MY CONCLUSIONS

So, basically Wizard's Hydra (32) was the Queen of the most desired buff wish of all skills. Also Blizzard (23) and Mirror Image (20) received a lot of fame.

Crusaders' voice were clear: Phalanx (21) and Fist of the Heavens (21) desperately need a buff.

War cries of the Barbarian tribes remain loud, far too many skills have been neglected far too long, spreading the votes rather evenly between all the skills. Weapon Throw (16), Rend (>10), Frenzy (14) and Ancient Spear (12) gathered most of the votes.

Demon Hunters still can't lay down their hatred as also their skill variety have been left behind. While Rapid Fire (12) still needs some love, the most yearn for buffs was aimed towards Elemental Arrow (21), Strafe (20), Chakram (16) and Spike Trap (16).

Our revived class, Necromancer, clearly has especially two skills that need some attention. Revive (17) and Army of the Dead are not as useful in a way that players would love them to be. And hey, can someone finally fix that Flesh Golem bug? It is ripping my heart off.

Monks need buff here and there but most clearly one skill stood out: Tempest Rush (9) have no proper endgame viability.

Witch Doctors wish to unleash the Zombie Bears (19) while spreading the disease with the Acid Cloud (11). Also the interesting wildlife allies need some serious buffing: Frogs/spiders (10) and Piranhas/Bogodiles (7). Like Barbarians and Demon Hunters, also Wizard and Witch Doctor received a lot of votes for a great variety of skills.

----

Sage's buff was a great start, but while you are at it, check also the Asheara's Vestments (all followers all the time unable to die!) and several all-around items such as Rimeheart and Broken Promises to provide some improved build variety between all the classes.

Thank you on my behalf. Looking forward to see the next patch. Have a great summer!
Nice work Ruined!

Fingers crossed Blizzard takes this to heart. Good time for a blue post.
^ Thanks!

As there's hard to draw a line what barbarian skills need to buffed and how, I recommend to visit this topic where barbarian experts have done their calculations:

Worked in 2.6.1 so should work now, too.

Many of the buff not even hard, as they already have support legs, like hydra, that just need numerical buff, & maybe another support gear.
almost time for the next patch, finger cross

Really? I have not been paying attention, was just wandering that maybe somewhere close to August.
Or maybe the patch is one of the Blizzcon highlights for D3.

Wyatt Chang could come on stage and talk about how important the Diablo franchise is for them, then he talks about the new D3 patch, shows a few things for D3 to get people hyped and after that, Lois Barriga come on stage and reveals the next Diablo project with a cinematic trailer and then also shows gameplay stuff.

Maybe that is how it will play out.

So, it's unlikely at this stage we're going to make any additional new changes between PTR and Live. We need time to tie down, thoroughly test, and fire off our release client build to make sure everything's gravy before launch.

However, I really love this topic because it gives insight as to what skills you guys feel need more love. I can't promise exact changes in the future, but I'd really like to see conversation in here progress and evolve.

  • What skill would you like to see have more support? Is there one with a great fantasy/flavor you like, but doesn't have much power behind it?
  • Is there a class fantasy you feel isn't very fulfilled right now? Something you really want to be able to do with a class, but just isn't possible?

Thanks for being open with your opinions and thoughts on this. <3 Just remember to keep it constructive and on-topic. I'm not afraid to enforce either of those things. ;)

First of all, I want B.A.L.A.N.C.E

You are not working properly to balance the game. There is no point in buffing all the skills if there is one skill that is much stronger than the others. See how Chantodo is ... There is no competition, even Star Pact is weaker than chantodo to solo.

Delsere, Talrasha, Firebird are useless to solo push, are not competitive

Pls Blizzard, make more effort to balance this game, the PTR could be available for a longer period and not just for 1 week.

Thanks, Ruined.

