INB4: I don't care about hiding names. People like this should be perma banned from comp.
I don't get why they think people AREN'T Going to call out smurfs and cheaters here even when told not to. Where ELSE were they going to get a public visibility on a problem?

Check this one out I ran into TWICE the other day.

What I don't understand is why Blizzard doesn't have a place to submit things like this. This isn't something that's "iffy" or "questionable". It's blatant and easy to track. The proof is in their profile and stats.
wow.

I agree that people like this should be banned from comp, and perhaps even Overwatch as a whole but the rule of no naming and shaming on the forums still stands.
Raven you should add my link to your original post. Keep a collection going lol.

But what is naming and shaming? Are we not allowed to post a screenshot of a match of ours that just so happens to have high rank player portraits in said screenshot? If we don't actually name and don't say anything besides "wow", is that shaming? Is it shaming if it's a matter of a faulty system and not really something they are "officially" doing wrong?

It's really no different than posting a link to a YouTube video of a bad matchmaking experience.

People like this should be perma banned from comp.

This is why.

Yes, that player was Masters as is now over 2,000 SR lower, but naming and shaming just isn't allowed on the forums because you wouldn't want it done to you if this person was actually playing the game the appropriate way.

correct, you aren't allowed to, especially considering there is at least some vindictive purpose behind why OP blocks out the names of other players except the boosters.

it isn't, and that's you would be breaking the same rule if you were to post a video like that.

Use the in-game report feature. It can be used after the match by going to social -> recent players

Wont do anything.
Should definitely be punishable.
Yah i had 2 grand master in a low silver game thursday...

Deranking/Smurfing...
Hope blizx will condider it cheating soon (it is an anuse of the sr system and an unfair advantage)
that name sounds familiar, I think I've had him in some of my matches wow

edit: yup, and the guy makes YouTube videos and is related in some way with other YouTuber/Streamer. Must be either one of those lol I deranked now road to GM or some real shady practice.

Sorry for the witch-hunt tho but it sucks because the guy is clearly trying to make a profit out of this either way and this shouldn't be encouraged at all.
Throwers are a huge issue even happening in gm.
But even bigger are auto decayed gm's playing in dia to boost friends thx to 50sr loss a day. Now with not even going up for winstreaks a lot they just have a fun time for them wrecking noobs.

I play on a smurf to play with friends, in both QP and competitive. My QP MMR makes it too hard for them and we can't comp together, so it makes sense.

Other than that, I play on my smurf solo if I want to play with the competitive ruleset but not have to stress too much about my own rank.

I have a smurf at 1100, 3000, 3550, and my main at 4250.

He can call it what he wants, it's boosting if he does this in comp.

Jeff Kaplan even said this behavior is punishable, and somehow this guy is still playing. How many games has this person ruined for people, who just let it go and didn't make a post.

? blizz was asking for this when they decided NOT to separate party SR from solo queue SR

it's !@#$ing hilarious
Edn I'm pretty sure I had in a plat game of mine at the time though he was 2600.

Boosted or deranked in purpose blizzard does need to fix players who have such huge gaps
Raven, Vandrick - those are cute images. However, it can always be worse... Check this out.

I actually made a post on the 8th of April, asking how this was acceptable. Seems no one was really interested.

Wow... Blizzard needs to start enforcing their rules. There is no way that should ever happen. There's no reason for those people to be in a bronze match other than push people's SR down.
