I really hope it's reaper.

Reaper from Overwatch or the Reaper unit from Starcraft?
It's going to be lord marugar from wow. We need some bone storm in HOTS.

Whitemane iirc came before Mephisto so I am betting on its going to be a Starcraft hero. Selendis (support), Vorazun (assassin)could be difficult cause Zeratul fills the dark templar role. Karax (specialist), Arcturus Mengsk verbal assassin (who just makes speeches for the enemy team).

There's certainly evidence that Selenis is coming, but the early wisdom suggested she would be channeling the Protoss Adept (I believe) from Starcraft 2.

Hmm... Baine (or Cairn) Bloodhoof would be awesome, if we cannot get Imperius... but at the same time, I would absolutely love to see Zurvan (Starcraft), Gabriel Tosh (Starcraft) Baine-Cairn (Warcraft) or Imperius (Diablo).

I really, really, really, really think Imperius is next.

I know at this point this is starting to turn into my predictions of Blaze / Firebat from my various datamining; but this seems almost so likely I can't imagine it being anyone else.

I think my problem, however, is I can't envision a kit for Imperius. IMHO, I would have expected to him to almost play like the current Tyrael does if Tyrael wasn't reworked into a nearly pure auto-attack hero back in 2015. Once more, I can't imagine Imperius remotely having anything like Tyrael's old kit.

I guess if I was forced to guess, I'd imagine Imperius as some sort of weird mix between Cassia, Johanna and DPS Varian.

I guess its time once again for the obligatory "Guess who's next" thread.

Let the guessing / theorycrafting begin!

I hope that the next hero is better matchmaking.

I thought of Imperius as a medium tank, capable of doing massive AOE damage. Based on his lore and footage in Diablo 3. Kind of like Sonya, but more leading the charge front like tank, while dealing AOE damage (like Mephisto)

I'd imagine him to share some things with Tyrael... but not really... there is a huge different between them... Tyrael is the Arch Angel of Justice, but he is beneath Imperius, who is the supreme commander of the angelic host, the elected leader of the Angiris council and also the absolute best warrior within the entire Angelic civilization... This guy should be like Alarak and Artanis put into one... incredible damage with incredible tankiness... a complete bad @ss

That wouldn't be the next hero. The person who fixes it would be a hero.
No Overwatch heroes this year, so I'm expecting at least one Overwatch Hero announced. I would like Mei, Symmetra, or Sombra.

IMHO, Mei and Symmetra are the most likely. I think Mei for Christmas would be very fitting. We've gotten two ice based heroes for Christmas in the past.

I tend to think Winston and Reinhardt are very high on the plausible list for "coming soon".

We've also gotten Ragnaros for Christmas and Kel'Thuzad in Summer, so...(and the Blaze announcement was Christmas-themed, too. The live action one where he roasts Jaina)
Korlic, Madawc and Talic is a triple release.
BAAL.
and his heroic will be "ENOUGH!"

>sadly, I doubt this
>but I can hope

I'd also like D2 barbarian, D2 sorceress, D2 Paladin, D2 Druid and D2 assassin.

Like to see imperius for sure but for Gabriel Tosh it would be weird since the whole ghost idea is taken by Nova.
It's been more than a half year so I am actually relatively okay with another OW hero being added to the roster. Anyway as said earlier on this thread, it's about that time anyhow.
It will be a big name to announce at Blizzcon. Nobody obscure.
Not 100% relevant, but the next hero rework is going to be Chen.

I can feel it.
