Play public at your own risk.

General Discussion
Blizzard, and especially Diablo are notorious for ignoring hackers. The Diablo team may actually be in cahoots with hackers. There is no attempt on Blizzard's part to even slow down the hacking that awaits players using public games.

Imagine how bad it will get if/when PvP and Real Money AH gets implemented. Diablo was famously pro hacking during the first two versions, and shows no signs of changing with Diablo III.

Do you think for a second that using any form of Real Money AH will be risk free? Are you willing to lose your bank, credit card account, and savings to just to buy some pixels?

Public games are almost unplayable do to all of the hacking going on. Do you believe that the developers were unaware of the hacking possibility, or the probable scale of the problem before the game went live?
Nobody is hacking public games, and if you had half a brain you wouldn't have to worry about being hacked at all.

Source?

Otherwise stop posting garbage.
Blizzard is not in cahoots with the "hackers, and there is zero risk to your account when joining a public game. If someone phished your password then your account is at risk whether you join a public game or not.
