Another mistake in the PTR notes?

The key point here was promptness in communication, and that was something we failed to deliver. We're all working our hardest to improve the communication pipeline, and this particular cause brought to light some areas that need improving.

So, let's look at the PTR patch notes again...
https://us.diablo3.com/en/blog/22933131/patch-265-ptr-preview-3-29-2019
We'll be conducting the Patch 2.6.5 PTR over the course of one week, starting Friday, April 5.

So, the PTR started on Friday, April 5th.
This means the PTR should have ended on Friday, April 12th.

It's currently 18:30 PDT on Saturday, April 13th, i.e. one day after the PTR was due to end, and yet the PTR is still up and available.

Could you update the patch notes to give us the new end date and make a blue post informing us that the new end date was always the intended end date and that it was merely bad / untimely communication?

Yeah the 1 week PTR was a typo and oversight oops. Kinda like that small stash tab thingy oversight thingy problem.

You know... things.

Maybe the PTR is hooked up to the MAU too? O.o
Due to things, we are extending the PTR for 2 additional months to give us more time to work on more things....
Somebody just forgot to turn off the switch when they went home from work.

Sure, because scheduled tasks / daemons aren't a thing...
Drop the copy/paste obligatory "better communication" post and end the PTR 15 minutes before they split for the weekend? Meteor, you ask way too much.
Everyone should honestly just play the PTR and quit the game while it's down. More exciting things happen on there than the actual game.
So, it's 02:45 PDT on Sunday, 14th April.
PTR's still up two days after it was supposed to end.
It's almost as if we can't trust what the patch notes tell us.
What's the point of this thread again? To mock Blizzard for their poor communication?

How many years of neglect and silence need to pass in order for you guys to stop being surprised whenever they fail to communicate things properly?

They scraped a whole promised game mode (arena pvp) they continously told us would eventually be implemented, until it no longer would be.
Even when their games were amazing they weren't exactly communicating with their fanbase properly, it's not their forte.

It's like people are waiting for Nev to say "Hey guys, we actually don't give a !@#$ about communicating with you, it's the least of our worries". It's not gonna happen.

The point is to mock Blizzard for saying one thing whilst meaning another. You know, like they did with the stash tabs. It's to show they literally can't get something as simple as how long the PTR will last right.

As long as they keep saying stupid stuff like:

We are going to keep calling them out for it. Either they are working on their communication or they are not, but don't keep telling us over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again that you are when it is overly obvious they are not.

At this point I would have a higher opinion of them if they just came out and said "We are going to make our games the way we want to. If you like it, play it, if not, then !@#$ and move along because we aren't going to change. If you are someone who wants communication, it isn't going to happen. Communication costs money and we aren't going to spend money unless we are making money off it, so good luck.".

This constant half baked attempt is way worse then them coming out and being honest with their customers.

Actually, if they just went ahead and said that I would respect the honesty.

Clearly, the forums reflect the belief that the above sentiment is the reality, which Blizzard deflects with one Blue post per month stating "We hear you."

It's Tuesday 16th and the PTR is still up, four days after it should have ended.

If the patch notes were wrong, when is the PTR actually supposed to end?
If the patch notes were right, why is the PTR still up?
No surprise. They even have difficulties with numbers from 1 to 5 (like in stash tabs availability). :-)
Meteorblade...do you write with someone xD
They show themselfes by likely 1 post (patch note) per month or less and then this post has mistakes like s%&...a shame for a company like this size...absolutly bad!!!
I think there sit some wrong people for this job...sry but its true -.-
I'm just curious on why there hasn't been a status update on this yet...
It’s ptr who cares if it’s there till the season launches ?
They forgot about PTR. "To do list" is too long.
Lol.

I do hope there hasn't been another blockage in Nev's communication pipeline.
mmm, maybe they extended it due to the update of April 9... which means it ends today (9+7=16)
