What kind of Ranked matchmaking is this?

I have dropped from Gold 2 to near Gold 5. I really do not think that this kind of matchmaking is acceptable; to lose 12 matches in a row says something about the way teammates and enemies are chosen against you.

I am frustrated not at the fact of losing, but for the fact that I cannot win a single match no matter what I try. I am a bit lost, to be honest. I am still having fun, somehow, but I am just kind of tired of losing.
as long as your life time win rate is above 50% this will happen

my record, 15games lost in a row
This MM is "Gold"
ok so you played Abathur for several of those matches... and expected to win? in HL??

Seriously you put a lot of weight on the remaining players. Like if they have to be "this" good in a 5, they have to be "extra this" in a 4 man.
1) good with positioning
2) good with decision making
3) good with skillshots
4) More coordinated with team.

The way this systems matchmaking is... often Blizzard gives you a couple of DUH players. The type who facecheck bushes and stuff.. like you will have your mouth drop open in Diamond and Master with these... so anything below is 10x worse than that. Then Aba has to be a very high APM hero.. otherwise just dont bother.

So below master.. Abathur is a VERY RISKY PICK. Actually even in Masters its not that good from the numbers. Overall Aba is a 44% win rate hero for a reason, he's too special... and forces 4 players to be extra good. You are counting on the other players to be THAT GOOD, and not salty about it too.

If you have just ONE! major Duh player in an Abathur match its automatic win for the other side. Sadly there are tons of those thanks to Blizzards system of putting really new and/or terrible players in Diamond. So whatever. Think about that before you draft Aba again. Nova would be a better pick.
You were the only common factor in all of those losses. Losing twelve in a row tells me that you probably aren't a gold player and you're dropping to you're true rank. I could be wrong though. Post some replays from that losing streak. I'm sure we will all clearly see that you are the standout player in these games being held back by his teammates.

The only people that hate being asked to provide proof of their claims are the ones that don't have it. The replays auto save and almost no-one deletes them right after every match.
Weekend.
It's terrible and the main thing I've noticed in my games is people wasting time and resources... just not engaging with anything, not doing camps, not defending lanes, not doing objectives etc. or there will be one person that tries to lane but goes too far and kills himself over and over... It's like every person on the team is playing a different game.
At least you had tank and support. Nowadays I'm suprised if we have heal tank and waveclear.
I feel sorry for your teammates, you apparently are overranked.
I just lost two more matches and have dropped to Gold 5.

I am not playing this again until the Matchmaking is reworked. It clearly is broken. That may be forever, knowing Blizzard.
Weird... it’s working for me.

Why not ask what you can do better? No one can help you by looking at your losses. There’s no data. What skill builds did you go? Did you first pick or last pick? How did you play in the match?

Posting a replay or something along those lines will help avoid this situation, although it does happen from time to time.

Glad you’re still having fun, but why not think about what you can do better instead of blaming others or mm?

Sorry, I facecheck every bush in Bronze, since the chance of a gank is virtually non-existent.
Working as intended.
@OP,

I had huge streaks repeating themselves when I forced certain roles on myself and my teammates.

After you lose couple of games in a row, your mindset starts changing and you are looking for patterns where there aren't any.

No matter the rank, tell your teammates to prepick their desired roles so you get better feeling who prefers what. Tell them what are you comfortable to play and tell them what do you think it's good for a map, what picks are must and who can fill them.

Check win rates of each player and suggest some picks. And last, try to propose good counterpick for your team.

I know it seems like a lot of work, but after doing it for awhile, it comes natural and it will insure you avoid ridiculous streaks. I assure you, your rank will stabilize if you are where you should be.

And stop obsessing with rank and focus on yourself, it will benefit you in a long run.
Don't expect wins if you don't tryhard and make 100% sure that you are not the source of the problem.

1. Forget Abathur in Gold. Expect <50% winrate for yourself.
2. BW and Falstad are situational picks. Solo support BW is not what is played currently. You picked Falstad twice on Tomb which is one of his worst maps. The map is so small there is no space for globals to shine.
3. You lost 4 times with Jaina. Jaina is a hard to play character which needs intense teamwork. Which is peeling and something you can follow up on. In general not a hero for gold as long as you aren't a Jaina master.

This is my recommendation for gold try harding:

Support: Rehgar
Mage: Guldan
Bruiser: Sonya
Specialist: Zagara
Tank: Johanna or Garrosh

If you can play those 6 characters on a decent level you will be out of gold soon and not back in silver.
The new season is near. Matchmaking will be pretty wild until it settles down a couple weeks after the reset. Try taking a break from the solo grind and play with some friends instead. :)
Were you placed at gold 2?

I love that the playerbase is so unanimously dumb, that the solution to stop yourself from losing is to check other people's profiles and TELL THEM what they're good at because they have no chance of figuring it out on their own. Lmao.
On a losing streak at the moment myself. 7 games so far.

Pick a tank, damage dealers can't follow up, lose 3v2 (in their favour), can't hit skillshots. When I peel, they dive back in.

Pick a damage dealer, the tanks play like *little cats*, running at 60% HP, don't engage, don't commit, are more worried by their KDA than anything else.

Pick a healer and heroes run out of range, wondering why they don't get healed.

I did have a string of good, competitive matches a little while ago, so the game probably thought it was time to give the real HOTS experience again.
Abathur is one of those heroes that can be really good, but most of the time his job can be done as effectively or better by someone who can show up to fights. On top of that his team has to know how to play with him. That’s a lot for golds. Even if you’re great you’re still hindering yourself.

I’d say learn how to play ranged auto attack heroes... specialist that push hard too. Soak soak soak. Camp before objective.

No boss during curse. Attack immortal first.