We're hard at work on an update, so stay tuned for some BIG new additions to our proposal!
suggestion for WD:

transfer Zombie Piranhas rune effect to Piranhas without rune and add new rune:

Tentacle Beast - A snake-like beast emerges from the pool of water, spit poison and kick a nearby enemy with his tail. (and ofc some dmg)

do you forgot about him devs? :D
https://youtu.be/islwMPD2AU0?t=492
http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/monsters/act3-tentaclebeast.shtml
Diablo 2, Act 3, Sewers, Levels 2 - Stygian Watcher
The main problem is that a lot of skills, even these which are 'main' now, have only 1 playable rune. It should be changed, to give us more choices. For example DH Rapid Fire - only good with Grenades rune.

Rest of skills that should be powered (or add some items to power them):

Crusader:
Phalanx
Fist of the Heavens !!!!!!!!
Shield Bash
Heaven's Fury

Barbarian:
I haven't played a lot of barb char so have no idea...

Wizard:
Blizzard
Twisters
Slow Time

Demon Hunter:
Strafe
Chakram
Spike Trap - i am waiting for trap build !!!

Necromancer:
Revive
Army of the Dead
Bone Spirit
Bone Spear

Witch Doctor:
Zombie Bears/charger
Grasp of the Dead
Zombie dog
Wall of Death
Locust Swarm

Monk:
Tempest Rush - i think the rest of skills are on decent level

As mentioned in topic, all of primary skills of every class should be good enough to have an endgame build.

If we are talking about new skills. I think witch doctor should also have scorpion, centipede, bees and lizard skills
I just started playing PoE and there is a skill called Dash, which has a nice feature that also could be applied to the Demon Hunters skill Vault:

when you use that skill while you are holding the "Stand Still / Don't Move"-Button, you dash into the opposite direction of your mouse cursor instead of at its location.

I think that would be a cool feature for Vault as well, like a Backflip.
new Primary skill for WD: Hissing Snakes

Witch Doctor releases 3 snakes that crawl on the ground and find their enemies and bite them causing ???% Physical damage. (maybe over-time dmg)

Poison rune: Allergy - bitten enemies deal ??% less damage for ? seconds.

Physical rune: Plague of Snakes - Witch Doctor releases 2 additional snakes.

Cold rune: Paralyzing Poison - the snake bites make enemies are chilled for ? seconds.

Fire rune: Slithering Snakes - Witch Doctor sets the snakes on fire and they attack ??% faster.

Poison rune: King Сobra - Witch Doctor puts on the ground the jug from which emerges one big Cobra and bites nearby enemies within ?? yards. You may have up to 3 jug with cobra active at a time.
I believe all of characters (maybe except wizz) should get some new skills.

Below total number of skills each class.

a - active skill, p - passive skill

Barb: 23a + 19p = 42
Crus: 24a + 18p = 42
DH: 24a + 19p = 43
Monk: 22a + 18p = 40
Necro: 21a + 20p = 41
WD: 23a + 19p = 42
Wizz: 26a + 18p = 44
sugestions:
Caltrops
rework rune Jagged Spikes - Enemies in the area also take ???% Thorns damage over 6 seconds.

remove timer from Cape of the Dark Night https://us.diablo3.com/en/item/cape-of-the-dark-night-Unique_Cloak_001_x1

up chance for Cloak of Deception https://us.diablo3.com/en/item/cloak-of-deception-Unique_Cloak_102_x1

reduce time to 15-30 seconds or maybe totaly rework Beckon Sail https://us.diablo3.com/en/item/beckon-sail-Unique_Cloak_005_x1

Blackfeather https://us.diablo3.com/en/item/blackfeather-Unique_Cloak_101_x1
Dodging or getting hit by a ranged attack, reduce that damage by ??% and automatically shoots a homing rocket back at the attacker for ????% weapon damage as Physical (or maybe any type of damage that you have more on equipment).

I really really love Homing Rockets! :D sweet deadly feathers :)
Excellent work, Ruined! I want Chakram to someday be relevant and a viable option to use. Saddens me that it goes from being my favorite pre 70 because of how fun it is and how great it is, to being completely obsolete and not used.
Major sad face :(
