I can't find a city like Dorado in Mexico?

General Discussion
I was looking at all the cities in Overwatch, but Dorado is really nowhere to be found I looked at the Soldier 76 Origin Trailer and found that it was located in the East coast of Mexico, but there just aren't any steep mountain ranges on that side?

Any explanation for this?
Considering its in the future. Maybe its a new city named after the legend of el dorado.
It'll exist at some point in the next 60 years according to Overwatch lore. Don't know how that hasn't made it into the almanac yet. I'll have to call and complain.

I mean that makes sense, but the terrain hasn't changed at all. And yet there are really mountain steep shores.
What makes it on the east coast? On the Pacific coast line they have the Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range which is where Dorado could be located on.. When I visited the Yucatan, a lot of the temples and pyramids were in somewhat hilly areas but for the most part, that region is flat.

Perhaps there was a massive earthquake between 2017 and 2060ish that fundamentally altered the landscape in the area?

Or heck, with the level of tech they have available in Overwatch, they might have changed the landscape artificially for some reason.

Ah I see. I just looked it up and the Sierra Madre Oriental range is closer to the east coast so maybe that is what it is. Or maybe the blizz devs just failed geography.
I'm wondering how Jeff can explain this, or another employee?
Well find it fast b4 Trump builds a wall.
i know this is last year and all but try looking up "Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende" that's pretty close to Dorado, except no beach.
Doesn't exist, Dorado is like San Miguel de Allende and Zacatecas, but in the coast, Dorado is a combination of a lot os places in Mexico, in fact, the design of Dorado is based on a place in Brasil.
It is kinda like King's Row not being in London, these places very different than our world.

You can consider it like fantasy realm more than a real world story.
that might because it was accidentally based on a city in italy https://www.gamespot.com/articles/overwatchs-dorado-map-was-accidentally-based-on-th/1100-6448124/
