Deathwing!

Hero and Skin Suggestions
Get a "Spine of Deathwing" map right after BfA comes out.
not a suggestion we'll take. We do not need a map like that. Deathwing WILL be in his dragon form for ALL of his fighting.[/quote]

Did you forget that Deathwing ripped Azaroth a new one in his Dragon Form? did you forget that he caused the Cataclysm in his Dragon Form? Did you forget that it took 3 shots from the Dragon Soul to kill Deathwing in his Dragon Form? Deathwing is way to overpowered to be a playable Hero in Heroes of the Storm and if they balance him to be playable in Heroes of the Storm he will be so underpowered compared to the WoW Deathwing that it will make people mad. Deathwing is a great character don't think of this as me hating him far from it, I'm just saying he will tick people off for either being overpowered or underpowered, there can be no in between. Best thing to do if you want Deathwing in Heroes is to have a map inspired by him. Deathwing can not be balanced without making people mad about him being overpowered or underpowered.
Still another dragon who is actually constantly in his standard dragon form would be nice. Maybe Deathwing, or maybe someone else. Currently we only have Brightwing. She is the only dragon who is not shapeshifted. I get that if they used their normal size they would be too large for the game. But so would Azmodan, Sgt. Hammers siege tank, Diablo 3 Butcher etc.
They managed to scale their size down so they fit in the game. Should work with a dragon too.
Blizzard mentioned in an Q&A that Alex's dragon model was the absolute largest model they could implement without breaking the game.

To me, that definitely implies that Blizzard are testing the waters for how Deathwing could be added without being shrunk too much, while still being able to move and path properly.
Yeah but still scaling down the model is fine. They don't have to be huge. Just take a look at sgt. hammer or azmodan. They are a lot smaller compared to how large they would actually be. That could work just fine with any dragon too.
Yeah but.. I sincerely hope they do not make him like Alex with a human form, dragon form all day, just scale him down, still would be bigger than anyone but not too big like Alex' dragon form.

Yes exactly. Technically we have 3 dragons in HotS at the moment. But only Brightwing is dragon always. Another one who would be always dragon would be nice.

Brightwing is a Faire Dragon, entirely different then the Dragon Aspects.
Also malygos, ysera, and nozdormu would be nice. (Tho we already have chromie so IDK about ol' nozzy)
i think it would be better to have a map based around him. to me hes to much of a grand character and would be too similar to other heroes. would rather inovation then another clone of other heroes. map can be where both sides need to take on death wing who changes position on the map. team fights will happen often and deathwing will be a powerful foe
Considering they're opening the doors on hero replacement skins again (drek'thar rehgar and vannader muradin) but also making them able to be map objectives at the same time now we might get the Cataclysm Dragonsoul map which is the aspects vs Deathwing probs mostly Alex v Deathwing if they use the hero > core thing again or a chromatic combination of them but still its a good thing there.
give me 1 real reason why u want deathwing

Ooh I really like that idea as a aspect vs aspect (tho Alex is a bit weaker than Neltharion) but it is still very cool. I would look forward to playing that map. Maybe it could be night elves vs legion for like the first war and deathwing temporarily joins the legions side because Alex supports the nelves?

give me 1 real reason why u want deathwing

Sure I'll give you more than 1.

1. He's a pretty popular request. So much so that right before HoTS 2.0 there was heavy speculation of his arrival to the Nexus. Not only will it make plenty of people happy, it's also a good business decision by Blizz.

2. Living out the "destroy everything" fantasy dragons have in fiction. Especially Deathwing. This game is meant to be fun. It isn't meant to be a 1:1 ratio of powerlevel from their respective stories. The whole "But he too powerful!" argument is old and tired and there are plenty of ways around it.

3. The potential for a really cool event. Deathwing can shake up the Nexus big time. Maybe even a Cataclysm themed bg. Or maybe new skins or mounts. Or hell, all of the above.

The only valid argument for not adding Deathwing is that other franchises should get more representation first. All the other arguments can be refuted with "The Nexus works in mysterious ways, as stated, and size and power can shift inside it." and "Yeah balance is something to worry about, but that goes for ANY hero they add. Not just Deathwing."

Edit: I suppose one other valid argument would be "He'd serve better as a bg itself" and I'm neutral to this argument. It has pros and cons. On one hand it would be cool, on the other it eliminates one hero to be added. At least without it being mega weird.

u gave me 0 real reasons

for example i can give u real reasons to add spirit walker hero(or some other random hero)
1.)
spirit link ability is needed in hots
burst is the meta and spirit link counters 1 target burst damage
2.)
he will make brightwing great again
brightwing is trash support (atleast on master league where i play)
spirit link +bw can be just insane
3.)
double support meta can be with spirit walker hero back again
i mean full support + 1/2 support because he will be for sure support or 1/2 sup if they ever release him
4.)
no stupid conditions like deathwing
hes a dragon(fckin big)
hes flying(make him global?)
hes a dragon who can destroy everything (another broken hero?)
in the end... they make him non-broken but he wont be baddas like "holywood" ppl saw him in cataclysm cinematic
ppl will cry about his spell kit/role because u cant say what role he should be
specialist? warrior? assassin? all sounds stupid

flying big !@# heroes doesnt even fit in game... i dont get why ppl want him
he will bring nothing good for hots
ppl just want him because hes baddas (same with imperius -> they dont want baal/mephisto but stupid imperius...)

