One bit of that feedback was that info shared in other places wasn't being posted to the forums. I'm trying to change that. This wasn't an "official" announcement as much as it was a comment from Ben. It is a comment towards topics heavily discussed here, so I wanted to make sure it was seen.

Can you please at least post the link to the actual comment? And are there other comments circulating that aren't being re-posted here? Maybe you can link those too. That'd be helpful, for me anyway. Thanks.

Any update on ladder reset changes every month and class ban requests?
I sure hope they nerf warlocks and priest to the ground, couse they deserve it. I think everyone is sick queing into them over and over and over again either being in standard or in wild it doesnt matter, they dominate both with there overpowered decks

Warlock is absolutely fine. Cube is a problem but the core warlock cards are totally fine

Fair points on Wild. There are some cool ideas in the works. I'll see if I can get you guys some updates that can be shared.

It appears that what we were discussing last week about the lack of communication on their official site wasn't addressed at all as we were relayed information from Jesse once again instead of anyone else from Team 5.

In those same discussions, I also said it wouldn't happen overnight. Things have a process and change does take time.

Doing what I can to improve, just gotta work with me while we get there. :)

The community manager is a blizzard employee, that’s more than good enough for me. I’m happy for all blizzard replies to come through the community manager if that’s how it ends up, as I’m sure are most of the forum.

Keep up the good work, this is much better reading on the forum the last few days.

Thank you, sir. I see it was from Tweeter. It's nice sometimes to see the full context of the comment and any responses. Are there more comments from the developers in other 3 party outlets? It'd be nice to have a thread here on the official forums that would consolidate all those comments with links to the source. Then we could just come here and get the info, and click the link if we want the full context. Jessie, is that something you could set up for us? That'd be really great. Thanks.

Greetings everyone!

As balance is a common topic on the forums here, I just wanted to make sure everyone saw the comment put out by Ben. :)

"Been reading discussions about card balance; we have an update coming next month which will include some cool events, and that is when any balance changes would happen. We'll be sure to announce any changes as the patch gets closer. See you at the HCT World Championship next week!"
- Ben Brode

So, what are your thoughts on what could be coming? Who is excited for HCT World Championships? Anyone going to be in Amsterdam to attend? Would love to hear your thoughts!

P.S.
Remember, keep it civil ;)

How about you look at this and put an end to it? https://hsreplay.net/replay/PtVGTvQKBtUmSXhcnF2MB8

Your game is F2P. If you don't like F2P players, then change it to P2P. If you are going to continue to manipulate RNG, eventually there will be nobody playing your game.

It's not a matter of "learn to play" or "you're just having bad luck". It's a matter of seeing streamers who play the same or similar decks the exact same way as I do, yet because I haven't paid for a deck in 4 months, your generation algorithm completely excludes me from winning a single game while your preferred player (using the same deck and playing the same way as I do) is ranked 4000 legend. We ALL know your manipulations are not limited to this specific deck or a specific class, it's specific players and every single deck they play. Hearthstone now has a reputation to precede itself. A simple Google check is all it takes to see exactly what the Heathstone reputation is. "Rigged" "Poorly Rigged" "Imbalanced". "TOXIC".

I can guarantee if you stopped rigging the game you would have higher retention and people wouldn't hesitate to start spending again.

Blizzard rigged the game by forcing you to throw the game on turn 5 by playing double pint-sized before discovering?

Which streamers are you watching that play turn 5 like that? You know you have shadow word death in your deck, which answers his scalebane quite nicely. Yet you just throw away all your mana on a double pint-sized before you discover, so when you get the death you can't play it. And then you whine that the game is rigged?

Always discover/draw first (baring fringe scenarios involving daring reporter, etc.)
Just wanted to salute the "here's what others have said in places not here" effort. Keep that stuff up, please.
Priest DK is not a problem in itself. Nor is Raza. But the one-turn-kill from this combo is a major problem. The singleton condition is not enough. Priest has too much tools to stall the game until they it the combo. There should be a limit to the number of hero powers when in DK form
One gripe...REMOVE MAGES {0} INFINITE FIREBALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡

Civil Enough for you?

Thank me later when your community doesn’t quit your game for this terrible failure of a deckbuild that utilizes and idolizes exploitation of the turn timers. Quite opposite of the “Spirit of Hearthstone” Brode loves to talk about so much...*scoff*

Jessie, is that something you could set up for us? That'd be really great. Thanks.

I think that is a solid idea! I'll see what I can do :)
If I had to go for nerfs I d point these ones:

Patches: The card is clearly a big mistake. Even if it rotates next expansion it ll create lots of problems in wild. The problem in this meta is not corridor creeper (as many people suggest) but patches. Creepers fine imo.

Priest: Again it doesn't matter if many op priest cards rotate next expansion, priest creates a lot of problems in wild. Also if aggro is to be nerfed then control needs to be nerfed as well so that balance exists. My main target here would be razakus. How exactly can it be balanced im not sure about that.....

Also basic/ classic cards should be left alone
A good recommendation for Brode and team 5: add some damn interaction and card disruption FFS. There are too many OTK, broken combos and snowball cards that cannot be disrupted because you cannot even play cards during the opponents turn.

The game is ultra casual and simplistic, I get that game design. But the more broken cards you keep printing for the sake of hyping up expansions, the more dumb the game gets. If you value money making over quality games, then just keep doing what you always do: react 6 months too late and keep contradicting your statements about wanting "fun, varying meta" or "we don't like charge and otk yet keep encouraging such archetypes".

Less hypocrisy, more competence please
Hunter's card-draw, for not-face-Hunters, really could use some examining.

What do you suggest for Hunter's to use to draw cards if we want to play a unique Hunter deck, such as non-face Hunter or non-turn-5 Spellstone Hunter that's expected when secrets are played?

Do you suggest forcing in Starving Buzzard at 5 mana? Or use Tracking with the chance of losing key end-game cards in our end-game not-face deck? Flare at 1-mana would be 'ok', Warden means diluting your deck with several 1-drops...

Thanks!

To be fair, Tracking doesn't actually lose you any cards, unless you plan on drawing 29 or more cards throughout the game, and I just don't see that in a Control Hunter's game plan.

But yeah, it would be nice if Hunter had a different (viable) archetype for a change. But they'd have to get pretty creative to make something that didn't just fit nicely into an aggressive deck with lots of reach.

The sad thing is that Hunter card draw could have been achieved very easily, by simply swapping the Hunter and Mage Legendary weapon powers and balancing the Mana costs.

This would give Hunter card draw (which players have often said they need) and the minion-less deck they wanted to implement would be with Mages, a class that players generally associate with lots of spell use (and not with Hunter a class generally associated with minions/beasts).

Additionally, the weapon effect of filling your hand with random spells would fit in with the 'Casino Mage' randomness that a lot of mage cards have.

But there you go, they gave Shaman a spear as a legendary weapon, and I believe that shamans don't actually use spears in World Of Warcraft (probably because they took one look at The Runespear and foreswore using a spear ever again).

But thats just my humble opinion.

I can only see this happen if they change Hunter's hero power as the hero power makes them more aggressive in nature. It kinda bottlenecks the class a bit.
Every single minion that either costs 0 mana, creates big minions for free, or pulls big minions for free, out of your deck... HAS GOT TO GO.

The cheat meta HAS GOT TO GO.

We all hated a 1/1 being pulled from decks for free.... how did Blizzard think we'd feel about free Deathwings, Voidlords, etc etc etc....
Why don’t you just announce whatever bad ideas you’re about to unleash upon us and save all this wasted speculation time?
