Ever have one of those days...

Play Mode Discussion
...where it seems like you just can't catch a break?

Of course you have. We all have.

You get bad draw after bad draw, and every deck you face feels ridiculously strong compared to yours. Meanwhile, it seems like your opponents all draw perfectly to the curve every time.

Today's been one of those for me.

*Rogue's down to 6 health, he pops two Healbots, and I've got no response because my card-draw drops are still MIA at turn 10.

*Druid on turn one throws down a minion, coins, and buffs it to a 3/5, then drops a 1/6 taunt on turn two. I mulliganed and best I got was an Arcane Missile.

*Amara priest completes the quest by turn seven and still manages to remove every single minion I've dropped. I might as well be AFK.

Played 29 games this morning, lost 18 of them. Me on a fun but decidedly non-meta Aggro Secret Mage, opponents on the usual hunters (6), paladins (5), rogues (5), and assorted others.

Finally just gave up.

Now I'm sitting here nursing my bruised feels and contemplating going - gasp! - OUTSIDE.

Break will do me some good, and the game will look a little friendlier when I go back.

Yeh I get that.

I am rank 6, 5 stars for the umpteenth time.. I go on a 7 win streak, then lose enough to drop back to rank 9.. Win streak lose streak..

2 months into hearthstone and I have had final boss syndrome at level 18, 15, 12, 8amd now 6.. Determined to get to rank 5 but damn..

That last win that I need I Always draw baku on the mulligan, and my opponent gets the perfect card on curve.. Frustrating but its the game I guess.
Aggro Secret Mage? Oh man, I play a similar deck, and I totally feel you.

Some days, I’ll play a junk secret while vulnerable to AoE just to get them to waste the coin checking for Counterspell, only for them to play their Hellfire without checking and guessing right. Other days, I draw all my Kabal Lackeys and Kirin Tor Mages but none of my Secrets, or sometimes I draw only Secrets and can’t budge until turn 3. Still other times, I’ll play a Mad Scientist and it’ll prop up Explosive Runes, which perfectly sets up a Warlock’s Possessed Lackey.

...But it’s all worth it for the odd day where you get to Potion of Polymorph a Void Lord.
You have my utmost sympathy. That was two days ago for me.

If you're anything like me, nothing anyone says will help either, so I'm sending burger/beers your way in spirit XD

Don´t do it, it´s a trap!
Yes all the time. Like just the other day I had a bunch of Paladin Quests in my queue so I went to Tavern Brawl because Thekal deck is really good there. For 10 straight games I didn't draw a single buff or card under 4 mana so by the time I could do something I was at single digit life and my opponent had a full board. Meanwhile my opponents that were playing the same deck popped off with turn 1 1 drop into potion of heroism to draw 2 on turn 2 then turn 3 into 3 1 mana buffs on turn 3 into lethal turn 4.

I'm pretty much in maintenance mode right now and browsing the play store for something else.

I keep dropping to 20 and I keep running into control. I scrounged up enough dust to craft Oondasta but after a quest priest shuffled my entire deck into theirs, I conceded. I think I've reached the peak of fun in this game for me.

Midrange/Aggro/Tempo are all fun to me. Hunter is my favorite class and they are all the most hated. Even the forum itself lacks intelligent discussion about the game. Unfortunately, I get bored and the playstore is lacking in good games I enjoy.

I feel very stuck and it isn't a pleasant feeling.
Oof. I was playing with my Secret Hunter deck, and I went SO MANY turns with no secrets at all, two games in a row! I had my Spellstones in hand, but nothing to charge them up!

I switched to my Shirvallah Paladin deck, and I had one win, so that cheered me up a bit. Then I decided to stop for the night.
Playing lots of Prelate/Lynessa paladin. I have mostly low cost cards, but still end up getting the worst possible draw. Sometimes I get all my expensive cards in the early game, other times both my Spikeridge Steed are literally in the last 6 cards. I have had so many games recently that I managed to stick it out drawing down to 6-10 cards only to lose because somehow the 4 cards I need are literally at the bottom of my deck.

This meta is also really frustrating. I'll run into a lot of aggro and tune a deck to anti-aggro. Sure enough, I run into a bunch of combo decks that I don't have enough threat to actually kill.

Now I've made some meme decks and have learned to take the game less seriously again.

I HATE it when that happens. Are you running Secret Plans? They help a ton.
I had that yesterday.

Just quit when it happens. It never gets better.
Lucky, wish I had 3 hours of free time in the morning.. Although I can't imagine wasting all that time playing hearthstone. I'd personally rather play slots for 3 hours at a casino instead of wasting time playing slots in hearthstone.

I have one Secret Plan in my deck. Maybe I should figure out a way to squeeze another in, too. :-)
