coin even as expansion card is very powerfull for rogue. for combo's like vilespine,si7,edwin,minstrel. For malygos combo, draw with auctioneer. Counterfit coin was one of best cards rogues got from meanstreats if not most powerfull.

I wouldn't consider it as the "most powerful" card for Rogues, not even close. In fact, it's the minions that are just really really good, any cheap spell can work with it.

Having an extra mana is nice for Auctioneer, but again, it's Auctioneer that is a really powerful card, even after the nerf.

its not the most powerfull rogue card, but probbaly the most powerfull one out of mean Streets of gagadzan. And coin is important in rogue in general for combo. But from mean Streets the coin is probbaly the best card of the expansion they got, certainly at time.
Give it a some time Fireball being a Basic card means it will be nerfed because when ever you make a Burn Style Agro Mage Fireball is a go to card for damage and since its Basic and will be in every deck it makes sense in until the end of time it will be nerfed to sell more packs. Just like they nerfed other random things in Classic/Basic sets for being in every deck when and where they made sense.

Best Rogue card from Meanstreet? And that's supposed to make it a good card? Meanstreet Rogue set was horrible. The best Rogue deck I remember was a Pirate Rogue, because just like Grimy Goon classes, the class set was just that bad, including the coin.

There is a reason why Jade's strongest classes were Shaman and Druid. And not Rogue. Because it was a horrible set, and the coin being the best just shows how bad the set actually was for Rogue.

The Coin is/was a good card for miracle Rogue. And again coin is strong for Rogue in general.
Is far from a bad card.
If You think coin is bad You dont know Rogue.

let's not overexagerate.

coin was "ok". nothing spectacular, nothing terrible.

even the lists that run it back then 90% of the time just run 1 of it. And now in wild there's almost zero rogue lists that run it.

so, comparatively with other cards that you can put in competitive rogue decks it wasn't that special.

it was one of the best rogue cards of MSoG but that doesn't say much since the set was horrible powerwise for the class (flavorwise, jade rogue is still my favorite deck, although it's really just a bad jade deck powerwise)

and that comes from an almost exlusive rogue player who used to hit legend back in MSoG (not anymore since i quit after ung)
They should really change it to "Deal 4 damage. If you have 12 or less Health, deal 6 instead and destroy a minion damaged this way"

There. No ridiculous 7 or 8 face damage which is clearly the reason they didn't up it to such a value, yet isn't significantly worse than Fireball anymore. Nor is it better than Assassinate, thanks to the health limitation, only destroys something it damages (Divine Shield bypasses it for instance), and having to have it damage the minion you want to destroy can be disadvantageous depending on which minion you use it on.
