Error 12 (no license attached??)

I just got my account seperated from my bf's account and had the annual pass before seperation. I DL'ed the game from my account but when I try to log on it says "This account does not have a Diablo III license attached to it (Error 12)" am I supposed to have something else to activate this or what do I need to do to get this resolved?
