LOL!

Yeah, that selection of rancid death metal is not to my liking either. I love metal, just hate death metal with growling instead of signing.

Progressive metal FTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ-v32p6Nzo

You like Progressive Metal, and yet hate growling?
I have the band for you, bro, it's called Opeth.

You will be converted into accepting the growling overlords.

logged on just to say opeth is pretty awesome...

however porcupine tree is better =]
steven wilson is the man and so is devin townsend (not porcupine tree)

For the life of me, and I don't know why, I've never been able to get into Porcupine Tree. It actually kind of pisses me off to be honest. Oh well. =(
The best part about the Diablo music is that it's pretty sparse. It makes for a much more dynamic play experience, also giving the music more impact when it builds and crescendos.

Don't get me wrong. I like several bands that play some pretty hard stuff. But even the most diverse and dynamic of those bands won't be substituted in place of the full Diablo sound experience on my first play through. :)

This isn't just a "let the bodies hit the floor" game.

Nice drowning pool reference. Shows us that the blues are human, haha (just kidding).
I don't want to miss the full "sound experience" on my first playthrough either.
Opeth for sure
Mastodon
Slayer
Amon Amarth
Puscifer
Tool
Porcupine Tree
Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Lamb of God
Gojira
Machinehead
Storm Corrosion
and many more...lol
I'm going to pick up the new tenacious d album on the 15 when I get my diablo 3 CE. Two epic things on same day.

Exactly this. Gotta get the full legit experience, I have way too much admiration and appreciation for the musicians Blizz gets into their Big Three franchises. Huge nostalgia and fondness of many many in-game tunes, so after hearing it all and really letting it sink it, I'll go through phases where I'll listen to other stuff, and then back to the game, then other stuff, etc.
I actually have been working daily this week listening to classic sound player on battle.net. All the diablo songs its amazing coding music
Have you sacrificed a goat today?

Says the person on a website for a game called "Diablo"

I just wish it was more orchestral like LoD's soundtrack.

Some parts of the game will have that orchestral feel i suppose
Probably listen to the ingame music throughout normal, and then listen to other stuff if I feel like it isnt ideal.

Opeth's acoustic stuff is looking like it's gonna be my soundtrack for nightmare and we'll see about hell/inferno.

Edit: Forgot to mention Tool/APC!!
GWAR - Scumdogs of the Universe
Bad Religion - All Ages
The Prodigy - my collection

Will all have a sloppy wet playlist made up to change the music mood for my destructive gameplay.
...and substitute my own:

Diabolical Masquerade
Summoning
Immortal
Kampfar
Windir
Burzum
Elffor
Limbonic Art
Old Man's Child
Dimmu Borgir
Dissection

Not heavy enough.

People only listen to that song ironically though, right?

RIGHT!?
First playthrough, I will def enjoy the original music for D3.
Then I will most likely jump to

Architects
Converge
Of Legends
Dillinger Escape Plan

In a perfect world.

Did you really just try to spin it like that? The beta music was pretty disappointing imo
I am all about in game music, ambience and and sound effects. But from the beta I am not completely sold on the new D3 music. I know it was just a small sample though.
