So is Azmodan going to get nerfs or nah?

General Discussion
I vote to just revert him back. He didn't need this rework. His past Q quest was at least well deserved because you had to be skilled to empower it. As it is now, he can make his dunk and lazer so strong, so he works well with both team fights and 1v1.

I can't recall if they have ever done something like this, where they further buffed a hero that was already steadily doing better and better everyday.

Release Garrosh

He will be an assassin/mage whenever they get around to removing/reclassifying the specialist heroes.

Except he fit the specialist role just fine before the rework (which was a rework no one asked for or needed). They've turned him into an assassin/mage because their meta is falling into the problem of a burst meta and trying to make things all flashy for professional play. They're sacrificing real balance and meta in the overall game for a flashy show that might bring in more players

As somebody who used to main Azmo, i can fully agree with this.

In my opinion he was one of the strongest solo pushers, with decent teamfight capacity, and now he can even dish out way too much AoE damage (though lack a little of siege).

Now, that isn't certainly a problem, and more of a L2P issue, because his AoE damage can be easily negated, but in the end that isn't really his job to do so in the first place.

I always thought of Azmo as the king of lane control, and lane pushing, but now he's basically become some sort AoE assassin. Besides the scoreboard damage, which is useless anyways, but it became boring to win with him, as well as lose against him. He should stay a god damn spec, with some teamfight, not the AoE dealer of your team.

... just my 2 cents.

No he didn't, not after they changed the meaning of Specialist from "siege" to "unconventional warfare" ages ago. Azmodan was and is a mage with some summons.

In-cor-rect. You keep trying to push this, but it's blatantly false. People have in fact asked for a rework - I happen to be one of them.

He already was, he was just bad at it because all of his abilities were incredibly undertuned on their own, and his talents were such that he could only afford to build toward one of them to function. In competitive play, where people aren't potatoes, CC is common, and meme builds get you destroyed, his one true build was centered on Globe of Annihilation.

i was one of the deniers of OP az back when the patch first came around. since tehen i've had a few tastes of same rank az in HL (some people refused to ban him and he became first pick on enemy team) and now i agree he needs some tuning :(

He's at 55% winrate with 69% popularity and banned in 17K games. You need further proof that this hero is overpowered? He needs nerfs! Badly!

Why talk about that when we can talk about Mephisto's spooky, ooooky Ultimate?
