@Jeff, regarding Eichenwalde

Firstly, the map looks amazing from what we've seen in the trailer so hats off to your guys for that, my main question is regarding the mode, i mean we can obviously see a payload but i'm curious if its going to be straight payload, hybrid or, on a random thought, a reverse hybrid mode, and by that i mean push the payload 2 points then cap the final point, because this is honestly the impression i got from the trailer with you basically opening the doors to the throne room which "could" be a capture point, care to share or is it all super secret? :P
It's stated as a hybird map if i can remember correctly.
From the description it seems to be a reverse hybrid as it says you push a payload then capture a point

Thats what i assume from the trailer, seems the final point will be he throne room, will be an interesting map to play as i'm really quite fond of payload maps, its the main mode i played in TF2 :P
Yeah as stated it's reverse hybrid, so think Kings Row or Hollywood backwards.
i do like the idea of breaching castle walls. fits nicely. i assume the defending teams are the good guys in this scenario.

To be honest i don't know, judging by the map the "king" is already dead, so the attackers could be trying to reclaim his body for burial from raiders squatting in the castle, seeing as it does seem to be quite a while after the initial assault on that castle judging by the looks of the wrecked bastions and plant growth

I actually think the defense is the bad guys. It could be Talon looking to loot Crusader tech and the attackers are trying to push them out and secure the body for proper burial when they hear about it.
So, just to clear things up. Eichenwalde is not a reverse hybrid. It is a regular hybrid like London or Hollywood. Cap the point, then move the payload. Sorry if there was any confusion here. Not to say that couldn't be a cool future thing, but it's not the case on this map.
^sweet. Would like the reverse payload idea. Glad they are considering it.
Highly Rated

Well, you guys have a month to change it, right?

; P
...and then we take control of the King on the throne and he stomps around and kills the other team. Until they can take him down. In which he is defeated by climbing all over and attacking his body...just like the Cronos fight in God of War!

Hi Dave! Thanks for replying. What do we need with the battering ram in the throne room? Seems like it's outlived its usefulness once it breaches the main gate!

The trailer made it look the exact opposite of that. And reverse hybrid would be more fun. I'm not sure how showing the inside of the castle really matters when the escort takes place outside. When will that part of the map be utilised? Will the payload go into the castle too?

So we deliver a battering ram to inside a castle? o.O
