EDIT - HE'S COMING, THEY ACTUALLY DID IT, THE MADMEN!

For the sake of tl:dr, I've put my opening words into the second post.

Let's begin.

This is a concept, wishlist and an idea/event proposal.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR WISHES, THOUGHTS AND PERSONAL IDEAS DOWN BELOW.
Contents.

New Maps: Plaguewing of Naxxramas and Stratholme

New Hero: Kel'Thuzad, Archlich of the Scourge, Lord of Naxxramas / Majordomo of the Lich King. First Darkmaster of the Scholomance and founder of the Cult of the Damned.
Assassin or Specialist. (Hydromancy, Shado-... DEATH AND DECAY, Necromancy)

New Hero: Varimathras, Dreadlord of the Burning Legion / Majordomo of Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen. Brother of Balnazzar and Detheroc.
Assassin or disruptive Support. (TALONS, Bats, Hypnotism and FEL MAGIC!)

Heroes: Arthas/Lich King model and ability rework. Anub'arak, talent tuning or ability rework. Re-recorded audio with Steve Blum, featuring the villain's original, memorable and iconic voice.

Skins:
Master Kel'Thuzad.
Lil' K.T.

Master Varimathras.
Recolours to match Balnazzar and Detheroc.
Dreadlord Jaina cosplay (I kid).

San'layn, Blood Prince Kael'thas.
Warcraft 3 Necromancer Xul. (Classic violet, green and black/blue colours.)
Tirion Fordring/Ashbringer Uther.
Patchwerk Butcher.
Death Knight Varian.
Val'kyr Auriel.

Mount: Invincible, dreadsteed of Arthas.

Map concept: Plaguewing of Naxxramas. The map is set within the eerie, slime-covered and blighted interior of Naxxramas, specifically the plaguewing where all sorts of foul alchemy is being conducted, the brewing of the plague of undeath and foul monstrosities spawning as a bi-product.
Each Core is made up of a brewing Plague Cauldron. To win, one side needs to render the other's unstable by fighting over objectives, once destabilizied the weakened side's defenses will be covered in slime and disabled for a period. Heigan the Unclean (Yes, the dancemancer!) will spawn as a boss which when defeated will either destabilize a plague cauldron or act akin to a Diablo map Punisher with a bit of necro-techno! Destroy the plague cauldron to win, splashing facemelting ooze everywhere!

Map concept: Stratholme. Balnazzar's Scarlet Crusade vs Baron Rivendare's undead. Set in the scourged city of Stratholme, half of the map is themed around the Scarlet Crusade while the other is themed around the Scourge. The Cores are made up of the Scarlet Keep and the Slaughterhouse, each side is protected by a barrier. A bright one made of holy light for the crusaders and an eerie, green and unholy one for the undead. This map is similar to Dragonshire in which there would be two objectives to control: A ziggurat and a chapel of the light - control over both objectives would lower the barrier of the enemy, rendering their core and keeps vulnerable for attack and be subjected to the passive barrage of spirit bolts coming from the necropolis, Naxxramas looming above.

This would be an amazing HotS update and event where some of the most iconic themes and adventures have taken place in the Warcraft setting. Wanted skins themed around it, patchwerk butcher would be similar to Stitches in appearance. Imagine a match with two abominations with Stitches and Butcher's unique playstyles.

Other ideas: Alexandros Mograine, of the Four Horsemen would also be a great future hero. Warrior or Assassin.
Always mounted(At least visually) Ultimate: The Four Horsemen, which would unleash the remaining 3 horsemen as a form of forward moving aoe attack. Ashes to Ashes, single target damage/disorientation using the corrupted/Ashbringer.

Epic/Legendary skin: The Ashbringer, his original and holy self. Epic skin: Baron Rivendare, lord of Stratholme and successor-leader of the Four Horsemen.
Kel'Thuzad is my all-time favourite Blizzard character, and I'm a huge fan of Warcraft and of The Scourge faction within its setting. I figured I'd share a wishlist and idea of mine for Heroes of the Storm from closed alpha testing of HotS, perhaps the devs and creators will be inspired or even baited into sharing some of their own plans with us?!

