To return or not to return...

General Discussion
Hello, I've taken a pretty long break from HotS a while ago, about after the tower ammo change. I was wondering if the game has improved or not for those who enjoy specialists or not. Or even if brawls have become more or less fun. I was just wondering if it's worth returning yet or not.

I played mostly QM if that matters.

Thank you.
Oh dear lord. Stay where you are. Don't come back, for your own safety. I'm trapped in this awful game and I've been looking for a way out for a long time. This addiction is so painful. I warned you...my friend...
dont come back

ive quit as well

i didnt get silenced i just couldnt put up with the forced losses. im playing platinum but am paired with gold and silver players
It's NOT worth it. This game is so unbalanced, so ridiculously snowbally, it's insane. Anyone who prefers not to tear their hair out, don't get into this game.
I'm taking a a break from the game. HotS frustrates me in ways no other game I play comes close to and I've lost all motivation to keep playing. Maybe I'll play it seriously again when my boo Sylvanas gets her well-deserved rework and she becomes an announcer.

Oh dear, that was my favorite map..
Azmodan's laser only last a few seconds now. Sylvanas can only stop towers with basic attacks. On the bright side, I do like Raynor's rework. I've always considered him a spec/!@# hybrid. RIP Hyperion.
It's Friday. ARAM has returned!!!

Meanwhile varian can still <insert lude comment here> and forts down faster than either az or sylv
Game is just a cash grab with no other focus..I was playing during the time yuh quit and still am ...things are simply worse..don’t waste your time, the devs don’t
No it's f****** awful.
Try it for yourself? It is literally the only way to know for certain.
Personally I like it, playing it more or less daily since alpha.
If you like it, stay. If not, move on.
I haven't played in a couple of months, but every time I visit the forums to see what's going on, I'm reminded of why I quit. And there's also the fact that I can't forgive Blizzard for choosing loot boxes over fixing their game when they launched 2.0. And all of the problems that the game had in Alpha still exist today.
Dont return. This !@#$ is worse n worse every patch.
Return if you want. Despite what it seems on here, no one can actually force you to return or leave; it is your choice.

If you want to return, test the water, and believe it is the right temperature or wait for it to warm up, go ahead.

Anyway relying solely on what is essentially a comments section is not always the best source for trying something.

It's a great way to gauge whether or not something is worth it. My wife and I are expecting our first child in a couple of months, and you can bet before pretty much every purchase we've made for our baby, we've sat down and read the reviews of people who used the product to see if it's worth buying.

It's the same concept here. The OP is essentially reading the reviews of HotS before deciding if they want to come back. It's completely understandable. And yes, the forums are mostly just the "bad reviews", but those tend to be the most honest.
To me the game started going downhill right around when they made the tower changes. So if you left the game around that time it hasn't gotten any better and many would argue its gotten worse.

However since you haven't played in a while you should log in and try a few games yourself. There have been a few fun heroes released since then and you may still have fun for a while at least. The fun will probably wear off though once the problems with the game become more clear to you and the freshness of the newer heroes wanes.

Like I said, it is not always the best thing. Always being the key word.

I'm just telling him, give it a shot. In this scenario, there is not much to lose. Have fun, see if he likes it or not.

I mean, come on, you cannot deny that there have been users on here that have pretty much said, "Quit this garbage game, LoL is infinitely times better" or something along those lines. There will be various opinions regarding a situation and the best way to gauge it in this case is to see for yourself
If you need someone to convince you to play a game again, it may not be the game for you. If you're truly interested, take an hour out of your life and just play it. You'll get ~3 games in and have a good idea if you want to continue (assuming you've truly played previously).
