Waiting for stores to stock the new motherboards that fix that stupid USB 3.0 bug for the new Intel CPUs. Once that is done, I will upgrade the rest of my specs. The new GPU and HDD are already in use.
Even though my CPU is going on 3-years, it's still pretty fast. Chilled water cooling allows me to overclock it to 4.2 GHz.

Not really. Both Blue and Black can have 64MB caches. Black has extra stuff that makes its read/write faster and is more durable for compute intense tasks like heavy gaming.

It goes to reliability as well.

I've seen numerous blue WD drives fail. They might outlast their 2-year warranty period.

The black drives have a 5-year warranty. I have replaced at least 100 hard drives both lap and desktop) with WD blacks and not one has failed as far as I know.
I'll remember that when I upgrade to a 2tb
