Yes, this game is basically built to play with 5 friends to have the best optimal time. I don't see it as a big deal as long as matchmaking also matches based on skill. It's just advertising.

I built 3 charges on tracer the other day, blinked into a group and tossed the ult perfectly.All 3 times I died as soon as I Q and the bomb disappeared. Don't think I've ever felt so much rage.
