Guy suggested us to report a teammate for troll pick.

General Discussion
In a rank game (masters at that), someone picks a pick we don't like. So in the middle of the game, on voice chat, teammate told us all to report them for chat abuse. Says if enough people do it in a game, they will get banned.

The troll never typed a word all game.

Nice reporting system blizzard.
No. You can report him for AFK and nonparticipation and if enough people report him he gets banned (sot silenced)

Reports for abusive chat when the person hasn't said anything are automatically ignored

Not only is that last line not true, but reports for anything other than abusive chat go unanswered.

So its blizzards fault for your lack of character ? I see... Did the guy feed or did he try his best ? if he did his best then let him play.

No, it's blizzard's fault for not actually taking the time to investigate why the reports were being filed in the first place, or from whom they were being filed.

Do they track the IP addresses of the people filing these reports? And if they do, are they aware that people can hide their identity using virtual private networks to make all of their dummy accounts seem like individual people with unique IP addresses?

Or do they just think it easier to ban first and not-apologize later? True to form, all they care about is getting your money.

They have a very odd policy here... They will ban your account, but being that the game is free, all you have to do is make a new one.

Heck, if you have been paying with real money for stuff, you can STILL use the SAME billing information from your banned account, on your new one.
