I keep losing connection to the game server

pls help Blizzard I got the game yesterday
blizzard is just another riot games now, bad loot crates, random dc, you pay for crap you get crap. My advice, don't buy anything from blizzard, this company died when vanilla wow died, sc2 full of toxic kids, hearthstone/most broken p2w game on the market, overwatch, dc 10x cant even play, current wow, horrible transfer of ownership resulting in trash game. My advice, play solo player games because most competitive games is full of negative people full of themselves who care not for others, (this post is a reality check). Don't waste your time/money/energy on companies that don't make the world a better place. Don't hate on people you don't know, and never trust anyone you cant see face to face, they will do anything and everything to make your life miserable because they are miserable. Wishing those who read this a wonderful life, drama queen free, ignore the idiots, game and have fun or don't game at all.

I found the solution!
I deleted my settings file, and then started up Overwatch, and it worked fine.
Well, at least for me.
Apparently I had my settings on high? I remember putting them on medium.

I've been trying to play all day yesterday and today and I've only been able to get on overwatch once out of both days only to be disconnected from the server minuets later. These problems are causing me to not want to play overwatch anymore. I don't know if it's just Christmas and the servers are getting overloaded but this seems to be happening a lot so I hope we can get a fix to the servers soon so I can actually enjoy one of my favorite games again
I'm also still experiencing disconnects. It seems to be worse when I'm trying to play in a group in the evening because I was playing earlier and it was actually working.

I just lost connection to the game. It was buffering a bit so i ended my queue. Then the game crashed and when I rejoined I was banned for 10 mins and down 50sr. Even after I ended the queue it still penalized me for "leaving".

they will compensate you with a suspension, just like they suspend you for crashing when a patch suddenly causes severe crashes.
I'm on a pc and have the same problem. it started with the last patch. hope they fix it soon.
On the PC, and it was fine when I last was on about 5 hours ago. I just got on again and I keep getting disconnected from the servers now.
The only reason i have not gotten suspended yet is tha the game only lets me play for litterally like 8 seconds
I CAN'T EVEN GET A MATCH ALL I CAN DO IS HIT QP AND SEE THE MATCH TIMER FREEZE

For those of you who want to receive compensation or a refund of SR points, I doubt that will happen based on what is being said in the comments of the tweet made about the fixing of the connection issues. As customer support says "leaves for any reason result in leaver penalties" and "The reason for a leave doesn't come into play". So we have that now. Wonderfull. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are still possibilities that can be related to either your computer or your router. Is your sister also playing Overwatch on their own computer? My recommended step is check your Windows Firewall port configuration and then your router's port configuration:

I Did All These Steps, Nothing Changed. Stop Acting Like Its Our Fault When Clearly Its To Do With You Guys, We Payed Good Money To Play This Game And It Wont Allow Us. I am Currently Facing A -75% exp loss for 11 games because of these disconnects and it isn't even my fault. I Also Find It Appalling How You Guys BARELY Ever Respond To This Issue.

Going over the WinMTR results, it looks like there may have been an issue running the test due to the 100% loss through every hop apart from the first. We are seeing a spike of 2308 ms on the first hop though and we're not seeing that occur anywhere else. This is something we may want to take a look at as it would be your computer's connection to the router\modem:

What's the model of the modem that you're using? Do you have the option to test on a different network? Maybe a mobile hotspot\USB tether if you have a phone and data plan that supports it? In doing so, we'd be able to bypass the router\modem and test on a different network route which can help to rule out quite a few possibilities.
