I Was In Bounties With 3 Bots

I was in a similar situation, with 2 other real players and 1 bot in public bounties. We had found a rainbow goblin and was waiting for the 4th to come in but the 4th just kept doing bounties.

There's bots running bounties all day and these hackers can just sit in cube rerolling their ancients/primals next day all day. This is so unfair for everyone else.

BLIZZARD PLEASE INSTALL ANTI-CHEAT PROGRAM!

I get your point.
Still if you're doing bounties, dont do rainbow gobs (maybe it's worth it at beginning of the season). at least wait until the bounties are finished.
rainbow gobs are a waste of time. rifts nowadays drop almost as much and even if not, all you people should be doing bounties for the mats, and the mats only!
I just hate it that everyone leaves their bounty to go for some random rainbow gob. It's just another game I need to carry going 13-14 bounties out of the 25.... it annoys me, sorry. :/

i will vote kick who doing pony/ Vault during bounties. 1stly, i will ask them to do it after bounties completed.
Speaking for myself only. When I am doing bounties I do not even look at the chat. I am there to do bounties not goblin farm, vault run, or socialise. One of the perks of having all the cosmetic rewards you can get.
When I run bounties that is what I am there to do. I do not go to goblins found or vaults etc... I do the bounties that I am there for. I do not even look at the chat window. Guess that makes me a bot.

I've played this game since vanilla and this is a new low.

I broadcast cosmetic gob if you want to join, no one responded; I happened to notice one of them in a bounty for very long time so I ported over to see if he needed help and he seemed to be running in circles; the actual best clue was... you know how you enter a boss fight and the other 3 parties need to decline, it usually takes a few secs (and they respond a sec or two apart from each other)? Well I entered boss fights and 3 declined simultaneously, instantaneously. Funny thing the last bounty remaining was Mathael and the bot algorithm couldn't figure out the path so all 3 had to wait on me to finish...

They were all 1500+ paragons and one of them was 2500.

I am no pro but I still want to compete. Done Solo 118 and want to remain top 100 by end of season. I play solo (ie no rats) so I am already being penalized for having 1000+ less paragons than top players, all I want is no botters on leaderboard. Hope that is reasonable to ask.

i already have all cosmetics in this game, why i would stop to kill a goblin?
there is usually at least one bot per public game for bounties now, I've had some bots who don't even finish one sub act and when I port to them they are stuck on a corner or just running around in a circle
is there a reward to topping the leaderboards?
I feel like a lot of people are missunderstanding my first response to this point. To calify, I myself don't do bounties to hunt for goblins, running into a rainbow goblin is sort of rare duting bounties, and it's not that I myself stopped bounties to do the rainbow goblin, there were 2 others that wanted to do it first so i joined in.

And the point of my first response is that there are bots in this game that can top leaderboards easy cause they are on almost all day every day, and blizzard should do a banwave. I did not intend to make the whole rainbow goblin thing the point of my response.
The point here is not that "killing rainbow gob while bounties is good or bad", but that "someone does not respond to other members while bounties, and he is obviously a xxx-bot cheater". Don't dilute the main idea from this discussion.

I call BS. The whole thing was that you (paraphrasing) "knew the player was a bot because he didn't respond in chat and kept doing bounties." I don't think anyone in this thread at all has said there are no bots in the game. Not one person. But you said that you knew you were in a game with a bot because he didn't respond to call outs of a rainbow goblin.

I've been in games where there were bots, no doubt. It was a cheap one and so it ported to Pandemonium Fortress level 2 and would port back to town and then back to PF L2.

One of the other players noticed and started a vote kick but because I was doing a bounty I miss clicked the approval of the kick and the kick failed. So that player left the game leaving me and another player with the bot. Me and that player finished the bounties, and I killed two goblins that spawned Greed's Realm. Me and that player knocked out those Greed runs and during one of them I got a puzzle ring, so we ran that too.

We didn't like the bot too much, but we played our game anyway and neither of us came to the forums to whine about it.

Point is, bots are bad no one is disputing it but your example of how a bot behaves and stating that it must have been a bot because it didn't respond in chat is what caused some controversy. Because many a legit player ignores chat even if the call out is "Rainbow Goblin".

bots are bad

Yeah that's exactly my point, it sounds like you understand what I wanted to state. I wouldn't state it any differently. And if the majority of the players in game wants you kicked you get kicked, no matter how dumb the reason is, that's democracy.
Some bot doesn't do public bounties so main account can claim those bounties. Even if bot account get banned, people would still buy another account to bot materials for their main. Blizzard will not do something about this. 29.99$ for an account to help your main and how long will it take for this account to get monitored? who knows?

Go back and re-read his post. he said this as well (which is more conclusive) he is not basing it only on them ignoring a call to gob:

First of all, you should never advertise rainbow or any gobs in first place. Why do we do pub bounties?? For mats, so efficiency matters. If we want to chase after rainbow gobs, join specific games for it. Its not the bots that ruin this game, noobs are.
With that many bots, I just chill and watch some TV and come back, letting the bots do all the work or just help finish the ones they are "stuck" on.

Advertising is fine but for the sake of efficiency, they should be done at the end so those who want to do it can stay and those that don't, can leave. For those that need wings, it can kill 2 birds with one stone.

now the vote kick windows almost similar to boss fight windows..

What a fool!

You are only penalized by your own ignorance.

I have many friends in Hard Core that are over 2K paragon this season and they play 4 to 8 hours a day doing group runs.

No botters.

It amazes me that these casuals that are lower than 2K paragon in season, cry like little babies when they see someone more dedicated than themselves.

I believe you have completely missed the point. The problem is that the game is infested with BOTS.

What OP is complaining about is that he can't really compete with guys who use cheats. I guess what he is saying is that it's unfair since the BOTS can run whole day and farm exp but a normal person can't because of responsibilities in his/her personal life.

So in a nutshell, you either have to play non-stop thus not having a life or BOT. Otherwise you are left behind.

2k paragon you say? Oh well there are chars with 7k+ and I can almost bet a lot of them are botters :D My point being you guys or your guys are left behind too. While you work someone bots.

Anyways, I don't really care since it's their choice what to do, BUT, I kinda do understand what OPs concern is.
