Hi all, we're continuing to investigate these reports and have found that some of the players who are experiencing this have been able to make progress with the general connection troubleshooting info that we offer [url="https://battle.net/support/article/611?utm_source=Internal-TechForum&utm_medium=Posting&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS&utm_content=solution"]here[/url].

In addition to the latency troubleshooting, programs like Advanced SystemCare and Asusgamefirstservice.exe have been found to cause connection issues with Overwatch. For the sake of troubleshooting, we recommending uninstalling IOBit - Advanced SystemCare and disabling asusgamefirstservice.exe through the services.

To disable asusgamefirstservice.exe:
  • press the windows key and R on your keyboard at the same time
  • type and enter: services.msc
  • find asusgamefirstservice.exe and double-click to open
  • change the "startup" dropdown to disabled
  • click the 'Stop' button then okay to apply the changes.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps:
  • Add an exception/exclusion for the game in Avast (if present)
  • Disable Plays.tv services
  • Run the Battle.net App in [url="https://battle.net/support/article/2700027?utm_source=Internal-TechForum&utm_medium=Posting&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS&utm_content=solution"]Administrator Mode[/url]

@Warmongerous: The connection itself looks good. Some steps to try-

@dporem: Disable the Game Mode in your Technicolor router settings and then set the built-in Router firewall to the 'Medium' setting. If this doesn't help, I recommend trying through a different router. If it was provided by your ISP, please inquire with them as to whether they can send you a different make/model of router.

Do you have a Medium setting that you can select instead of Standard? If not, what level options do you have available?

The levels that i have available for the Firewall are: BlockAll, Standard and Disabled.

I'll try to disable the UPnP tomorrow and informe if the problem was solved

OK, first go ahead and try to disable just the Game option, and test out the game. If the issue persists, go ahead and select disabled for the firewall, and test the game again.

Btw, what was your router's brand and model number?

@dporem: Disable the Game Mode in your Technicolor router settings and then set the built-in Router firewall to the 'Medium' setting. If this doesn't help, I recommend trying through a different router. If it was provided by your ISP, please inquire with them as to whether they can send you a different make/model of router.
So I dont want to jinx it but it has been 44 minutes since my last DC and the last things I did were the instructions in this post save for the google one. I will continue to time it.

Edit I didnt do the port forwarding part either because that was already done yesterday and still experienced the DC issue.

Edit2 Its been 1 hour and 25 minutes with no DC I might cry if this is the real thing. And ask Blizzard for forgiveness for any negative things I said.

Edit3 Leh sight, I spoke to soon 1 hr and 29 minutes DCed....back to the drawing board.

Obtain ip successful
Connection successful
Psn sign in successful
Nat type 2
same here when I play map numbani with my friend , system said Failed to connect , other map work fine

Try disabling Game Mode in the router settings, and then enable the built in Router firewall on the Medium setting. You should be able to set those without rebooting the router and the changes should kick in immediately.


I have enable the Game Mode on my router yesterday (to test) and, the "failed to connect serve" problem start to appeared.... i will disabled again :D

Oh my god, I love you! It works perfectly now, been playing for hours. Props to you, you did a great job. One of the best customer service I've seen.