Thank you for reading, share your thoughts and ideas!
With Blizzcon over and little mention of our favourite Archlich appearing anytime soon, I got inspired to pen down a wishlist of mine for Heroes of the Storm.

Shoutout to Phill Gonzales for teasing me with K.T's progress via Reddit over the years, looking forward to your, and fellow collegues' completed work! Just don't make the archlich a support or I'LL FREEZE THE BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS! </3
Great idea

Great idea

Thanks, anything you'd like to see implemented or wish for during an event update akin to this?
Interesting idea, though a small nitpick which is not actually connected to the idea. You emboldend the T at this point.

It looks wrong.
I wouldn't mind this, and I do like the idea of Kel'thuzad and [Insert Dreadlord here] being added to the game. If they did this, though, they would need to frame it with other universe character if they want to minimize community backlash.

Well, we've had Starcraft and Diablo events, a Warcraft one teamed around the Undead would be superb! I'm sure we'll be seeing more Zerg, Terran and Protoss characters in the future, along with two Prime Evils and some Angels as well.

One can hope. And I meant that the character releases around this event would be other universe characters. That way, Diablo/Starcraft fans will be happy when they announce a Warcraft event.

Aha, I suppose so! I imagine this kind of update would've been nice around Halloween or towards the next winter. Leaving room for spring and summer to introduce some additional Diablo and Starcraft characters, such as Fenix and the two Prime Evils.
I'm pretty sure Blizzard said that they'd be making events smaller, that the Diablo event was too long. If even half of this event were to happen, it'd make the SC event seem even more minuscule by comparison.

Lord knows the event was too short as it is. Making a Warcraft event nearly 3 times as large is just rubbing salt in the wound.

That being said, I like the idea.

Hey the Starcraft one came with two cool new maps as well, along with heroes and skins immediately followed up by Halloween stuff! ^^
You know if Mephisto was announced with this event it would be a easy way for the Diablo universe to be involved considering this guy is basically a floating skeleton before the WoW lichs came to be.

Hrngh, Mephisto is my second Blizzard favourite!
Here's how we do it... Mephisto skin of Kel'thuzad and Kel'thuzad skin for Mephisto!
I am trying really hard to think of a Kel'thuzad skin besides Lil' K.T<
Mephisto was a joke, hrmh.., a classic, Dungeons and Dragons Liche perhaps? Y'know, less Nerubian/Egyptian ornaments and more classic fantasy tropes?

As for Varimathras, dunno. Some kind of monster variations, akin to the dragon knight? Since Diablo has both Murloc and Godzilla forms for instance.
A DnD lich skin huh? that can work though best downplay its name and design abit even if a concept the DnD owners might go berserk about it similar to gamesworkshop, and I think for the 'insert dreadlord here' hero skin what about the holy variant? they exist as of the release of Legion in the paladin and possibly priest campaigns in the game remove things like the trademark carrion swarm and have holy burst possibly like uthers radiance but less radiant.
Hey thought i would post this here to of my idea of what i would wish Kel'thuzad abilities be like =D enjoy

Well, DnD Liches are basically the universal archetype and now classic portrayal, both visually and ability wise in the settings they might appear in. An ancient zombiefied or skeletal wizard/necromancer who floats around in tattered robes of medieval and regal design.

Otherwise, there's always the new Inquisitor demon which are basically lesser, Lichlike beings which serve as spellcasters, loreseekers and torturers for the Legion.

Why a one-note like Varimathras and not Mal'ganis?
Isn't Kel'thuzad kinda stepping on Xul's toes? Although I love necromancers and lichs so having two would be fine with me.
Maybe have him be a huge debuffer with a possible minion focused build. Must work well with Arthas.
I see him more as a support and specialist. Maybe Necromancy defeated heroes?