Its not about, like you say "holywood" (it's Hollywood) badassness. Its about adding a character people like and enjoy, because that's what HOTS is all about isn't it ? Like Stormrage said Deathwing has been a popular request. No one expects Deathwing to enter Nexus and be OP, badass dragon taking half of a battleground with his size. HOTS development team did a good job implementing characters from all Blizz universes into one game, hell even heroes from Overwatch which is a shooter game made it into HOTS, so why would't Deathwing fit into all of this ? Why hate the idea of adding him so much ? You gave an example of a random hero, but there is no random heroes in HOTS.

u gave me 0 real reasons

Actually I did. Just because you don't think they are real doesn't make it so. Economic incentive and fun are actually the BEST reasons for a video game like this. Sorry but you're just wrong on this one.

for example i can give u real reasons to add spirit walker hero(or some other random hero)
1.)
spirit link ability is needed in hots

Okay. But my reasons are still better than these. Here's the thing, you could do the same thing with Deathwing.

You didn't read anything I said it seems. But you're so dead set in your belief Deathwing can't be in that you throw away logic. Not only did I cover the size and power but I covered general balance. It's something to worry about for ANY hero you add. And roles are getting a rework anyway. Look, you can totally balance Deathwing. Saying he's a special case because he's a dragon is absurd. Do we need to revisit Diablo's lore power again? Or are you going to say the voice actor change makes it not Diablo again? Hell, Artanis's heroic invokes the power of a ship that can literally destroy a planet in lore. But he somehow managed to be balanced. Weiiiird. Prime Evil Diablo is basically Tathamet, one of the primordial beings that's final blows with it's equal created the UNIVERSE/Big Bang. But yet Diablo still manages to be balanced. Weiiiiird. The Hyperion could literally put out way bigger than even modern day nukes out in terms of firepower but yet Raynor still manages to be balanced(Hell Raynor is considered UP). Weiiiiiiiiiird. It's almost like lore takes a back seat to gameplay. It's almost as if they could do the same to Deathwing.

flying big !@# heroes doesnt even fit in game... i dont get why ppl want him

ppl just want him because hes baddas (same with imperius -> they dont want baal/mephisto but stupid imperius...)

I want Baal and Mephisto in the game before Imperius too. But you still have yet to establish why Deathwing doesn't fit in game. I've debunked the argument that he need be super big or even have his full lore power. Your arguments against Deathwing are just not good because there is precedent to limit those. Not just for lore in the nexus but also gameplay purposes like plenty of other heroes.

Deathwing could bring plenty of good to the game. You just need more imagination on it. Deathwing was the Earthwarder. That comes with plenty of promise in a hero's kit.
Deathwing is a good idea for a hero. I think a tank class would fit him well. He is armored like a tank with those plates he attached to his body. I love the dragon form with Alexstraza and it would be cool to see a dragon form Deathwing fighting dragon form Alexstraza.

For DW's kit would need to have a dragon fire breath. All dragons should have some kind of dragon breath (looking at your Chrome!). Also, some armor ability would reflect his Wow character. One of his abilities would be "cataclysm". This ability would slow enemies and fissures would erupt to damage enemies.

New expansions and other new stuff across the Blizz assures that new characters will be made into heroes for Hots in order to cross channel market. I expect Anduin Wrynn to be made a new hero in the next few months to coordinate with Wow's next xpac launch. But we can always hope for DW.
For the last time, Deathwing RIPPED AZAROTH A NEW ONE IN CATACLYSM! In the exact same expansion he flies over the areas that you go to in Cata and breaths fire over the whole area killing everyone in it. He would do the exact same thing in Heroes and be completely overpowered. Him being in Heroes would tick off heroes fans because he would be overpowered or it will tick off anyone who either played Cata or has any care for the lore of World of Warcraft. He can not be added to the game without making people mad.
Ridley-wing TOO BIG.

Like Artanis has a ship he uses a heroic from in game that can vaporize a planet?
Or how Raynor has a ship that can fire out shots stronger than any current nuke irl?
Or how Prime Evil Diablo is the new Tathamet a being who's final energy started the big bang?
Or how about the Nephalem in game capable of beating that Prime Evil(Li Ming,Kharazim,Johana, Nazeebo,Sonya, Valla)
Or how normal Diablo is superior to Inarius who shook the planet with his fight in Sin War?
Or how about the Nephalem in game capable of beating that Diablo? (Xul and Cassia)
Or how about Arthas who is superior to Ner'zhul who destroyed an entire planet by opening up a bunch of portals
Or how Kerrigan can zerg up multiple planets and and destroy them pretty much like Deathwing?
Or how Gul'dan can summon planet destroying demons(Archimonde)?

Do you want me to go on? Because I can. Plenty of lore characters have powers or equipment that can do what Deathwing can. And Prime Evil Diablo already has lines in game that say he got weaker. Same can be said about Deathwing if you need to. If we go by lore, plenty of your complaints don't make much sense.

This whole "But he's powerful in game!" argument is getting pretty tiring. Especially since there are characters in game already who can do similar things. Even within the same universe lol.
