...Then... leave the forum?

I'm already in it. Been playing since early 2015. I'm going to respond to every post you make draco. No matter how ridiculous and absurd your posts are.

Bro if you're gonna do this, you gotta use his masterpiece !

I'm actually for torture in prison.
You’re gonna see a lot of wild comps and skill gaps in quick match. Just take a deep breath and really learn how far you can push your hero and figure out its limits. As crazy as quick match gets it really allows you to figure out what your hero is good at and what it isn’t so great at.

Another thing I recommend is looking up build paths or reading up on the talents so you kind of get an idea what’s in store for you when you get into a match. Don’t lock yourself into one build path every game. Pick talents based on enemy comps.

Another thing I say is try out 2-3 heroes from every class just to get a feel of how the warriors assassins and supports feel. It’ll help you down the line if you ever decide to do ranked.

Last but not least have a good time and try not letting quickmatch get you down.
Lost of good advice + this: start with simple heroes, learn the mechanic, for example if you can play jaina ok, or some specialist like zagara azmo, or try even a tank like nerub, muradin, stitches then ocne u are okay u dont die too much and know how to lane, soak, do camps/objectives, pass to harder heroes.

Also always try to learn or understand the basic principle, combo or build of the hero before you try it, like watching others, checking builds/guides, or some twitch/youtube, it helps a lot.

eg Diablo is awesome if he pins the enemy to the wall, massive damage and usually if its a smaller hero like assassin or support your team should follow and get an easier kill.

or for example if you are a mage be very careful where you stand, always try to cast spells as fast as possible to nuke target and back off so their tank or diver wont grab you.

tl;dr every hero has its own "simple" method of use which you can apply with a bit of thinking and practice

I've played HOTS for a little while, mostly on and off, and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for me! I've really only played vs. AI because I'm not very confident in my moba skills. Thanks!

Find someone to play with. It makes the game more fun and they will often let you tag along to learn.

Never fight at a talent disadvantage (i.e. lv 11 versus 13) because your team will lose. Soak exp instead.

Learn objectives well. I've watched my teammates feed endlessly over the first tribute in Cursed Hollow when you need 3 to activate the curse. If it's not worth the death, leave it be.

Learn your talents and cooldowns well and tailor your build to the match around you. The right talent can make or break a game.

Have fun. That's the whole point of the game.
1. You should spend your gems for 50% gem heroes. You get 150 gem for every 25 lvl. Newest heroes 10k gold and 750 gem. So you can buy them 375 gem.
2. You should reroll those chests, where you got 4 white stuff.
3. You should keep a little gold always for rerolls.
4. Best beginner hero what i found was Raynor. You should give a try to him if you can.
5.You should follow or at least take a look after your teammates ping.
6.You musn't try to destroy towers withouth minions. You die quickly.
7.You should not choose Tyrande as a beginner hero at the moment (support lane), because it's not for beginners. Jaina and Muradin better decision.

Good luck.

Don't worry, you're likely no better or worse than most other players.

The three biggest tips i can give you are

1. Before Lvl 10, if a lane is empty, go there to get the exp from minion deaths.

2. #1 reason why people fail at this game is that they always want to fight. Don't fight when you're outnumbered, and check your map before you chase someone. His teamates might not be far. Don't get yourself killed trying to challenge a merc camp unless you're certain you'll win the fight. A mercenary camp is never worth dying for. Ever.

3. Grab merc camps only right before an objective will spawn. If you grab them during the laning ,phase, they'll just get killed, because your enemy are in lane, kust like you.

Things like these and also things like other players brought up on this thread should be IN THE FRONT LOADING page of HotS.
Example: 2. #1 reason why people fail at this game is that they always want to fight.
This happens in EVERY SINGLE match whether ranked or QM .
Literally last night in Garden of terror 3 of my team members stood mid and fought for about 4-5 MINUTES , since the supps never ran out of mana and it kept going and going. Whoever has more than 1 year exp in Hots knows how much time in a match is this .
Afterwards , no matter if we are 5 or there was someone dead , whoever saw A RED POINT on the map , they immediately ran and started a fight .
I cant even express how much this disgusts me , this behavior . So a major step to a good healthy community is some of the tips to be on the loading page , or like in-game guide with rules or something . Even old players still do some of the rookie mistakes they shouldnt .
I feel ashamed that i have to remember a player with 12 K games to watch the MINIMAP , attend obj or when/how to soak or fight /not 9vs10 ... come on
