Error 12 in the US

I am reviving an error 12 that states that I do not have the Diablo III license. I purchased the retail box and added the license to my battlenet account as seen here http://i.imgur.com/GhAXX.jpg

Is this a known issue or do I have to get this fixed by support?
I'm having the same problem. Bought my copy from Amazon and it gives me error 12 when attempting to connect to the Americas realm. When I set the account to use Europe though it connects. I'm hesitant to use that realm given I'd essentially loose whatever progress I have assuming I can't migrate toons between realms when I'd want to use Americas once the issue is resolved.

Also got mine from Amazon, also error 12, shows global in my bnet acct, and have america's chosen in game.
same problem here.

now just hit refresh on this thread until a blue tells us to select Americas as our region, even though we already did. We obviously didn't select it hard enough. Our fault
