of course make sure you have all the available stash space possible (seasons conquests, necro pack)

They are showcasing their terrible design choices. Now if they had made it so the armor held the items.... they would get some kudos.

That would create a mess for items that you'd want to use on more than one hero... unless they reworked the whole stash/armory system - and provided more space for our stuff.

I'm curious how a game selector would work to fix the current pub problems. Won't games still be populated with people left over from games other people have started?
Use it for same set different skills per whatever character you have. With gems, without gems, etc., etc. There are endless possibilities to what you can do for a set with different skills, you just have to see how it works for you if you never tried something different with your set.

There is no reason whatsoever for one character to have more than one set of gear.

The armory in general is a completely pointless feature.
You have to understand that Blizzard is now a company that gives it's customers things that they DON'T want.

Also note that they can't just GIVE you or even SELL you extra stash space since it's one of the rewards of the Season Journey. I believe they should remove the stash limit as long as you can only obtain more stash space by completing the Season Journey. Thats is fair IMO.

So you're going to be constantly switching characters when you want a different set? Who the heck is going to do that when playing in a party? LOL Too funny.
Personally I find the previous armory to be to small so I like the addition.

I think this season my armory will look something like this:

1. UE6 speed
2. UE6 GR
3. M6 solo
4. M6 team
5. S6 RGK
6. ZDH
7. Gold build

Does that really even need to be said? Seems pretty obvious you wouldn't want to do that on HC characters you actively play with.
