i was playing in fighting games lately and i see sometimes a red label over over there battle tage name and its label them as a leaver or disconnects . also i see them get into games with other leavers / disconnected players matches for a few games so i was wondering if you guys can take this idea as a reconsideration.
We'll definitely take the idea into consideration. Our philosophy has been that we would rather not have leavers playing the game at all (especially in Competitive Play). We keep increasing the penalty for leaving and will continue to do so. We're in the process of implementing a new policy which would take into account how many Competitive Seasons you have been banned from and at a certain point, prevent you from playing Competitive ever again.

it all goes back to the idea that "SMURFS are OK". I don't understand why you agree that it is, because it really isn't and is ruining the community - starting with this leaver issue. They don't care as "it isn't their main" - they leave all the time. They leave comp games right after they WIN a match.

Want to hear the best part? They leave within 15 seconds of the match starting, get the "this game will end in ..." message, then rejoin to avoid the penalty and regain their SR. Tell me how that doesn't fit in the loophole of your "increasing penalty for leaving" plan.

Though you should still look into - people saying they are getting penalized for leaving after victory \ defeat screen before moving onto another system.

That's a step in the right direction. Hallelujah

Now, onto reviewing and banning throwers!

In Dota 2, they have a low priority queue.

Which is essentially people who leave a lot, or get reported a lot.

They all play with each other.

It's essentially a punishment for those who are bad.

It definitely worked as a deterrent.
That's great and all Jeff, but what are you doing about loot boxes?

Yes please. If people can't learn from the previous seasons to not leave, they don't deserve it at all
People moan about how awful ELO hell is
They haven't experienced hell until they've experienced low priority

It would be fantastic if low-pri was brought here
Stylosa video about this topic incoming!

Definitely. We had a lengthy meeting about this yesterday. We've been doing a lot of research on the problem for months now. We think we have some good solutions. We still need players to help us by reporting people. We do both manual and auto detection on our end, but player reports are the most immediate indicator that point us in the right direction. We also discussed the need for more feedback for the person doing the reporting so it doesn't feel like your report is going into the void.

You need to be careful with this. Consider some mishandled/bugged leaves IE the banning from off-season after S4.

Thats fine and dandy but wont stop people on PS4 cause they can create as many accounts as they please for free. Btw where is the report feature on consoles?
