'Just let them win'

General Discussion
Here is the logic of HOTS MM.

SO i have matched 3 platinum 4, 2 platinum 5, 2 platinum 3 players and have 3 players still doing placement games.
...Hmm...
Lets put 3 unranked in one team with 2 platinum 5 players !

But since they are disadvantaged, lets give them less MMR deduction if they lose ! That will make everyone happy ! ^_^

And now replace rank with MMR numbers.
If you have a teammate dc at the beginning of the match and never reconnect, I would say that.
It will be simple time wasting at that point.

but its so snowbaaaaaalyyyyyyyyyyyyy

This is the reason. It was not that often before the mechanic update 2018 but now games are that quick that People do it more often than ever before.
Comebacks happen. Rarely.. but when they do, it feels great.
On Towers of Doom our core was at 1, theirs was at 22.
6 minutes later, we won.

We all didn't think it was going to happen.. but it did.
I hate when people give up right away. Just keep trying! Who knows?
Given how !@#$ing trash quickmatch has been lately. Yes. If the enemy team has a 3 or 4+ level lead on you, you're %^-*ed. That's common since they somehow !@#$ed quickmatch. Almost every %^-*ing match is a stomp win or lose. 4man groups with proper comps are getting put against trashbag comps of 5 pugs. It's !@#$, and people will get %^-*ty.
I’d rather have a bad player who try to win over those whiny !@#$heads who cry GG during the first 5 minutes of the game.

The game ain’t over until a core is destroyed. Now there’s personal score too, so there’s absolutely no reason to give up, unless you’re one of those pathetic losers.
As long as there are matchmaking rules that allow say 3specs vs 3 assassins in QM, there will be gg from the start.

I know there are plenty of idiots who keep repeating that "the games is not over until the core is dead" but if those same idiots looked at the statistics of comebacks from 5 forts down. They would realize it's less than 1%. But that's why idiots will stay idiots and will repeat the same mantra.

I’ve won with 5 specialists against a balanced team more than once.
It's a loser's mentality. Giving up at the first obstacle. It doesn't help with this game, it doesn't help in life in general.
Its not always giving up.. but accepting whats to come.
I was a bit snarky a few games ago telling my team to soak top lane. 4 were mid chasing 3 enemies while bottom and top were being soaked by the enemy and i was bot lane. 2 levels down lv 6 to 4. team: "chill.. its early they dont even have a kill" End game lv 16 to 13 as we were steam rolled after they hit 10 and we were only 8.

If you are behind early game its GG as you will always be behind now. coming back is 10x harder so dont lose on any xp.

snowballing is out of control.

Of course you did, anything is possible in bronze.

Ah, I love replies like these. When you run out of arguments or valid points you turn to insults to prove that I was right after all. Thanks mate.

Argument? Provide a high-level game (HGC or anything at master/gm level) where a team of 5 specs wins. It's pretty simple, at lower levels people have little map awareness and specs can just split push. In higher level play they will get punished over and over. You think there is a reason why in any HGC games people not only pick rounded comps but also play meta? Name one game where a team went 5 specs/assassins/healers/etc. So yeah, you are likely silver/bronze where anything can work.

And it wasnt an insult, just an assessment of level of play. "Anything goes" is very typical for bronze-low gold. Pretty much any comp can win. Not really the case once you get to diamond+.
I'm sorry, but if its 5 minutes into a match and my team has one bot, one squishy always getting ganked for being too far forward, and a warrior who does nothing but lane, then yea my mentality is gonna be to just let them win. I've had so many games follow this trend that I know without a shadow of a doubt it is not a game that is going to be won no matter how much wishful thinking I throw at it. I would much rather get into the next game where (hopefully) I'll have some competent allies. Dragging out a game upon the illusion of "pulling off a win" is doing nothing but wasting my sometimes rather limited time to play the game.
Honestly, I've been that guy before but never after 1 battle unless I see clear tell signs that my team was out of their MMR bracket...and to this day I've only been wrong about it once despite trying even if I think the game is lost...and that one time I apologized and said gg wp I'm eating humble pie tonight!
The game is completely unplayable right now. Blizzard managed to make the match maker even worse than it already was.

I went 2-8 in my placements today, and I dropped from Diamond to Gold. !@#$ing 8 games lost dropped me two whole %^-*ing tiers. This game is absolute trash right now. Every game is a stomp, players of all different levels of skill are being grouped together, buildings are a joke, and it's extremely snowbally. Unbelievable that they managed to make the game worse than it already was.
What really annoyed me was not the one who just said GG and gave up, is purposely make losing come true by intentionally feeding
never give up
...

I’ve seen both Grubby and Mewnfare play GM team and Hero league where they decided to go in with one role many times and won.

Earlier this year there was a match where Trikslyr and Mewnfare gathered a team each with only GM and professional players. The full support team completely destroyed the balanced team with only meta picks :)

And no, not bronze or silver. Rank 1 player who have been consecutively placed in plat/diamond and climbed to master most seasons.

It isn’t all about having meta picks (pro play can’t even be considered as it is at whole other level than what any other player play at), but making the right decisions.

Accusing players of being at at a low rank because they have an opinion isn’t rare to see. Just because it works now and then doesn’t mean it’s good or something that should be played regularly.

What I was saying is that I’ve seen it at many levels of play. Don’t give up solely based on comps. Even the weirdest comps can win, even at grand master level hero league.
