Hero Class Update??

General Discussion
I don't know where to put this, but hopefully here is alright....

My Concern is, when its my first time in this game, the Hero Class got me a little confused, and im sure im not the only one... so i'm here to suggest something to fix it somehow...

Like for example, Jaina being a Assassin, as for what i know, Assassin is supposed to be like Valeera type of character, thats one of the reasons why and maybe Blizzard try to make it more clear...

Oh and after this one, after this one, perhaps some Characters needed to be Reclass...

Thank You...
Hero Class Changes

Specialist: Mostly Supportive Characters, but capable of being a all rounder if necessary, as they also focused on buff and debuffs and etc. I suggest remove the "Support" class but combine it with the "Specialist Class instead.

Support: (Removed)

(New) Cast: Mostly Ranged Characters, whose Mana and Ability Dependent, while have a large mana pool and spell power.

Assassin: Change the Icon Color, this is are mostly melee characters, that not only focused on physical attacks, but also focused on Attack and Movement speed, Agility, Evasion, Stealthy and not much reliant on Abilities, most of them have low health and mana.

Warrior: Tanky Characters, whose focused is to protect squishy allies, whose high health and defense and regeneration is its greatest strength, but still capable of high damage and etc.

Remove the Support class? You sound like a Blizzard employee already!
They are reworking hero roles and it will come soon (My guess is that this will be officially announced on blizzcon).

It will be something like Main tank, bruiser, ranged assassin, melee assassin, healer, support.
I think the current classes are named correctly. The thing is you misinterpret "assassin" as "rogue", meanwhile in HotS/moba context "assassin" means a "hitman", a "killer", a role supposed to kill fast, deliver high amount of damage in short amount of time.

Also I see a flaw in your propositions, because for example tracer (ranged, no mana) or butcher (who is an assassin) or few others don't fall under your categories or could be categorized under few of them spreading even more confusion than you are trying to avoid.

Instead of trying to change the game to go along with your point of view try to play it a little more and adjust yourself to the current system. I think the real problem in here is you come from WoW maybe or another game where assassin was strictly associated with rogue/thief-like class.
PieknyTomek is right: assassins are typically referred to as rogue-type characters in most other games and stories, but in Heroes it's an umbrella term for DPS characters. Arguably, there is an issue in that the name is confusing, so renaming the class to "Damage" or the like could help.

I also feel the class rework proposed by the OP misses quite a few heroes, namely autoattackers both ranged and melee. Where does Raynor fit into this new class system? Or Tracer? Or Illidan?

If there is one thing I do happen to be in favor of, it's the idea of simplifying the class system in Heroes down to the DPS/Tank/Support trifecta Blizzard is so fond of, and instead working to allow heroes in each of these classes branch out into a diverse range of playstyles, including potentially playstyles belonging to another class. Abathur will always have some supportive elements due to his symbiote, for example, but deserves to have his more push- and damage-focused builds, i.e. his locust and trap builds respectively, made just as viable as his top hat build.

Good luck with that
We already know that a role rework is coming and that Multi-Class and Specialist are both roles that will be going away.
Here's what the 4 roles currently mean, to clear up confusion

Warrior: contains tanks and bruisers, high HP characters who generally all have some for of CC or displacement, tanks generally have more stuns or utility, but less damage, while bruisers generally can not peel that well, but have a good amount of damage
Assassin: the damage dealers, includes mages, who cast spells as their damage source, AA heroes, who do most of their damage by auto attacking, and everything in between, poke damage, sustain damage, burst damage, % damage.
Support: the helpers, not just the healers. includes healers, generally who cast spells to heal allies, and supports, characters that buff other heroes and generally do a bit more damage or offensive utility (stuns, armor breaks) then healers.

Specialists: weird characters, some could be classified as support, some as assassin, some are just to weird to put put into other roles, like the lost vikings.
I think it should be something like this.

Damage Classes:
Assassins - divers and finishers with decent burst damage, such as Genji or Nova.
Rangers - ranged DPS or single-target focus, such as Raynor or Hanzo.
Mages - ranged AoE spellcasters, like KT or Li Ming.
Slayers - melee DPS or spellcasters with some sustain, like Butcher or Alarak.

Tank Classes:
Bruisers - sustain-through-combat fighters with decent damage, such as Artanis or Sonya.
Main Tanks - focus around disrupting and soaking damage, such as Stitches or ETC.
Off Tanks - somewhere between Main Tanks and Bruisers, such as Dehaka or Leoric.

Support Classes:
Healers - straight up healing niche, such as Uther or Morales.
Utilities - disruption, vision, or damage mitigation focus, such as Medivh or Tassadar.

Other Classes:
Siegers - laning and jungling focus, like Sylvanas and Azmodan.
Specialists - sort of the miscellaneous and new multi-class class, such as TLV or Varian.

Just my take on it.
