oh my god that photo deno
Fact is he did it to play with his friends, to improve his friends gaming ability. I don't consider that illegal. With the skill restriction in place he has no other choice, no other option. Fact is if that player had been on your team you probably wouldn't have bothered complaining.
There are other choices and options. Make another account. Play just QP for a bit, help your friend sure but not by doing that.

Why does he need to play with his friend in comp? There's quickplay or arcade for that. The fact is, this is boosting, which is "illegal" (against the rules). His friend is not as skilled as he is and he is inflating his friend's SR at the expense other people's SR.
A legitimate diamond player will easily tilt a low bronze match. Hell I'm just gold and if I were to play in say the low 1000s I would have a pretty significant impact.

Make no mistake about it that is intentional deranking.
I still say this is easily fixed by adding a "floor" value for your SR/MMR used for matchmaking. So if you get to diamond, derank all you want but you'll never be matched with a value less than the bottom of platinum.
They are true Scrubs.
i just have to play today against deranked diamond 3 games row because he was boosting his friends who are in silver, you cant even leave spawn point when he head shot us if we step outside safe zone.
Unfair all ways. He really love stomping low ranks "gg ez " by diamond booster.
the last couple of weeks its been regular to see diamonds in silver. we get slaughtered.
diamonds should never be allowed to play games below diamond.
wanna play a low game go QP.
They should be ashamed for doing this. Stay in their own bracket.
Pretty sure I've seen Eon on the forums before. Show your face!
Make it so that 250 SR or so below your season high is what determines if you can group with someone if your current SR falls below that.

Raven, Vandrick - those are cute images. However, it can always be worse... Check this out.

I actually made a post on the 8th of April, asking how this was acceptable. Seems no one was really interested.

I seem to go up against that Bastion guy two or three times a week, both when he is throwing to get back down and when he is climbing back up, I'm guessing the climb back up is mainly to farm competitive points to buy gold weapons.
As far as I am concerned. If you lose more than 1500 rating you are an intentional thrower or an account buyer. Both of these kinds of players should be banned.

1000000% agree. The game isn't perfect, no game is, but when players are bringing you the problems to fix with concrete proof and you ignore it, something just isn't right.
Played with a torb that dropped from 3200+ to 1800 a few days ago. We worked around him and still won, but he bailed right before we won. Thats when we noticed what he was doing lol Scumbag failed.

Obvious boost and Blizzard is doing nothing about it.

INB4: I don't care about hiding names. People like this should be perma banned from comp.

Agreed completely. I've seen this in 5 games over the last 72 hours and have been teamed with them during their clearly intentional throwing/de-ranking games. I ran into one duo team doing this again once they sufficiently tanked their rating, and was treated to another loss when they crushed our team with vastly superior skill and experience.

I used to remind people that it's not polite to call out players in forums.

However, I realized at some point that you aren't identifying anyone by just revealing their name and not the digits. So I don't care anymore either.

no fact is that he is boosting his buddy. If his friend just wanted to play they would go qp or arcade but they want to make sure they gain that Sr. It's sleazy and cheap

It's really no different than posting a link to a YouTube video of a bad matchmaking experience.

People like this should be perma banned from comp.

This is why.

Yes, that player was Masters as is now over 2,000 SR lower, but naming and shaming just isn't allowed on the forums because you wouldn't want it done to you if this person was actually playing the game the appropriate way.
Now your telling me what to think? That's unbelievable. People like you are why gerrymandering exists. If I person does something against the rules, they did it on purpose and deserve for other people to know.
